Based on what she wrote and the texts to Mark Meadows, I think there might be some bombshells in the Jan 6 investigation

This last sentence is so true
If the Democrats are trying to portray themselves as the competent party, the Republicans seem to be trying to give them a leg up.

She always does a great job of tying different events together. Love this! at this point my guess is that there are a number of Republicans standing back and silently cheering on those trying to put a definitive end to Trump’s political career.Last night on PBS' Washington Week, one of the reporters said something similar about Republicans, maybe in reference to funding the government. Voting no but secretly hoping it passes.

Steven Miller, for example is just evil. His organization is challenging in court any attempts by the Biden administration to work towards racial equity. And regrettably, they've found conservative judges sympathetic to their cause. wapo.st/3Wrm6fn

No problem. Thank you for faithfully posting every night! Happy New Year! A always, her conclusions are spot on! heathercoxrichardson.substack.com/p/december-30-2022But the country looks very different today than it did a year ago. I ended last year’s wrap-up letter by saying: “It looks like 2022 is going to be a choppy ride, but its outcome is in our hands. As Congressman John Lewis (D-GA), who was beaten almost to death in his quest to protect the right to vote, wrote to us when he passed: ‘Democracy is not a state. It is an act, and each generation must do its part.’”
The story of 2022 turned out to be how many folks both abroad and at home stepped up to the plate.
