Hi everyone! I'm waiting for dd#2 to get here in about half an hour so that we can drive out to my mum's place together (use my gas) ... the three of us will go for breakfast and dd will do a few chores around Grandma's place ... I haven't heard from ex yet today to know if he is coming over ... it matters not This is what I posted on Facebook today ... I use a delivery service from time to time to bring me a double order of pork dumplings from my fav Chinese place ... I do not order from anywhere else because there is no reason for me to since I have a car My dd's and their friends order from everywhere all the time! My girlfriend and I are going to my fav restaurant tonight for dinner ... I have a bunch of new clothes that I have bought because of my weight loss and wanted somewhere to wear a cute sundress I made a steak dinner for my young "friend" last night (he's Indian and shouldn't eat beef but loves it!) and it was soooo good! I think I'll order a steak tonight ... all this red meat should help my anemia! What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Have a relaxing Sunday everybody!

I slept poorly last night and have been up since 4:00. I’m guessing I’ll be taking a nap at some point today. Nothing planned except finishing my laundry. I’ve been sitting outside reading. Our weather has been beautiful this weekend.
DS and I will be alone for dinner again so I suggested shrimp. It’s something dd and dgd don’t care for. I’m thinking of scampi but we’ll see when the time comes.

You enjoy your cute sundress and dinner out!
I'm trying to think of what I can do today to really get enjoyment out of my day. I know work is going to be a shit show this week and I'm going to work so hard I might take Friday off because I feel like I am going to need some time to recover from it.
I tried to scrapbook yesterday but that was hard. I did two pages about my trip to Gulf shores. But now I'm up to Esther's death in my project life album and I'm just not ready for that. Maybe I will scrapbook our landscaping project. I have pictures in all the stages. So that might be an option.
I checked my Facebook memories this morning and last year on this day I had some brisket nachos from Meat! A BBQ restaurant we love. Jeremy was like, hey let's do that again. So that's what we will be having.

We have had a nice, relaxing Sunday. DH walked up to the bakery this morning to get pastries for breakfast, then we went to church. After church, lunch, then DH went to work to prepare for the week and I went for a walk. Now it is football on TV - the final of the Women’s European championship is in about half an hour, and Germany is playing England, so it should be a great game.
Dinner tonight is pork fillet on the grill. I am not sure what DH plans to do with the pork, or what we are eating with it.

Good morning. leannec, enjoy your steak. Yummy. jeremysgirl, scrapping your landscaping is a great idea. Put away the other stuff and scrap something that makes you happy. KelleeM, how is your bil? How is karenlou? I'm thinking of all of you. Apart from grocery pickup, today will be about rest, working on my puzzle and helping ds. I made chicken tortilla soup yesterday and I have no idea what to make tonight. The guys will help me come up w/an idea. Happy, relaxing day, my lovelies.

Hi Everyone, leannec I hope that you have a great day helping your Mum with your DD. And have fun wearing your sundress with your friend at dinner. KelleeM I understand sleeping poorly and I hope you get back on schedule soon. jeremysgirl I understand about the scrapbooking. It’s been 12 years and I still can’t scrapbook my sister. I cry every time I start. cadoodlebug That is wild of the date on the meme. ntsf It sounds like you have a good day planned. sueg The Womens football game sounds like it is going to be exciting. scrapmaven Enjoy your puzzle time and helping your DS. I finally got my sleep schedule back on track with a couple of extra hours that were needed. I feel awake and ready to get on with the day. Today I am doing laundry, vacuuming, dishes and I may do my nails. Dinner last night was steaks, sweet potato tator tots and onions. It may be a similar dinner tonight.

jeremysgirl was kind enough to post a picture of my whoodle (soft coated Wheaten terrier and standard poodle). He likes to chew me best of all. He is learning how to be potty trained and he loves his crate. He does chew on me a lot but we both adore him. In this picture he is 9 weeks old. His name is Dexter the Whoodle Morgan.

