Hi everyone! I'm posting early because I have a home inspection being performed at 9 am ... I'm not worried about it as ex is very handy and we have kept the house in great repair! I don't think the sale of my house has really sunk in yet ... once that "SOLD" sticker goes out on my "FOR SALE" sign outside maybe I'll feel it. I'm assuming that all of the staging furniture will be taken away soon ... going to miss some of the pretty pieces! I'm going to my girlfriends place while the inspector is here ... we are going out for breakfast and then will watch Netflix or something ... This is what I posted on Facebook today ... I definitely will never have a flat stomach no matter my weight ... now, at 55, I talk back - especially to ex! Dinner tonight will be "Farmhouse Chicken" from my meal kit box ... I need to make it tonight because I get my new box tomorrow! It is going to be unbelievably hot here today (for Calgary) ... something like 34 degrees C ... too hot! I will be staying inside in front of my fans ... yay for Netflix and the game on my phone! What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Have a great Saturday everybody! ETA: I'm an idiot! The house inspection isn't until NEXT Saturday! . No biggie ... at least I figured it out in time!

We lost my Uncle a couple of days ago and I just can't think straight. My family is very close, so we are arranging to go to the funeral next week and seeing how we can support my Aunt and cousins right now. Dinner will be breakfast foods - pancakes, smoothies, eggs... I can manage that.

Happy Saturday! Congrats on the contract on your house leannec !! I know you'll be so glad to be settled into your new home. @bdhardy Sending thoughts and prayers for you and your family on the loss of your uncle. A pretty low key weekend ahead here, rain is predicted. A friend is coming over soon and we are going to look at a new retreat center nearby and grab lunch. I really really want/ need some crafty time this weekend. Dinner is undecided. we have a few leftovers, so maybe that, or take out. Wishing everyone a great weekend!!

@bdhardy, I'm so sorry about the loss of your uncle. May his memory be for a blessing to all who knew him. ((((HUGS))). We're headed home to a heat wave today. So, we might watch a movie this afternoon or I'll just nap. Ds is home, too and I think the menfolk are going to Costco in the early evening. Anytime I don't have to go to Costco it's a good day, indeed. Dinner is rechauffe. Good meme, leannec. Glad you finally sold the house. May the rest go smoothly and may you find the condo of your dreams. Enjoy today, my lovelies.

leannec congratulations on selling your house ! Sending good vibes your way so you can get the condo you want. @bdhardy so sorry for your loss. I had a busy day yesterday so today will be a day of rest. I'll probably watch some movies and a little coloring. I'm not really sure what we are doing for dinner. Either order in or have a sandwich.

Congratulations leannec on the pending sale! I hope everything goes smoothly from here! Crossing my fingers for you! Quiet day tonight. My girls are coming up tomorrow for our faux camping adventure. Lol leftovers for dinner tonight. I can hear dh on the phone with MIL right now- apparently she had a heart attack and is in the hospital. It seems (from listening in) it was “small” but any heart attack is not good and she was admitted to the hospital.

We took an early morning walk and now DH is mowing the backyard ~ trying to beat the blazing heat that will be here later in the day. Tonight we're having Chinese Chicken Salad. I'm still working on my Ireland layouts and feel confident I can finish them this weekend. Then I can concentrate on getting ready for Croatia.

I’m sleepy today. Maybe because it’s gray here. Dh went back to town to go to the OSU/Notre Dame game. I usually only go to the 1st game of the season because it’s a scrub team. I get bored after the 1st half. The ticket prices are ridiculous. I kept teasing dh that I was going even though ND is not a scrub team. He was worried I was going to insist I think. Night games are out for me too. 9pm comes and I want to go home. If it’s a good game he won’t leave. We only live about 4 miles from the stadium but it will take an hour or so to get out of there. I’m thinking I’m not going to any games this year. My oldest dd loves the games. Honestly I just want to go to the tailgate. Supposed to be watching Luke. It’s dd & sil anniversary. They wanted to canoe. Her bff came to town and wanted to see Luke too. So it’s almost 2 pm and they haven’t even left. Thinking it might not happen before the rain. I’d like to have KelleeM dinner. But I’ll be having plain chicken & mashed potatoes. My bff said h When she and her dh have had colonoscopies done they aren’t told to avoid any foods. They go to a different place. My siblings all go to completely separate facilities but get the same instructions that I do. It’s weird to me. So sorry about your uncle @bdhardy I hope everyone’s heat wave ends soon.

