Hi everyone! So I saw "Don't Worry Darling" with my girlfriend last night ... all I'll say is I don't think my mum will have a clue what is going on if I take her to see it . The acting was great and the costumes and sets were AMAZING! It was just a very "different" story. I'm meeting my mum for breakfast this morning which is why I'm posting so early ... they know us at my local Denny's because we go there so often. The rest of my day will be spent doing a bit of work and laundry ... woo hoo! This is what I posted on Facebook today ... I get my delivery from my gourmet salad company, as well as Hello Fresh, today ... my salads are soooo good but don't cost $16! . I hate making salad for my work lunches so this is perfect for me! I'm thinking that I might make chili tonight for dinner ... I have all of the ingredients ... maybe invite my mum over. You may have noticed that my mum eats dinner with me pretty often ... I was noticing that she wasn't eating well ... now she is because I cook for her multiple times per week ... makes me feel good What are your plans today? What is on your menu? Have a relaxing Sunday everybody!

I'm so glad you are taking good care of your mom leannec. I, too, love a good salad but am too lazy to make it. Hahaha... I wish I had your salad delivery here. I would totally take advantage of it. Yesterday we ended up having tacos. So tonight I will take my third attempt at pork stir fry. Jeremy's off golfing with my BIL. I've just gotten out of the shower and put a load of laundry in. I've got tons of laundry. And I'm going to dry my hair and then get started on the scrapbook for my stepdaughter's baby shower. I am thinking I will watch (really listen) to old musicals while I do that.

Good Morning....leannec, I love that you cook for your Mom to make sure she eats.....That is so sweet!!!
I have been MIA for a few days....I feel like friday and saturday were lost to me. I was supposed to work 11-7 friday however our time keeper has not been scheduling staff after 7pm on some days.....we are supposed to be staffed to run 3 rooms until 5:30, and one room after that. I got a text begging me to come at 7 instead of 11pm, as the two people there were off at 7:30. I was so busy.....I never sat down for a break until 520am....We were busy with a case until 2am...then the clean up...and it was a mess. I got home and had a bite to eat then actually slept till 2pm. Didn't do much the rest of the day....dinner was take out ..left that up to DH. I was in bed by 8pm and slept through the night.
Dinner tonight will be roasted veggies and chicken thighs....I am working again tonight....so I will have a nap at some point. I have a big mess of paper and photo's on my work table, so I think it is time to make sense of it, or at least neaten it up.

I'm washing sheets and towels today and will be the end of my to do list. Going to try to relax today and do nothing else. For dinner we are having stuffed salmon with asparagus.

Just an ordinary Sunday here. DH walked to the bakery first thing to buy breakfast, then we went to church. After weeks of ‘fill in’ priests, our regular was back from the US, which was nice. He even asked me how my dad was, and said he had been praying for him, after dad was hospitalised just before the priest left for vacation. After lunch, I went out to walk, as the sun finally broke through the clouds for a bit. Good timing - half an hour after I got back the clouds gathered again and we ended up with drenching rain for half an hour or so. There has also been football on TV and knitting happening.
Dinner tonight is roast pork with roast potatoes and pumpkin, and probably cauliflower as there is still half of one in the fridge.

I am meeting friends and going out for brunch at some new place. I looked at the menu on-line and it is pricey or is it simply because everything has gone up in price It's called *pur and simple*, but the prices are high & mighty. Hopefully I can order off of the children's menu since my appetite still isn't great. Going because of the social aspect. May go shopping afterwards as this is close to the local big mall. Have a great Sunday everyone!!

Sunday is grocery day and I just finished washing fruit and cooking some eggs in the Instant Pot. I need to finish making and addressing my cards for the swap. I want to mail them tomorrow. Dinner is grilled ribeyes with whatever leftover cooked veggies need to be eaten from the fridge. jeremysgirl sending warm hugs. You did a hard thing and I’m guessing you will have mixed feelings about it. I cleared out Dick’s clothes very soon after his death and regret it sometimes. leannec you’re a great daughter! I can’t wait until you move into your condo! I’m a little jealous you get a fresh start!

I'm finally feeling more human today. So, I will use my Cricut rather than just staring at it. I have a puzzle, too. It's the calm before the next whirlwind. Dinner will probably be tacos or af fajitas. leannec, your mom is very lucky to be able to share dinners w/you. It probably helps you both to have such good company.

