First marriage = car in garage every night, no problem.
Current marriage: DH wants everything in the world in the garage except the car! Finally several years ago, I demanded a space for my car. So, my car is in the garage every night, and his side of the garage has so much crap that a fly could not land over there. FWIW we have an attic which is above his side of the garage, the "disappearing stairs" are always in the down position and we put stuff in the attic as well.
Do you use your garage (assuming you have one) for a vehicle or just storage?

We have a one car garage in a cold weather state. In the colder months, my car is in the garage. In the warmer months, it is not.

We have a small two-car garage. If our cars don't fit in it, something else has to go. I live in Illinois and have to be up and on the way to work at 6AM; I'm not spending time in my day brushing and scraping my car.
Cars go in the garage, other stuff goes in the garage if it fits, anything else goes to recycle/scrap/trash.

Nope. Have, technically, a single car garage. Detached from the house. Old owner used it for a workshop. I’d love to tear it down (before it falls down) but it stores my snowblower.

Absolutely our cars are parked in the garage. Our garage is also heated. We built the garage big enough for vehicles and the needed storage (bikes, yard equipment, etc.).

Yes, two boat sized 1970s cars. In nine years, I have yet to get to park one in there. DH and his stuff...
Our old house had a "modern day" one car garage, and you could park in there if, you drove a Mini Cooper, or you didn't need to open the car doors... the driveway was also angled slightly, so backing out would not be in a straight line, so no, we never parked in there either.

A thread here a while ago was the first time I saw people mention that their garage was for storage, not cars. Some people never put their cars in their garage!
In my old neighborhood, only third cars were ever in driveways if our kids had cars.
ETA - I should have said in our culdesac. I guess I don’t know the car situations on other streets.
I would hate to not have my car in a garage. My poor daughter had a car with black leather seats and it sat in the driveway in the summer and was torture to get into.

I was so surprised when I found out that so many US Peas don't put their cars in their garages. I have a two car garage, and we have two cars in it. We also have pallet racking in the garage, and a fridge, and shelving and cupboards.

2 car garage. My vehicle is in there. It's also where the washing machine and dryer are in a side cove and then other items. It's organized and out together.

Single with one car and a two car garage. Car is in garage. Previous owner is a cabinet maker and installed shelves on one long side and one short side so lots of storage space which is taken up by Christmas decorations and 4 tack trunks.

We live in MI. For almost 20 years we lived in a very small house with a one car detached garage. We used it for storage for dh's tools (needed for work) and lawn mower etc. Never got to park in it and spent years digging our cars out of the dang snow/ice etc every morning at 6:00 am. I hated it. Hated getting into an ice box car in winter mornings after spending time chipping off ice etc.
Now we have a house with a two car garage. Still have the tools but now I at least can park in the garage. And it's freaking awesome. I told dh when we moved in, he could do whatever he wanted with half of it, but my car will always be in the other half. I refuse to park anywhere else now. I've paid my dues and now I get into my car on the mornings I work in the office and just take off and go.
ETA dh would like to park in the garage but he doesn't care too much. He could do it if he just got rid of a little bit of stuff. DD 22 complains occasionally that she can't. We just laugh at her. When you have your own house and pay all the bills, you can too can park in a garage. For now, suck it up buttercup!

Cars would fit in our garage, but its used for DH side hustle. We park on the driveway.
We live in the south so snow and ice are rare. I imagine it would be better for the paint to be in the garage rather than in the sun but alas.

I’d go crazy if I couldn’t park in the garage, especially in the winter.

We don't have a garage so I can't answer about that. But I have a funny story about garages... We just got new neighbors across the street from me. The previous family had three young children with all that goes along with kids. Their garage was packed and not with their car. lol. That always lived in the driveway so for two years we all got used to seeing it there. Well they have relocated overseas for three years (Foreign Service) and the renters have moved in. The day they moved in there was the moving van, and their car. When the moving van left their car was in the driveway for a little bit, then it disappeared. I didn't see it for a few days and I wondered if they'd moved in and then immediately left for vacation or something. Until one morning I saw the garage door opening and the car drove out, garage door closed, and off they went. hahahaha Turns out they're actually using the garage for the car. Who knew?

We have a 3 car detached garage, circa 1950s. Initially we did not because my Expedition did not fit (too long), so it ended up being storage. About 10 years ago we got ruthless and cleared out a ton of stuff and now park inside the garage every night. There has been too much crime in the past few years regarding cars. DH had the exterior mirror housings stolen off a one week old car, which is what prompted the change for us.

We have a standard 2-car garage--workbench and shelves on one side, some cabinets and shelves and refrigerator/freezer on other side, washer/dryer & water heater on other side. Lots of storage used and available in there--we've been decluttering, so right now have 2 large cabinets empty in there. I have always parked in the garage, our other auto has always been a truck that is too big to park inside.

My car is always parked in the garage at home. I also park in a garage at work. I’m in Texas. It’s too hot to park in the sun.

We have a two car garage with both cars in it. Disappearing stairs to attic are always in the up position, unless access is needed. At that time, we will pull out the car to access it.

3 car garage, we have two cars and they go inside the garage. 3rd bay is for storage and gym stuff. When the boys were home they parked outside. The 3rd bay is actually a bit too tight for a car because we have cabinets on the wall.
There are a few communities the area where you cannot park in the driveway. You must park inside the garage, exception is if your vehicle is too long. Thankfully ours is not like that.

Both cars always in garage. We have a two car garage with a 3rd bay DH uses for lawn mower, other lawn care items, snowblower, shelves with his tools, etc plus our bicycles. When we lived in D/FW TX we had a two car garage. After my mom died we put a bunch of boxes in half the garage to sort through. Of course, before we could get to it, a storm went through with golf ball size hail. My DH jumped in his Durango and drove around trying to find someplace under cover to park. I think he found a bank drive thru. The car was still pretty damaged with huge golf ball size dents. We never did get it fixed. However, DH did say “never again” when it comes to not parking in the garage!
Which reminds me, we had a derecho go through here a couple of months ago with lots of tree and house damage with flying debris. Our neighbor’s cute little vintage convertible sports car was parked outside and got dented and scratched up. They are having a really hard time getting any replacement parts because it’s so old.

Old house we had a 2.5 car garage and both cars got parked outside. We now have a 2 car attached garage but the doorway is too small for both vehicles to fit (van and suv). My van gets the garage and DH parks outside. All of DS’s stuff (bike, scooter, etc), a refrigerator, and basic gardening supplies also live in there. Dh had a second garage built out back not long after we moved in to house his crap, I mean workshop. There have been discussions about adding on to the attached garage.

Always park in the garage, would be a non-starter to buy a house without a garage.

Three car garage and three cars park in the garage. The third bay is extra large and dh has his tool bench and tools in there. We have a small shed in the back yard that holds the lawn mower and other yard equipment, patio cushions in the off season, etc.
We get so much rain here, if you park your car outside you are likely to have moss/mold start growing on you car.

We have a two car garage and put two cars in it every day. We also have bikes, sports stuff, etc in there but make it work. We do have one car that has to sit in the driveway but At least it doesn’t look like a junkyard or a parking lot like some people’s driveways.

We park our cars in our attached two stall garage. We would spend a ridiculous amount of time clearing snow off cars if we didn't. We have an additional garage behind our house that stores things like our lawn mower, bikes, etc.

Technically we have an 6-8 car garage, one side has a car lift and is heated and a/c though, so room is taken up. The other side always has our 2 cars parked in it. We’re blessed in this house with plenty of storage space, but we’ve definitely lived in other areas of the world that the garage was storage space