Change of plans. One of our cute little restaurants here in town is going to close for about 10 days to go on vacation. One of their specials tonight is a grilled romaine salad with grilled chicken and veggies on it so my mom and I are going to go. I also think there’s bacon and a balsamic vinaigrette on it.

My siblings all go to completely separate facilities but get the same instructions that I do. It’s weird to me. Hmm, other than the gallon of fluid to clean you out, I don't know anyone that is told to avoid certain foods before a colonoscopy. What are you avoiding? Curious minds need to know. Do you live close enough that your DH will be able to see his mom today, paget? I hope she has a full recovery. Sorry for your loss, @bdhardy. We are suffering from heat and humidity here. The house was already 75ºF/24ºC when I got up around 6:30. I went right out to walk the neighborhood and am pretty proud of myself for getting it done because we had to drop our BFFs at the airport midmorning. They are exploring a move to Europe and going to test a few locations so it is a happy for them/sad for us kind of feeling around here. My plan for dinner was to use the last of the rotisserie chicken for gyros and make a Greek salad, but the dang carnivores seem to have finished the chicken. I'll still make a Greek salad and let the guys decide if they want to grill chicken sausages and corn. I have no plans to stand anywhere near a heat source today.

We will be watching college football tonight, so we're either having rechauffe or homemade cheesesteaks - depends on how hungry we are and whether I feel like actually cooking anything, LOL. My late summer/fall allergies are kicking in, plus DH and I spent some time cleaning, which also irritates my sinuses (dust allergy). But I am happy to have clean floors and a clean cat area again.
I am working on finishing the cross-stitch I started several weeks ago for DD2. I only have one section left and I'm hoping to get in framed and out in the mail by Tuesday.

paget praying for your MIL for quick recovery and care. @bdhardy I am so sorry for your loss. scrapmaven DH went to Costco early this am. After multiple past trips finally scored their Kirkland roast Turkey slices. Oh it's so good. They are always out. He will often stop at Costco on the way home from work. I'm glad not to go though I will need to go this week for my dogs prescriptions. DS and I are streaming Only Murders in the Building on Hulu with Steve Martin, Selena Gomez and Martin Short. It's entertaining. The little wonder is so happy DS is home. It's fun to watch. I tell my son he has rock star status. Tonight is BBQ steaks, baked potatoes and squash from the garden. My one yellow squash plant is 8' x 7'

You have my sympathy for the allergies. I am right there with you. Today was the 2nd day YDS tested negative for Covid. ODS needed us to drop some things off to him. So we drove down, dropped everything off to him at the curb. And then drove home. We wore masks in the car. It was nice to at least get out of the house. DH and I are still negative. Dinner tonight is rechauffe.

It was soooooo hot and humid here today. I'm ready for fall, bring it on!
DS needed an air conditioner because his bit the dust yesterday. We just happened to have one in MIL's apartment so we took a trip into the city to pick it up. Then took a short nap this afternoon.
Supper tonight was a fish sandwich made with a bagel.

Hi, Peas! DH and I attended the funeral for my BFF's dad today. The weather was scary -- I've never driven in rain that heavy. But we got there safely, and it was a beautiful service. So proud of my BFF -- she memorialized her daddy so beautifully. Having just lost her mom four months ago, I really don't know how she did it. Tonight is a football watch party at my other BFF's house. I'm providing Aidell's chicken gouda apple sausages and hot dogs, as well as mac and cheese from Costco, chips and a Buckeye pie. Can you guess which game we'll be watching? Hint: O-H! Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend here in the U.S.!

Legacy Girl, I'm so very sorry about your bff's loss. She's a strong woman and she will heal from these losses over time. What is a Buckeye pie? I get the Buckeye part. Marina, thank you for the 411 about the turkey slices. I'll let dh and ds know. Both enjoy turkey sandwiches and maybe they can split the meat btwn them. I love Only Murders in the Building. destined2bmom, I had an almost 4 hour nap. I think I'm ready to face the night. I'm wishing your family Covid negative vibes from now on. leannec, how did the home inspection go?
