I bust out a tune daily. In the car with the radio and in the kitchen mostly. Random odd songs when I’m in the kitchen. So random that I wonder how my brain works. Like “one tin soldier” and “the impossible dream”. Random.

Alone in the car and off tune, I'm sure. I don't even sing around my husband. I don't even sing Happy Birthday publicly, I mouth the words at most. It is my gift to the birthday person to NOt sing for them.

Daily for me much to my family's dismay. I used to torture my kids by singing along to whatever was playing in a store but only if no one was around. My dad has an amazing singing voice that I did not get in the genetic toss up.

All the time, any place, anywhere. If I hear a word or sentence and I know a song with that word or sentence, off I go! If I’m not singing, I’m whistling! I’m not even aware of it most of the time.

All.the.time!
Car, shower, office, anywhere!
My favourite car songs are Tainted Love and In the Air Tonight. Nothing like a steering wheel drum solo to go along with my singing.

I was a trained contralto. I sing all the time. At one point it was my super power. We didn't do lullabies. We belted out showtunes.

Literally if I’m conscious, I’m singing (or humming some tune). The only exception is when I am furious about something I will get really quiet while I replay everything in my head.

All the time. Car, home, shower what ever. I have music playing a lot. I also agree with callmenutz that random words and sentences can bring on a song all the time. Although no whistling for me as can not whistle.
Harper Valley PTA and Two out of Three ain’t bad are my shower singing songs. 😆
I am all the time telling people just imagine what I could remember or attain if all those brain cells were not filled with song lyrics.

Daily for me much to my family's dismay. I used to torture my kids by singing along to whatever was playing in a store but only if no one was around. My dad has an amazing singing voice that I did not get in the genetic toss up. I can quote all of this and say "Me too!" I don't have a good singing voice, but I sing all the time, if a song comes on the radio / phone / TV that I like. I enjoy it, but my family..... not so much. I also used to sing in the shops, even if there were people around. I found that by doing it in front of other people, it really took the child's embarrassment up a few notches. My dad can sing quite well, he was in the church choir when he was a little boy. He wouldn't win Australian Idol, but he sings well enough to do it in public without embarrassment, and well enough for people to say "Wow, you can sing!" If you say a word or or I hear a word or sentence and I know a song with that word or sentence, off I go! Yes me too. It drives DSO nuts, because we will be watching TV, and someone might mention a song, or a word, and that's it..... I'm off and singing. More than once he has got up off the couch and gone to watch TV in the bedroom so I can't disturb him!

Always in the car! My DD when she was in middle school (ugh!!) would get so mad when I had the words wrong--like Maroon 5 "this love has taken it's toll" I would sing "I just can't take any more."
And when no one is home, it's just me singing along with Spotify.

Sometimes in the car and sometimes at home when I get some earwig stuck in my head. Mostly at night when I’m trying to fall asleep there will be some random song or part of a song stuck on repeat running through my brain.

Singing is one thing I grieve for. I used to sing in choirs, competitions and in a band. I had to have an inhaler after possibly-Covid and haven't been able to sing properly since. I'm trying to get back into it in the car where nobody else can hear me, but it hurts my ears and hurts my heart.

Noooo RedSquirrelUK, I hope your singing comes back! I sing all of the time, and have zero business doing so. I wish I had a dime for every time my Dh cautioned my Ds to watch what he said, as Dh swears that I have a song for everything and if I dont, I'll make one up. When Ds asked questions about cannibals, I made up a song for him. He has admitted that he sings it sometimes when he misses me and has to tell at his brain to knock it off. 😂 When I was 7 I was asked to stop singing at church because I was loud and out of tune and it distracted the man that sat in front of us. Broke my heart, as I love hymns. To me that was the only reason to go to church, because I'm just not the religious type.

Was an all inclusive, anybody can join, type thing. Apparently I was so off key, I was disinvited and asked not to return. Ever since then, I do not sing if there is anyone around. Ever. however, if I am home alone, I will sing and dance with my dogs. I have one beagle that likes me to grab her front feet and we dance together. She is my biggest fan.

Lots. For years I sang and played my guitar at a local Friday night jam. My son plays lead and sings at a small country show a few towns over, twice a month, and I am usually on the bill to sing once a month. Mostly old country w/a few 50’s and 60’s Rock and Roll tunes thrown in. It’s a lot of fun. I was just singing a Faron Young song I’m trying to learn when I opened this thread. And if I get started on Beatles songs, I have a hard time shutting up! Music and singing are such a joy!

Every day all day long! I’m a music teacher! I also sing in the car nearly all of the time, in Walmart, don’t care who hears me, church choir, and, well, everywhere! My mom always told me I couldn’t sing, she was a “real” singer! Ha! And she wasn’t wrong, but I can ensemble sing just fine. Ha! In real life I’m a drummer!

Rarely, I used to occasionally sing along to a song in the car, but I live in such a high traffic area that I dont even do that anymore.
I'll admit to be perplexed by people who just start singing in public.

Most of the time the car when I am alone. I sing all the way to work and no one complains. lol... Maybe while doing housework. But usually son is home and he doesn't appreciate my good singing skills. Neither does the dog.

All the time. Daily. In the car. In the kitchen while I cook. At Trader Joe's while I'm shopping cause they always play my old school music, a couple of times I've had people join in with me. I don't sing loud or anything, but I do sing. I love to sing. I have a decent voice

back to add that I will sit in my car and finish an especially good song. I did that last night with Anita Baker "Sweet Love". I can't leave Anita.
