As far as I know I've only met one, rebelyelle , but she's not on here anymore. Years ago -- in fact we've just established that it was almost 12 years! -- Rebel asked this group how they would go about finding a mother's helper. She didn't want to just get some random person from Craig's List or something like that. She happened to have her specific location on the left under her avatar, and it happened to be where I live too. So I suggested my dd who was still in high school at the time. One thing led to another, as they say, and a lovely relationship started. My dd has taken care of both of her kids (one wasn't born yet when she first started as mother's helper), and they've taken dd to Disney, and this summer they took her to the beach. She goes with them as a babysitter so the adults can go out alone in the evening, but they treat her like family, and pay for everything. When the kids were eligible for covid vaccines they even drove down here (they moved to Maryland some years ago) so that they could get their vaccines at the clinic where my dd was working. Oh, and funny story... before I went to their house that first time for dd to meet them I stalked Rebel on the board so I could see what sort of person she is. When I confessed that to her later she said "Oh don't worry, I did the same with you!" hahahaha

How awesome! I’ve been privileged to meet leftturnonly , Carblover and @bergdorfblonde . I had a wonderful visit with each of them. Don’t forget me and my son! 🥰 I’ve met up with at least 20 peas over the years, from all over. Jen was the most recent. One of the first big meetups was a crop we held in Northern VA, probably at least 15 years ago, in the back room of a scrapbook store. StephDRebel and I made them roll a t.v. into the cropping room so we could watch the Michigan/Ohio State game. I had a wonderful experience doing a meal prep place with Lanus back then too. I met up with Jodi - a conservative pea who stopped posting before anyone entertained the thought of Trump for President - in Leesburg for lunch. We had a large lunch in Annapolis years ago (10+) with a group that included peas like Tina FB, Yaki scapper, Baybunny, Annabanana, and others that I can't remember.

Yes, lucyg and I went to a stamping/paper store that was local to me (then) just south of Seattle. It was far too short a visit. There was a Pea whose screen name was boomchickapow (?) who lived very near me (then) and we met for coffee. I lost track of her and felt bad because I thought she may have thought I didn't like her, which wasn't the case at all. DH and I met up with kamper last summer when they came through where we were volunteering with the NPS in Wisconsin, and we had a nice hike together. I've spoken with leftturnonly on the phone, but our plans to meet never worked out, unfortunately.

Many years ago there was a group here called the Fibropeas. We all had fibromyalgia. I met Liz, Sue and Sandy from the group. I’m still friends with them and we talk often. Everyone has moved on but I know I can ask them for anything and they would do what they could and same for me for them.

I've met about a dozen wonderful peas and some have become good friends. A group of us used to have GNOs but life and kids took us in different directions ...facebook keeps us connected. Several of us roomed together and attended the first official 2peas crop in Madison. Unfortunately I don't remember all their board names - Chickpea, Sherrie_N, *Luanne*, Angelag, Wendylee, Mapchic, Kayfril, MrsP, Stephanie Smokovich (created Bella Blvd) and others. I was supposed to drive up there for that crop with CairaJade and mapchic but I ended up not going. I wish I had.

I met a few at a CKC in Portland, most were from Seattle but they came down here. Two I really liked were twins, but they moved over to the other board and I lost track of them. Also, the infamous Bernadette was at the gathering, this was right before all the HOF scandal went down. I am horrid with names, so I have no idea what their names were other then Bernadette. I must have met some at the Anaheim CKU I went to, but again I am terrible with names and also painfully shy when meeting grownups so I am not one anyone would remember.

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting AussieMeg when I visited with DD in Melbourne. She was so kind to tour us around for the day, and then we spent hours chatting and floating at the beach I literally felt like we were old friends catching up after a long time apart. Kind of funny that I went half way around the world to meet my first Pea! Now she has to get herself to Canada so I can return the favour!

