IIRC, she insisted you needed to get dressed every day, including wearing shoes in the house. That's a hard no from me and I couldn't take any more of her cleaning advice. Sorry to hear Covid hit your grands, sueg. I hope it is a quick recovery and their parents stay virus free. I went to a pumpkin patch for the first time in 10+ years this morning and came home to an almost cleared back patio. DH decided we don't use the furniture enough in winter and wanted it all covered hoping we don't have to sand/paint next spring. He probably is right, but it does look bare. Dinner will be a fennel & pear salad with Italian sausages for the guys.

Do you still have all your older machines, or do you trade in? I have my Phaff (1993 - Made in West Germany) as it is so reliable as well as my Designer II. I also have my mom's Phaff, which is the same as my machine. They are work-horses. I am wanting to teach my dgd to sew on my mom's machine, as it has a walking foot. Dad had purchased one for me and one for mom, so that if she had problems, I could help her over the phone. Thanks for the link!

Thanks for the tag scrapmaven. I was thinking off you all last night, and that I needed to pop in more often. I was working on a scrapbook layout of when DSO and I went out for dinner back in June. I couldn't remember what dishes we had eaten, so I did a search of the dinner thread from that day, and voilà! I had posted what meals we'd eaten. (The menu has changed since we went so I couldn't look on-line.) DSO and I went to Costco on Saturday. We bought a few meals from there. We had one of them on Sunday night - it was a peppered brisket. It was really good, and so easy..... just pop the bag of meat into boiling water for 15-20 minutes, heat up the BBQ sauce, and it's done. Bloody expensive though - it cost $40!

Had to go to the lake to get dh’s dress work clothes. He seems to need them more lately. He’s going to Nashville for work and I was supposed to go too. After talking to him he’ll be with clients all day and all evening everyday So I decided not to go. I thought it was near the mountains but not really.
On my way home I picked up a rotisserie chicken from my boujee neighborhood grocery. It was 8.99! Ack! We are going to eat it til it’s gone this week. [
I was a Flylady participant back in the day. Why did I quit? br] Happy Sunday!

Oh my I remember Flylady aka dictator. I liked the plan for doing a little each day but not all the crazy requirements. I've been having sinus headaches and so today has been low key. Reading a book that included what happened in Tiananmen square and I recalled all that happened and watching the TV. Such a horrific time. Concerned for China and Taiwan. scrapmaven sorry your tomatoes didn't survive. We still have some cherry tomatoes trickling in. Tonight we had NY strip steak, baked potatoes wand roasted squashes.
