Just curious...if we send something and don't sign a note or anything doesn't the recipient see who sent it? I mean, doesn't it have our name as the shipper?

elaine I want to know where you found the planet banner that is hanging in your window. My 2 year old granddaughter can name all the planets and identify them. I'd like to get those for her playroom wall!
I received some desk pets, but don't know who they were from. Thank you to whoever sent them!
I gave the pets to my students today and they were SO excited. They will use PBIS points to "purchase" food, tools, sports equipment, and blankets to add to their pets' homes. I'd love to let them purchase a second pet, but I don't have enough for everyone to be able to do that.

Sometimes there is a slip in the package and sometimes there isn't. There is no identifying info on the order (it doesn't even show in our order history) so if the slip is missing, there's no way to know. The shipper is listed as Amazon. I had a book delivered last year that was missing a cover. It took 20 minutes on chat with Amazon for them to agree to exchange it because I didn't have an order number and it couldn't be found in my order history. It probably would have been easier with a slip, but that box didn't have anything.

My daughter's. She was unexpectedly approached and offered a high school teaching job in mid June and took it.She has a bachelor's degree in Hispanic studies but bis having to scramble and become certified and is enrolled for grad school. School here started August 1st so we really had to scramble to get anything ready. She's teaching Spanish 1, and 2 and honors classes as well. Let's just say it's been a wild ride. She'd p appreciate anything even if not on the list. The things listed like the games she really wants more than one set so the whole class can play during lockdowns(her biggest class is 32 students). www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/18F8G03C77JIO?ref_=wl_share

No. It is anonymous unless you fill out the gift note as far as I know. Or Even if you click gift and don't fill the gift card it has you Amazon name .. like first initial last name. You can change that to you pea name. But you can also add a note. Amazon will forward their thanks in an email listed in your account if they click on that.

I owe some Amazon thank you notes! I have been insanely busy getting ready first for open house yesterday and then school on Monday. I’ll start with thanks here. Everyone’s generosity is amazing. I truly can’t thank you all enough! ❤️❤️❤️ Thanks to monklady123 for the fraction set, to shescrafty for the Magic Treehouse set, Restless Spirit for Pete the Cat, leeny for Captain Underpants (I had a student tell me yesterday how much he LOVES Captain Underpants), J u l e e for the three Compassionate Kids books - I am so excited to use these for read alouds, and to whomever sent me Eyes that Speak to the Stars (there wasn’t a gift receipt, I’m sorry). During Open House yesterday, I had books up along the front white board that covered as many cultures as I could. I could tell that it had an impact on a few parents as they looked at the books. Thank you all for helping to make my class library awesome!

Ready for Open House tomorrow! I have a student teacher with me for the first 8 weeks and as she was helping me get my room ready she was floored at how much of the “stuff” I paid for. It really struck me too how much of my salary goes right back into my classroom. I tried to explain that I COULD teach with only district purchased items, but I buy things to make instruction and learning more effective, efficient, fun, and better looking. I am trying to stop spending so much but it sure is hard! 😢 We were talking about this today. Our department chair is cheap and never wants us spending money. She doesn’t understand that we’ll spend our own money to get useful resources and curriculum any day of the week instead going through garbage she insists on keeping because she thinks it’s useful. She doesn’t teach. She has no idea how much you have to differentiate for a special Ed classroom of students the Gen Ed teachers don’t want. I can’t take a 10 year old menu activity book, missing the menus and prices, and made a lesson with it. It would take so much time to try and recreate the missing pieces/pages that it’s not worth keeping. I just don’t have the patience for her crap this year. We actually went around her to our Sped director and order supplies, including new chairs. They came today and it was nice to actually be at desk height instead of 6 inches off the floor. Can’t wait to hear her smart ass remarks. It’ll be easier to ignore her in my comfy chair! LOL

I received new crayons for my kiddos this evening. I assume it was from and kind Pea. The delivery was so strange…
They came from Walmart to my door. 1/2 arrived and then a few hours later the other half.
Thank you to whoever blessed us!

We used to start after Labor Day (until 3 years ago) and then moved to the end of August. This year it is even one week earlier than previous years.

Question-how do I send thank yous to the kind people who have gifted? I don’t see where to do so on my account and I would like to There are packing slips that have QR codes that allow you to do so. If there wasn’t a slip with a QR code, or you accidentally threw it out, you’ll have to simply thank by item(s) here. 😀

My reading table doesn’t have any chairs the correct size and I’ve gone through 2 sets of stools I have purchased and they have broken. Yes I buy the cheap $5 ones because at 6 seats it adds up quick. I haven’t bought any new ones so I’m not sure yet what we will do! I guess stand or sit on the floor!!

Thank you for the link, elaine. I just ordered the planets for my granddaughter.
I love looking at everyone’s lists. I’ve found books, games, and many other things that I know my kiddos would benefit from.

Well that was fun. 5 of you should be getting a little something over the next week. As it turned out several are in California in areas somewhat close to me. On the way are reward stickers, headphones, a few books and my favorite a purple sweatshirt and cutting mats.
Thank you for letting us help.

revirdsuba99 Thank you so much for the finger eyeballs. I know it may seem silly, but we use them when we read. The reading voice “sees” things in the text and images to broaden our understanding. 🙂 Second graders love them!

I feel like I’m still recovering from two years of teaching kindergarten during Covid. This summer just flew by. The last two years have shown me that at least in the lower grades we really need to focus on social emotional learning and sensory needs. I would love to provide my students with appropriate hands on math activities as well as sensory activities and recess materials! K teacher in a title 1 school. Any help is greatly appreciated! www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2IH8JYY53S3IK?ref_=wl_share
