Very cool. Thanks for the link. Last night was about 1,054,000. I think this is a bunch of them that I saw today resting and refueling. 😁

We have them ^^^^^ all year round. Except I think there are winter ones and summer ones, so they do migrate.

I live in Hennepin county in Minnesota. We had 3.7 million last night! I know they come down from Canada and turn south when they hit Lake Superior. They don't fly over the lake due to lack of thermals. They follow the Mississippi River when they get this far south.
I am enjoying seeing swans and red-winged blackbirds passing through the wetlands and ponds of my neighborhood this week.

Ah cool!
4.3 million last night - wow.
I am lucky enough to own a large amount of river bottom ground. It is pretty cool to be out in the meadows and timber to see all the different birds. Spring and fall always bring some neat surprises.
When the pelicans come through in the spring, it's an event!

how very cool!!! we've been lucky enough to see a few flocks of 'odd' birds (for our area) flying over our area in the last couple weeks... one weekend late afternoon, it was a HUGE flock of nighthawks. VERY neat!!
