Do you pay to be a member of any Patreon groups (not sure what they are called)? I follow a few people that offer more content through Pateron but haven't signed up because even though I like what they put out and am sure their Pateron would be good stuff, their free stuff is more than enough to keep up with. On the other hand it could be a way to support them to make sure the free stuff also keeps coming.
ETA: What price would stop you from joining $5, $10/month? $1/month is one thing, $10 is another, especially getting charged in USD, then it's even more to convert.
A few that come to mind are Yoga With Kassandra (hers is a paid community not Patreon). What Should I Read Next, which gives more exclusive things than you can find on her webpage or podcast. I'd rather read more books than read more about reading/be on the internet more.

I just learned about Patreon a couple of months ago from a watercolor artist I follow on YouTube. It's something I want to explore but I haven't had time.

I pay $1 a month to follow a scrapbooker on Patreon. Yep, probably the same one I do! RTS? that's the only one I do follow, but lately she's gotten stale.

I used to pay to be a patron of a podcast I love. I had to drop it to cut extra spending but once I’m working again I’ll pick it back up!

I pay $1 a month to follow a scrapbooker on Patreon. Yes, price would make a difference too. $1, $5 vs $10. I'm going to add that yo my question.

My son is an atmospheric music creator and has a Patreon, so I subscribe to him and send him $5 a month. Sounds like I'm a cheapskate, doesn't it? lol I support him in other ways! Other than that? No.

I am a Patreon to 2 creators:
Rob has a podcast - I’m a huge fan of their big brother content and there’s a ton of it plus I enjoy their coverage of a few other shows.
RixFlix - he runs a universal/Orlando YouTube that DH watches all.the.time and he wanted to support him.
I also subscribed to a scrapbooker for a while but I wasn’t really following their content so I dropped it.

I’m a patron for a couple people to thank them, and sometimes for the free content or other extras. Alternatively, occasionally I support someone by using the “buy me a coffee” link. One person had gone through a rough bout of covid and had a lot on her plate so I joined Patreon to support her.

I subscribe to two patreons, both knitting channels. One pretty much only releases content through Patreon and the other releases early to patrons, and also has some extra content.

Just one. At $1 a month for the video to come to me? I can pay that. I wasn't going to pay for content since there is so much free stuff, but I do like her videos and while they are pretty simple, they are great jumping off points for me to get motivated.

No, but there is someone I’ve been wanting to subscribe to for a while. I just haven’t done it because I haven’t had the time to go through all of the exclusive content/ subscriber downloads.

Just one scrapbooking one, RTS. I’ve thought about joining Nicole’s, too but I might just buy some of her digital embellishments to support her. The other one that I’ve considered is Jessica Grace, I like her organizational videos. On hers, I think you can choose how much you want to pay. I like the flexibility but I’m not sure how much to give. I try to support you tubers by using their links, liking, commenting and subscribing.
One scrapbooker started a patreon and almost every other word on her you tube channel was about patroon. No thank you. Mention it once in the beginning, once at the end and post the link. A lot more than that is just pushy.

I did for awhile - Victoria Marie and NOT Another Cooking Show. I paid a premium for NACS and he hardly ever had any new patreon only videos like he promised. And I wasnt getting anything out of paying for VM that I wasnt getting for free on YT from her or others.

I have 6 Patreon subscriptions, the most expensive tier is $15/month. I support Inkie Quill and Victoria Marie in the scrapbooking world, AJJ (one of my favorite bands), La Papierre (stationery subscription for penpallers), Carla Lalli Music (chef, she used to work for Bon Appetit), and Danielle Corsetto, a cartoonist/comic author. I get tons of inspiration, materials, and lessons from the scrapbookers, access to a special Discord server, merch discounts, and ticket presales for AJJ, and fun videos/interesting recipes from Carla. Danielle I've followed since she was doing the webcomic Girls With Slingshots, so supporting her with $5/mo allows me to keep up with her new comic as well as other art related projects she does.

There are two junk journal/artists that I follow on Patreon- JennieMaeJune and FebruaryandJune. They offer videos, digital printables and journal with me as perks. Both have small followings but I love what they do and want to support them as artists and creatives. I also subscribe to Cat Collage Club for the digital printables. I think the most I pay is $10/month for each.

Just one a podcast that is a spin off of a 30+yr local morning radio show, A Cup of Tea and A Chat with Allie and Bean.
I listened to the morning show since the mid 90s. The show evolved over the years and then the week after everything shut down they fired the entire show over the phone during a pandemic. Eventually 2 of the cast started their own podcast which is similar to the radio show and all was right with the world. It was truly a huge comfort to hear their voices again.
We were paying $3/month but I think we are at the $5 tier now. They do three 1 hour shows a week plus more the for higher level. Being that they are professional broadcasters and one is in two radio type of hall of fames. It is well worth the cost.
DH and my oldest also listens.

Funny to read this question as I just got off a monthly Zoom for a music artist I support (Tyler Hilton) via Patreon. I do the tier that does a monthly coffee via Zoom with me and up to 5 other fans, plus Tyler. He also does a monthly live show via Crowdcast that any Patreon patron can join. It's a great way to hear great music on my couch! LOL He has chosen not to tour since the pandemic slowed and artists started touring, because they had just had a child and his wife is immunocompromised and her writing/directing career took off during the pandemic. We've all become friends.

So if you subscribe you are also helping out their income. I don't follow any that I feel the need to access the patreon content smallbusiness.chron.com/enable-monetization-youtube-account-71120.html

There are two newsletters I subscribe to via Substack (at $5/each), so I voted Oprah. No subscriptions on Patreon at this point. I should have said any monthly subscription payment, just seems to be Patreon is the most popular. True, they wouldn't be able to keep putting out the free content if they weren't getting paid somehow.

Just one. I love music reaction videos and this one does a full album and three extra songs a month. I enjoy these guys particularly and it's just 1 dollar a month.

I'm in a book group on FB, where we're divided into teams every month, we have 15 prompts to read books for, we play games -- scavenger hunts, word games, etc. -- we have a Messenger team chat... it's a lot of fun, and it encourages me to read other things besides mysteries all the time. haha I pay $4.00/month to be a patreon (and they also have a $2/month option). For that $4.00 I get perks like I can use one book for two prompts (very helpful for those pesky ones that even my team can't get me to read, like fantasy romance ), we can read one book with fewer than 150 pages (rule is books must be 150 pages), we can read two graphic novels or two poetry or one of each (rule is only one). We also can help choose the next month's prompts, and we get earlier access to them. Basically silly little perks but they use the money to randomly choose two people every month who receive fun prizes. I do it because it might help the organizers and encourage them, because they put a heck of a lot of work into running this group.

I belong to one that follows a podcast I like. But I find the whole thing really frustrating. I'm sure there are a lot more I'd like and I'd be willing to pay for but there really isn't a good way to search.
