I would try Certain-Dri or another one of the excessive perspiration brands on your hairline. It goes on at night and it doesn't leave any residue like regular deodorant. So hopefully the next day the problem would be reduced. I used Certain-Dri regularly for some time (several years ago) and now I very rarely sweat under my arms. It's like it permanently fixed the problem and I no longer have to use it. I still sweat in plenty of other places though .

yes I sweat more than the average. So does my mom. I also get bit by mosquitos way more than the average. I could have 10 bites and the person next to me have none. Very strange and always wondered if it was related. The mosquito thing is sort of related. I read somewhere that Mosquitos are attracted to those with smelly sweat glands. Key word is smelly. I also sweat a lot, and my sweat smells really bad, and I get bit a lot by Mosquitos. If you sweat a lot, but your sweat isn't strong-smelling, then you are not a mosquito target.

Unfortunately, I sweat excessively, too. In researching ways to lessen it, I found out that magnesium levels might play a role in how much a person sweats. Also, I found out that oral mag supplements often aren't enough and that magnesium oil applied topically is absorbed better. I bought some magnesium oil spray from Amazon and use it daily. The spray does sting a bit for the first few applications, but it goes away after a couple of uses. I also started using this Milk of Magnesia deodorant.I'm telling you, it's made an amazing difference. I do reapply the deodorant mid-afternoon sometimes. But I'm really pleased with the difference the magnesium has made. I don't know how if it would affect head sweating or other places on the body, but it's been wonderful for my underarms.

Add me to the list. Every day after we are done walking, my friend looks like she just got ready for a night out and I look like I dunked my upper half in a pool.
I hate it!

I have been hot and sweaty my entire life! I hate the heat SO much. I had to move away from Tennessee because the heat put me into non-function mode. Then, a few months ago I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and everything made sense. So, here I am in menopause and hot flashes don't even phase me. Could there be another problem going on?

Since I've been born! I dread when will happen when I hit menopause. I use Men's antiperspirant because I have tried everything made for women and NON of it works! I sweat on my foreheard also. When it's humid out, I look like I went for a dip in the river. Wish that were true. Mosquitos love me. I friend of mine had me try that Off gadget that you clip on yourself. So I clipped it onto the front of my shirt like she did. Okay no mosquitos on my my face however they went to the back of my head and started on my ears and neck! So bascially I joked I needed one on the back also, and one on each shoulder and I should be good to go!

Ok, stupid question... what's the difference between antiperspirant vs. deodorant products? I have only looked at the percentage of Aluminum Ox percentage and interestingly Men's products seem to contain more "effectiveness" than women. So why not buy men's products?

I'm always the one who gets bitten, especially during the night, and I do sweat a lot, especially during the night, but I don't think my sweat is strong-smelling. Maybe there's something I don't know, lol!

At least I know I'm not alone. I've heard about Botox injections around the hairline, but I can't afford them and I doubt insurance will cover it. I might even resort to putting deodorant on my hairline, but I'm sure that would not be good for my skin and would guck up my hair. I feel so gross! I had botox injections in my armpits. Yes, it hurt!!! It worked really well for awhile, but I had to jump through hoops to prove to the military (tricare) that I needed it. So, I haven't had it lately. Honestly, maybe mine was a bit hormonal, I haven't been as bad in the last couple years. ETA: It lasted a couple of years, but let me add that I moved to the desert, and that may have helped. I was in the Newport News area back when I was seriously sweating. Like soaking my pits of shirts. It was really embarrassing for me. Then we moved to El Paso 3 years ago...and the sweating has really pretty much stopped since then (unless I am working out) so maybe climate helped?

There is a prescription antiperspirant that your doctor can prescribe. It is very close to OTC Certin-Dry. You apply it at night and it can take a few days to start working, but once it does the sweating will be gone. The prescription is not expensive if I remember correctly it was about $15/bottle and a bottle last a few months. It is worth asking your doctor about. Too bad I can't put it on my head.

I've always been that way, and hate it. It makes me despise exercising where anyone might see me. Yesterday, we went on a tour of a golf course and by the end it looked like I'd peed myself from how much I'd sweated between my legs. Lovely...

Deodorant is made to cover up smells. Antiperspirant does just what it says. Best product to use is antiperspirant deodorant combined. Add me to the list of heavy sweaters. Mine is mainly on my head. In summer I can have rivers running down my face. Not a pretty sight!

I'm not a huge sweater, but I "stress sweat" and it STINKS! I started using Secret clinical strength antipersperant/deodorant and it's awesome. I seriously never stink anymore. My husband used it once and he even said it works really works!

Ugghhh it's gotten so much worse in the last few years. My main problem is my inner thighs and down my back, for some reason. I'd get stressed at work with adrenaline flowing (kind of hard to avoid, being a cardiac nurse) and the sweat would just be running down my back and making my crotch a swamp, Lolol. So disgusting. I started applying deodorant to my inner thighs on days I had to work and using a little absorbent powder every so often and it dramatically improved the problem.

My face sweats more than any other part of my body. The rest of me can be bone dry and cool but my face will be dripping, like soak a paper towel dripping. Anyone know of anything to help that?? I don't want to put antiperspirant on my face, but I've been tempted a time or two. Putting make-up on is a waste of time.

Yes! It's especially embarrassing during baseball season. I try to keep my hair pulled up off my neck (which looks ridiculous too because it not long in the first place. If we go to a tournament I always have a wet towel to keep on my neck because my neck being kept cool really seems to be the answer for me.
