Amazon apparently ain’t the answer. I had one from cold water creek, but Moira the Pitbill shredded it after yanking it off the drying rack.
Suggestions? I’d like it fitted rather than boxy. I’d like to launder it at home. In the washing machine.

Well just ask to find the holy grail, why don't you?
I love a good crisp white cotton shirt, but the perfect one always seems elusive. I like one that's a little loose and not too fitted. Definitely not boxy. With some darts to give it shape but not make it snug. Long enough to tuck when desired but not too long to leave it untucked as well. Enough 'hand' to the fabric to look fresh but not stiff. And on and on...
I'll be watching your thread to see what options are suggested!

I really like my button downs from Vineyard Vines. Very nice quality. Sundance catalog also has really nice button downs but they aren’t a basic button down.

I thought about Talbots! And I love chicos. I need more than one because white means I’ll spill on it right away without a doubt.

I bought a new one at j crew this weekend. They currently have a super baggy one, a super slim one, and a “classic”. I went with the classic and strongly advise completely ignoring the number on the tag on all of the above 😂. I had everything from an 8 to a snug 16 on, it was wild.

I have a Foxcroft no-iron button down shirt similar to this one. I have it in light pink but it also comes in white and other colors. www.foxcroftcollection.com/products/paityn-essential-pinpoint-non-iron-shirt/It’s very nice, has held up well and I like it. I’m so glad I bought it at Costco when I did though, because dang! $94 for one shirt? Great Googly Moogly! I would never spend that much! I’m guessing the one I bought couldn’t have been more than $30, and even that would be a stretch for me. I’m pretty cheap when it comes to clothes.

You can't go wrong with Foxcroft. I have a blue and white checked long sleeve button down I picked up while thrifting. I've worn it for at least 7 years and it still looks as new as new can be. And it's no iron, which is a major bonus. I'm wearing it right now!
