Marty is 100% guilty, just in a different way than Wendy. He thinks he is being a good guy and doing things for the right reasons. Letting Ruth die put him on a path he can never get off of.

Whatever happened to the baby? Do we know where he went to live?
All of the Byrd's are evil people who can justify any of their actions to make them the "right" or "only" choices. Yes, I'm including the kids in that too. Reference the final scene and Charlotte threatened to kill Helen's DD if she talked. They learned from their parents.
I'm sorry Ruth got messed up in all of that, but she certainly wasn't innocent in all of it. She laundered, lied, cheated and murdered with the rest of them.

Just finished last night. OMG I wanted Wendy to be shot between the eyes too! She was the evil one. Marty was just sucked into all of it in the very beginning and struggled the entire time to wade thru the muck that Wendy made! So I wonder who gets all Ruths money now. Maybe 3 will get it, continue building the house and live there. I don't love that people think Marty was somehow innocent. He was not at all. As Wendy always accused him of, he always wanted to be the nice guy, but he lied and cheated his way through it too! Yes, she was Lady Macbeth to his Macbeth for sure (and was worse - absolutely), but he was not just suckered along by her. I feel like this is a testament to Jason Bateman. I think we all just want to love him. Another actor may not have gotten sympathy from us like he does.

I did retain my symptoms for Marty. It seemed like he just put his head down and worked to keep his family alive. Remember when he had a boat all lined up to escape and Wendy’s ambitions caused her to refuse to go?
Now Wendy, her I wanted something terrible to happen to. Although Laura Linney was amazing in the episode where she tries to get her brother to safety, and had to leave him to the cartel goon.
I’m now in that blue place you enter when a show you love is over.
I was shocked at Jonah shooting the PI, but then I remembered how much he looked up to Buddy, and Buddy would’ve shot him.
