Thanks for the reminder! I chose The Brighter the Light.
Side note: Last month my first read was The Secret Life of Meena Dave. I absolutely loved it and was so sad when it was over. Not the type of book I typically read, but it was so enjoyable.

Thanks! I always wait a bit for some reviews to trickle in, then choose a book which I may or may not read because I have a problem with too many books!

Thanks for the reminder! I'm trying to decide between The Brighter the Light and The Gracious Neighbor. I'll come back and edit when I choose one.
ETA - I chose The Brighter the Light, because of the setting in Nags Head! I will put The Gracious Neighbor on my library list when it's published.

Not the type of book I typically read, but it was so enjoyable. I went to look it up and could only find The Candid Life of Meena Dave on Amazon, was it that one?

I also chose The Brighter the Light and will probably get to it over the summer sometime. I just finished Half in Shadow and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. If this was your choice last month (or maybe the month before), definitely put it on deck! Happy reading.

Thanks for posting dewryce 😊 I haven’t decided yet - maybe This Way Out or Blackout. Question for the US peas - do you get books set in England/UK? I’m wondering why we are often offered books based in the US or written by American authors. It’s not a problem as such but different spellings, different words for things, talk of places I don’t know etc etc distract me while I’m reading and I wonder why it’s necessary or why it happens.

I chose Blackout. Question for the US peas - do you get books set in England/UK? I love books from the UK...that's my favourite setting for stories, and even better if it's Ireland, yet I've never been to the UK. Same goes for TV shows. I'd be very upset if we only got offered books set in Australia (I'll admit to some cultural cringe when it comes to Australian literature) I think reading books from all over the world is part of the joy of reading, you get to travel without leaving your house.

Not the type of book I typically read, but it was so enjoyable. I also read the Candid life of Meena Davis and really enjoyed it. I think I’m going to go for Blackout.

Thank you so much for the links! I chose Bookends, the memoir.
And @gar I LOVE books set in the UK. And Australia. As a kid I just wallowed in all those classic British children's books and it turned me into the Anglophile I am today!
Also I was thinking of you yesterday because I think you were one of the Peas who sent me some magazines and memorabilia when the Queen celebrated, I guess it must have been the 60th jubilee? I think @dottyscrapper was the other Pea. I still have all that stuff! 😊

Does anybody have any reviews for any of the books? I'm waffling between 3.
