Funny, but really disturbing that some people are that ignorant. I have gotten this question so many times. Itβs so rude that they donβt even think itβs rude. A good comeback is what she did, keep asking where his family is from. If you really want to know, ask what ethnicity he/she is. Iβm sure most people are happy to tell you rather than you keep asking them where are they from. So frustrating!

I think I have shared this here before but it is worth repeating. I moved to America as a child with an American father and an Aussie mum.
I get to Texas after a few years living in US and one of the first things I am told is that I speak really good English for a foreigner and ask me how long did it take me to learn English??!!!