Happy Sunday!
Ran a few errands this morning. Needed a few toiletries for my trip Tuesday. Started some laundry and picking up the house.
Today is grandson number 3 birthday. He requested spaghetti and garlic bread for his birthday dinner.
Have a fabulous day!

Hey all - I'm hoping to sneak in a nap today - slept terrible. We're going out to eat again tonight. Our community is having restaurant week, so we're making an effort to go and support the local restaurants.

oh leannec, I didn’t realize other people feel the same way I do about salad. Love a good restaurant salad, hate making it at home. karenlou, what the heck? I thought you were supposed to be retired! The job ate your weekend. Yesterday was my son’s FIL’s memorial service, and they did a really nice job on it and also fed us ravioli, garlic bread, and salad. So that was dinner. Tonight I have TWO different rechauffe soups, plus more ravioli, all of which has to be heated on the stove or eaten cold (I think the microwave guy is coming this week, and he better not tell me I need a new microwave). The 13yo shared his cold with me, so all I want is soup, anyway. I wore a mask to the service yesterday to try to avoid infecting anyone else.

Dinner could be anything. I thought about air fried pork loin but maybe not. I will look at the grocery store soon.
The dog keeps biting me again and I am going to whack him if he draws blood again. My hand is so sore. I also have bite anxiety because I am afraid he will bite me again. I hope he grows out of this quickly.

Took a trip to the city this morning with DH to do some errands.
Tomorrow is grandboy #3’s birthday and he will turn 2. It will be a pizza party in their backyard so looking forward to spending some time with the family.
Next weekend is Thanksgiving here so trying to organize a family dinner and get everyone in the same place at the same time. It’s nearly impossible but I think everyone can come on Saturday.
My brother and his family arrived home safely from Florida this morning. Haven’t had a chance to hear about their adventure but I’m sure it’s a vacation that they won’t soon forget.
Dinner tonight is as of yet undecided.

No I will get a bigger dog to put him in his place and the breeder said if he kept biting me to whack him with a rubber shoe. Then your breeder doesn’t know how to train a dog. You don’t get a bigger dog to put him in his place. I am out of this thread right now because I am so angry that you’re gonna hurt your dog

It's called *pur and simple* This name rings a bell and I think there is one in Vancouver, or a breakfast/lunch place with a similar name. IIRC they have crepes. I love savory breakfast crepes and so few places offer them. Today is grandson number 3 birthday Happy birthday to the little guy! karenlou, it really does sound like you lost your weekend. We are puttering around and I just now realized no one has turned on football. Very unusual for a fall Sunday around here. I know I'll get a few chores knocked out it I leave the TV off, so won't say a word. I didn't make a Greek salad yesterday, so that is on the menu tonight with tzatziki, pita and grilled chicken.

lucyg may your son's fil's memory be for a blessing to all who knew him. I wish you a quick cold and that you'll feel much better by tmw. KelleeM , I needed a machine that caters to dummies. With a learning disability sometimes I can get very confused if something is complicated w/measurements or too much detail. If I can figure this thing out you certainly can. You're a smart lady and it's really easy. I haven't touched cardstock in years and it feels good to finally make a card. You buy the thing for $99 then you plug it into the outlet. Then download cricut design space on your computer or device. It's bluetooth, so you don't need a cable for it. The directions walk you through it. I'm serious when I say it's simple to use.
I used to eat salad every single day. I would buy lots of veggies at the market and then toss em all in w/the lettuce. My favorite thing is salad.

Tonight I will either have chicken and gnocchi soup or chicken enchiladas as I will finish preparing them and packing them for lunch.

jeremysgirl, thanks, the cold isn’t so bad. I’ve been taking NyQuil at night and sleeping well. I don’t feel 100% but not completely awful, either. Soup is good. leannec, LOVE the chair. That is so totally cute. You need some pink to go with all gray. The boys went to the Jelly Belly factory and brought me home a mix of my favorite flavors (fruity/citrusy). I had to put them away because too. much. sugar. even for me!

bc2ca ~~ Yes, it is part of a chain restaurant in Canada. New in my area. The food was tasty but (I found) expensive. The weird part was that they put the bread/bagels that everyone had ordered in a single bread-basket. This was confusing as it wasn't a communal bread-basket. $3.00 for an English muffin is a bit pricey.