Remember this from yesterday: We had a busy morning, first we walked then went shopping for a new mat for under DH's chair in his office. I started sitting on the office chairs just goofing off and then sat in one that was like being enveloped by a cloud. DH sat in it and agreed so he bought it for ME! Can't wait until he puts it together.
Well, DH put it together, I sat on it and thought WTF. It did not feel the same. I was crushed. I went online to read some reviews and a lot of people said the same thing: the chair in the store was way more comfortable than the one they brought home. Long story short, DH called the store this morning and talked them into letting us trade for the floor model. We think they changed suppliers and the new chair is really inferior.

I bought a white Christmas tree under similar circumstances ... I didn't want the last squished up boxed one ... I wanted the beautiful fluffy one they had hanging UPSIDE DOWN from the ceiling ... I got my way Yay that your dh is like me!!!

I am attempting slow cook a pork roast on the charcoal grill. I have no idea if it will work or not, buy I'm trying. Ods and his gf are joining yds and me.
I've already been hiking this morning and I will be cleaning this afternoon until they come over.
I think I'd like to start a blog type thing (mainly just for me) about the different trails and paths I have tried and will try around the area.

karenlou’s dh is spending another night at MGH. I know it’s been hard for her. He’s in a lot of pain but she sent me a picture and he looks like his normal self😊. I am fine, just concerned about my sister. I know she just wants her dh home where he can recover in comfort.

I've been reading the posts but often don't read until late in the evening so I don't post anything.
Yesterday DH and I went on a 27 km bike ride on a rail trail. It's the ideal place to ride because we don't have to worry about traffic. It was a gorgeous day to ride.
We had a visit with MIL this morning and she is failing fast. She is having a difficult time breathing and uses oxygen for a good part of the day. She was very frustrated that she has declined so much in only a couple of weeks. Later this week, MIL, DH, SIL and I are getting together to discuss her wishes regarding funeral, possessions, etc. Won't be an easy discussion but we want to do what she wants without any guesswork.
Got to see my grandbabies today at the beach. They love the water and had so much fun.

Wow, another month gone. I can't believe how fast these months are going.
Just got off work and it's another hot day. I was going to pick up some dinner but decided to just come home.
For dinner I am making nachos for my hubby and a big mac salad for myself.

Delta Dawn Dexter is adorable! Looking forward to hearing more about him and seeing more pictures! jeremysgirl can you skip a few weeks or months in your PL - like start with a week ago even- and go back and fill ins missing weeks when/if it feel right? Or never is fine, too. ❤️ taylortroop grand babies + beach sounds like heaven! destined2bmom glad you got some sleep! I’ve never heard of sweet potato tator tots!!! I don’t care for sweet potato fries but I can take or leave regular fries. I LOVE tots so that could be a game changer. I had to get up at 5:45 on a Sunday to shower and get ready for an appointment we had. At 7:30 am in another town to finalize windows. Ouch. But it was fun and we finalized a couple exterior doors as well. And then had lunch at a fun new place outside because it’s beautiful out. Then I came home and had a nap. one of my dogs, Chloe, is still napping next to me. She’s always up for a nap with anyone. I think we will do leftovers again tonight.

Dexter is adorable, Delta Dawn ! Sorry it sounds like your DS had a more than mild case of Covid, Marina . And sorry to hear your BIL is spending another night in hospital, KelleeM . I can't imagine being ready anytime soon to document/PL around Esther's death, jeremysgirl . I second paget 's suggestion to skip forward. Maybe a few post-its with notes as you think of things you want to include/remember, but working on current weeks doesn't mean you won't go back. paget and teddyw , I'm a little envious of your construction projects. We've never built from scratch, and TBH, I'm really reluctant to do that with DH. He is such a cheapo, DYI guy, I picture myself living in a tool shed while he slowly pours the foundation using a wheelbarrow to mix the bags of concrete he bought from Home Depot. freecharlie, I started a second IG account to track my walks. I can take screenshots of my FitBit and up to 10 photos a post. It is fast, easy and private. We are going for dinner and a movie tonight. Sushi and Nope.
