Update: she has been found! The power of the peas lives on!! genealopea did some magic and we now have a full name and location.
So, my husband found out he had a younger sister a few years ago when she contacted him through ancestry.com. He found out a few months ago that he also has a younger brother. Both of these siblings were given up for adoption at birth. He knows his mother had another daughter when he was a teenager but never met the little girl and did not know what happened to her. Turns out his mom had her parental rights taken away when the girl was 4 or 5 and she ended up getting adopted. Closed adoption and no more info on that.
My husband, the brother he grew up with and the 2 siblings that found them are all meeting up in Vegas this weekend for the very first time. They paid a lawyer to search for the youngest sibling, with some level of success but ultimately a dead end.
The lawyer found the adoptive parents and called them. The mom says she lost contact with the daughter about 10 years ago when she dropped out of college and ? We don’t know the whole story. Adoptive parents tried to find her and eventually found her in a shelter but she said she wanted no further contact with them and they no longer are trying to find her.
Our lawyer was able to find a current FB page for this girl (today’s her 29th birthday), but legally cannot tell us her last name (the adoption records were sealed and the mother specifically does not want to speak with us, even though she told our lawyer it would probably be a good thing if we were able to find the sister).
I have a first name and a FB profile picture screenshot. I know FB gives everyone different search results when you search for people based on geography, etc and I’m wondering if people might be willing to search her first name and see if they come across her FB profile pic.
Is this too invasive/too much info to post publicly? I can only share the profile pic and name with anyone who is willing to do a quick FB search. We have no other info on where she lives, just a birthday, first name and picture. Please PM if you’re interested in doing a quick FB search
