That's awful. I hate that seniors are so often treated without proper consideration for their age, and also that assumptions are made based on their age rather than objectively based on their symptoms. I hope your mom is doing ok.

oh my friend, I'm so sorry to hear this about your mom <hugs> this pestilence seems to have no end to the suffering it has caused. I pray she recovers fully and quickly. Bless her heart, they can be so stubborn, its a worry on top of worry!

For whatever it’s worth, my 93yo mom had it last winter and bounced right back after a few days. I wish your mom the same easy experience.

Dementia really complicates things, doesn’t it? We have had similar issues with my MIL, who has dementia and has had COVID twice now. I hope your mom recovers well.

I am sorry your Mom now has Covid and that she had to wait so very long to actually get diagnosed and started on treatment. Sitting in the ER waiting is so draining. I'm sorry that you are not allowed to visit her. I hope she heals rapidly and that you can get her home to a familiar environment.

Praying for your Momma Elaine. It's so hard when they get older and you to have to help them thru these times and they still want to make decisions for themselves. Hugs to you as you navigate through these rough times as well. Covid is just an added nightmare to the aging population.

elaine : I'm so sorry. What an ordeal alone with the ER. It's been constantly packed down here, so it's usually an 11 hour day. I can't imagine how scary an out-of-norm place would be for her. Prayers that she recovers from the fall & Covid. I'm so sorry you can't be with her right now. Are you able to call in to the hospital floor she's on to check on her? {{{Hugs}}}} to you during this upsetting & frustrating time.
