I'm looking to create a 4 x 6 photo collage to put inside our Christmas cards. Have you done this? If so where from? I've looked at Walgreen's and that's it.

I suggest Etsy, Snapfish, and Shutterfly.

You can do this on your phone with the free Project Life app. It is pretty easy and you can pick quite a few configurations up to 6- 2 x 2 prints for one 4 x 6. Cost is the same for a 4 x 6 print. This was my first attempt before I realized you could size the photos to fit perfectly in the size.

Much better for you to make the collage and only pay for a regular print!

yes I recommend Project life app, or the Diptic app if you like frames/borders. Also Persnickity Prints has a lot of sizes of collages, not sure about 4x6

You can export the image (choose 4x6 image) and then transfer it from your phone to computer (sounds like maybe you have Apple Photos that syncs the two). You will be able to edit it like any other photo.

Where do I go to make it smaller? It is coming out huge. So I thought if I exported it would work.
I chose a layout in the first section. The other sections gave the sizes. Where within the collage do I change the size?
Better yet….is there a youtube to learn this? Thanks!

If you're using a desktop I would use canva.com They have templates or you can design your own.

The one for Instagram stories or something else? The first one I downloaded wouldn't let me look past the first screen unless I paid them $19. I'm so confused. Thanks!!

If you are trying to make a 4x6 collage in the PL app Create-> Small Print-> top left corner click on the grid to select which template you want to use.

When you are ready to export, click on the share button in the bottom right hand corner and select 4x6. This will download it to your phone's gallery. Then you can upload it to a website of your choosing for printing.

I made one a few years ago from Shutterfly and was happy with their website to help make the collage and with the quality of the prints. If you make the collage and put it in your cart you can wait until they send you an email special on prints. They have some good specials.

The templates in the app are set sizes 4x6, 6x8, 12x12 (not sure if there are others). They each have different configurations. The collage spots are either 2x2, 2x3, 3x4, 4x6, 4x4, etc. It doesn't say what size the spots are but if you have 2 equal spots on a 4x6 they are 3x4. You can not change the size of the collage spots.

Do I need to resize my original before uploading to PL? Ideally I would like to do it within PL

You can't put a rectangle photo into a square spot with out cutting something off.

Here's what I did....I tried Project Life. Their choices were limited for me.
I found Picture Collage Maker. I loaded that onto my laptop. I could delete the stuff they showed and dragged/dropped my photos where I want them. I then was able to put text on top or next to the photos. I saved that in a folder on my desktop. Then I also saved it as a pdf.
From the pdf I went to shutterfly and uploaded it there. I sent it to get a couple of prints to see how it looks.
I tried to use Shutterfly, but the only collages I found were HUGE for posters. I wasn't able to make it down to a 4x6.
Hope this helps someone! Thanks so much ladies!!