I love these stories! It is not an exaggeration to say that some of my closest friends I met on Two Peas. I have a group of 6 peas who I've been friends with for almost 2 decades now - I met them on the Pub back in the day. We've talked every single day for at least the last 15 years. Our families visit when we're traveling near each other and I consider them my tribe. It's to the point where I've now made friends with some of those peas' friends IRL who have also become part of my regular life. I have another wonderful group of pea friends, formed from NSBR and I've met many of them in person more than once and even vacationed with some of them a few times and a small group of us even share a tattoo, lol! I finally met lucyg this spring, with my daughter, who promptly decided that Lucy is one of her favorite people in the world (she said the same thing about mirabelleswalker but I don't think she's on the new board much.) I've met some other peas at crops or on college tours and universally, in person they have all been wonderful women. I'm not going to try to name them because there are too many and I also can't remember who transitioned to the new board and who didn't. One of my favorite IRL pea connections though is from a tragedy. I met and became friends with Julie ( Regina Phalange ) on the original board. She lived locally to me so we became friends IRL. I went to her baby shower and met her family for the first time. When she became ill and then died, her husband reached out to me and through him, I met more of her extended family at the hospital, the funeral and at later family events. I've stayed in touch with her husband and her brother & I text often and I love that continued connection. All of which is to say - online connections can become real friendships. I have met dozens of peas and every single one of them has been a good hearted person. Don't be afraid to make those connections in real life when the opportunity presents itself! ETA: DH asked what I'm typing about so furiously and I responded that someone asked if you've met peas in real life. He said "You've met all of the peas. Every one of them."

I have never met a Pea, but Lucy connected me to a friend of hers at the law school where I visited last year, and, during COVID, I picked up a Lego set from outside Lauren's door (she and I live in the same neighborhood--hopefully at some point we can meet for coffee).

I think she lived very close to me and we messaged a few times. I was sad to hear that she passed away wasn't her baby just a few months old? She was very sweet.
That's so nice that you are still so close to those you met on the Pub. I really enjoyed that board and participated in the morning thread around 2008. I never "knew" them outside of the board and always wonder what they are up to. I don't think the ones I remember are on the new board (boatmommy (stella)?, dnksmommy, enjoyscrappin (Joy), also HeatherAnn Melzer, etc. There were also a couple that talked about going to a very large scrapbook store in our area (st_angel?), and it would have been fun to meet others at a scrapbook store!

I've met many peas over the years and am still friends with several of them. Most of them aren't active on this board though, if they even made it over. And then some (coughcough auntkelly coughcough) up and move away so I never get to see her now! Glad y’all had a good time, I love pea support! I got to meet lots of Texas peas when I attended Kaitlyn’s Promise Crop, even stayed with one since it was out of town. Do you remember the year you went? I went for several years and now I'm wondering if we ever met? I've met **GypsyGirl** and she was just delightful. She has the most beautiful eyes. I met another pea and she's become a very good friend. We are a big group of very close strangers. Thank you! You are too sweet! It was so much fun meeting up with you. I'm hoping that you make a return visit to the area soon!

I’ve gotten to meet several Peas over the years at Kaitlyn’s Crop and other Houston meetups. **GypsyGirl** and I have gotten to be good friends. The first time I met her was when we shared a table at Kaitlyn’s Crop. I was planning a trip to Paris w/ my family and she was in the process of moving there. We had planned to meet for coffee in Paris. However, when I got to Paris and she learned that I’d be missing a side trip to Versailles w/ my family, she insisted we cancel our meet up. She said I must go to Versailles instead. As much as I enjoy being with **GypsyGirl**, I’m glad she insisted we cancel our meet up in Paris!

Do you remember the year you went? I went for several years and now I'm wondering if we ever met I don’t remember. I stayed with another pea (April ~ Kevin’s Angel) and she taught a class. That’s all the detail I remember. Oh! But it was prior to 2006. But I’m curious so I’m going to check out my old calendars.

Hello everyone! I am so sorry I have been absent— it has been a whirlwind this week trying to get my room ready and ready for the kids. I absolutely LOVED meeting flanz. She brought me boxes full of supplies and dinner—complete with placemats and plates. Cute and delicious! And she was climbing up on stools putting up bulletin board paper like she was a PRO! I am a shortie an couldn’t have done it alone. I can’t wait to meet up again and maybe do something other than get a classroom set up. There may be wine involved. And I can’t wait to meet other local peas ( malibou) and anyone else who wants to come visit!

pjynx posted here a few years ago looking for someone to fill a spot at a weekend crop and I took her up on the offer. We had a great time. That WAS a fun weekend. It was great meeting you! Of all the overnight crops I’ve been to, that location was my favorite because it was set up with so many great scrapping conveniences and it was super comfy. Unfortunately, the owner sold the house shortly after. I haven’t been to an overnight crop since. I need to start looking for them again. Pam If you do find a place and need me to fill a space, I gladly will. I had such a good time that weekend.
