Fits right in with Kari Lake (R-AZ). She keeps saying "true choices" . I think she is trying to convince herself!! Kari Lake, the Republican nominee for governor of Arizona, argued on Sunday that banning abortions would offer women "true choices" during pregnancy.During an interview on CBS, Lake said "abortionists" were the ones refusing to give women choices. Lake has previously vowed to sign an abortion ban based on fetal "heartbeats" if she becomes governor. *** I'm for giving women true choices," she continued. "And when they walk into an abortion center, they're only given one choice. They're not told that you have the choice to keep your baby and we can help." *** Lake added: "I want to give women true choices. I will uphold the law, whatever that law is." The candidate also accused Democrats of supporting abortion "after birth."www.rawstory.com/kari-lake-abortion/

I don’t get it. It’s like they think people want to have an abortion 🤦♀️ Give them the choice to or not.

I just don’t understand how they think limiting choices is doing the opposite. You always have the choice to have the baby that has never changed. It’s not like abortion clinics are advertising and having sales to bring in clients.

I don’t know how you counter that kind of ignorance … it’s like they choose to believe complete nonsense. There’s certainly no evidence for it.

Yes, b/c the ONLY reason someone might want to have an abortion is b/c of the cost of diapers? Seriously.

I love how they’re only willing to provide help for new families if the mother has no choice. When she has a choice, they’re opposed to social safety net programs of any kind.

The 'anti' service centers never ever address abortion, so they project that the 'choice' centers only address one thing, they ignore that they are Women's health centers with multiple goals including assistance with pregnancy..

It's the same group who thinks a woman can just walk into PP for an abortion at 40 weeks. smh

I honestly thought that eroding women’s rights was an outlier at first, because I knew that those policies would be unpopular. But I am beginning to think that THEY think that they have set up elections so that they can take control, so now they are pandering to their base.
It cannot be said enough that these people are dangerous. Contraception and same-sex marriage have a very good chance of being on the chopping block if these Neanderthals win.
And who knows what else.

Or in the hospital to deliver a baby and the doctors will do an abortion instead, according to the Republican candidate for governor in Arizona. Abortion on demand until the moment of birth. www.nytimes.com/2022/10/09/us/elections-midterms-sunday-talk-shows.htmlOn abortion, Ms. Lake accused Ms. Hobbs of supporting the procedure “right up until birth” — a common, and misleading, Republican claim against Democrats — and falsely claimed, “If you are in the hospital in labor, the abortionists are for giving you an abortion if you desire one.”

Woman in my SS class (who says she is an RN) made the claim once that "they are giving abortions at 9 months" I replied, "Wouldn't that be birth, if the pregnancy was at 9 months?" She never replied.
