My DD is dressing up at work with her marketing team as items in a haunted supermarket(ing). She's asked me for help coming up with a costume AND how to execute said costume. She said originally they were trying to stick with produce items, but some have branched out from that- such as the walking bread (love it!).
I came up with a boo-berry, a sandwitch, an ice scream sundae, or possessed peas in a pod- all fairly simple to do. Deviled egg is taken.
Any other puny (English is hard- lol) punny ideas I can suggest to her that aren't hard to create??

I won a costume contest with Dunkinā Donuts one year. I put a donut floater around my body and carried a basketball.

One year, I wrote a big letter P on a brown shirt and put black makeup around one eye - I was a Black-Eyed Pea

I had a coworker once make a t shirt with corn kernels on the front (she painted them...they were beautiful!) and wore a green cape. She was super corny.

I saw one with tropical type leaves taped all over along with some numbers (like 3, 5, 7, 11, 17, etc). It was āAmazon Primeā

Last year a friend showed me a photo of one of her daughters & a collegue in their work costumes. Her daughter, who is a natural redhead, was a "spice ghoul" with ghoul makeup; bright red lipstick; a black t-shirt & leggings; platform black booties; & a red apron bearing the ground ginger spice logo. Her coworker was a "cereal killer" wearing a white milk mustache; messy hair/bedhead; slippers; patterned pajama pants; & a black t-shirt covered with white paint splatters, individual-serving size cereal box fronts, & white plastic spoons. A more haunted/gory version may substitute more dramatic makeup, white t-shirt, red paint splatters, plastic knives, etc. HTH & you have fun doing this project with your daughter!

DD went as a Cereal Killer one year. Lots of fake blood and cereal box labels were involved.
