I had Covid in May - mild/moderate symptoms. Fatigue lasted a bit longer than other symptoms and pops up again now and then.
Starting this week, I’ve noticed numbness and tingling on the right side of my body. I don’t have any weakness or difficulty moving on that side. Certain patches of skin on my right leg, arm, and torso are oddly numb. The best description I can give is the numbness you get around an incision after surgery.
When I rub or scratch the numb areas, sometimes they tingle as if sensation is returning, but it doesn’t last.
Has anyone had this happen? I have my annual physical scheduled this coming Monday so I will ask my doctor about it then, but would love to hear any similar stories.

I haven’t had that exactly, but I have had tingling in my legs and now hands. If I run my fingers over my lower leg it tingles in another part of my leg. I haven’t thought of it as being related to Covid but now I’m wondering if it did start after that or before.

Ugh I’m sorry. I didn’t deal with that but I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s where it came from. I hope you’re feeling back to normal soon.
My post Covid issues (a variety of head aches & pains and chronic fatigue) began about the same timeframe. I had Covid in Dec and symptoms started in February.

Covid Dysautonomia is a thing and neuropathy is part of Dysautonomia.
Definitely talk to your PCP about it.
Cardiology and Neurology can do work up.

I had something kind of similar, but it was in my scalp and face. Both would kind of tingle (not really numb), especially when I was washing or rubbing my face and hair. It felt like a nerve issue, but I could never get buy-in on that from my neurologist.
Those symptoms went away 6-9 months after Covid (I had OG Covid in Dec 2020). Other symptoms lasted a full 15 months, but are now 85% resolved.
I hope your symptoms resolve soon and it’s nothing serious. It has been a very frustrating process with few answers besides “we just don’t know what Covid does.”

My boyfriend had this same problem after he had Covid which he had pre-vaccine. He did bring it up to his PCP a couple of times and he claimed it was definitely an after effect of Covid. His numbness was mainly the front of his thigh on one leg.

Unfortunately, there are many COVID after effects. My vaxxed 17 y/o niece had a mild case of COVID in December and seemed to recover well. But she started experiencing abdominal pain, brain fog, fatigue, vision changes and dizziness. She was seen by a pediatric cardiologist who told her (and her very worried parents) that she was definitely experiencing post-COVID symptoms. He has seen all of these symptoms in many of his young patients, and he assured them that her condition should resolve in 8-10 months post infection. She is doing better now. I think there is a lot that we still don’t know.
