Hi everyone! Another day where the yard is filled with snow but at least it has stopped coming down ... roads are just wet ... I had forgotten that I have new Uggs - cute Bailey Bow ones so it was fun to wear them for the first time yesterday! . I'll wear them all week ... I am posting early because I am meeting my mum for breakfast ... I am hungry so I'm looking forward to my omelette! Today will be spent marking again. I sold a bunch of stuff on Facebook Marketplace yesterday ... just small things but made $80! This is what I posted on Facebook today ... I always ask for a straw at restaurants ... I hate paper ones! I'm spoiled! I have my Hello Fresh delivery today so dinner will be one of those recipes ... as usual, no idea what I ordered! What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Have a relaxing Sunday everybody!

Beautiful day here today. Need to help my mom put some things away and then I need to finish scrapbooking my great nieces album this afternoon. It will be nice to watch football without worrying whether the Buffalo Bills are going to win or lose since they have a bye week. No idea what’s for dinner something with chicken

I just finished making pumpkin pancakes for a very late breakfast. I go grocery shopping on Sunday mornings and never eat before I go.
We’re having pan fried haddock, leftover veggies and rice for dinner. Easy for me since ds cooks the fish outside.
I plan to do some card making or scrapbooking later.

Happy Sunday!
I’m doing doing some small tasks that I have been putting off - like going thru the mail.
All the kids and grandkids are coming over this afternoon to carve pumpkins.
We are going to have burgers on the grill since it is going to be in the 70’s today. Got to enjoy this weather while we can.
Have a great Sunday everyone!

Just finished Sadie's memorial page for dd's album. Going to take dd to Kohls to burn some Kohls cash. Then back to do some chores and craft. Told dh and the kids that dh is on duty today and that mom needs a break. Ds was a stinker when I said please direct all questions, concerns, and grievances to dad. He said Ha and laughed an evil laugh. 😁🤣 Teens I tell ya.
Dinner is turkey meatballs, cranberry sauce, green beans, candied yams, and asparagus.

karenlou, I'm so envious. We had a heat wave that took out our tomato plants. We normally have tomatoes until December. Enjoy your tomatoes. leannec, funny meme. True, too. Have fun spending your $80. Get something cute for your new house. Today will be a relaxing day and football will be involved. I'm learning the game a bit, but dh won't teach me, because when he's watching he is focused. Dinner is chicken and squash. Ya. We've all heard that before. This time I mean it. Dh picked the squash, so I have to use it. Calling paget and AussieMeg, I've missed you both on the thread. If you read this and want to check in, I'd love to say "hi". Have a fun, relaxing, happy day.

What was supposed to be 15 minute challenges has turned into me going at my cleaning hard for two hours. But things look better. I need to finish all the laundry. There are mountains of laundry. But my kitchen is clean and my dining room is clean. Cat boxes are clean. One of my cats was so very happy to see us. The other cat was quite irritated with us and stayed away and pooped on the dining room floor just to show us how angry she was. I'll pick the dog up when the kennel opens at 4. Hopefully she is happier to see us. We ordered pizza when we got home last night so there will be rechauffe tonight. Jeremy is going golfing this afternoon with his sister. Can you believe it's 75 in Michigan today? Sorry about your snow leannec! I'm going to clean up my living room. I bought one of those closet hangers to store all my shawls. So I'm going to hang it up in Esther's closet and put my shawls in there. And then I will shower and sit my ass down. Crochet will then be on the agenda. Can I just say I don't want to go back to work tomorrow? Whine, whine, pout, pout.

No book sorting today! As usual on a Sunday, I went to church. It is so much longer now on the weekends when DH is not here - it used to be 5 minutes on the underground, then a short walk, now it is 45 minutes, then the same walk. When DH is here, we drive, unless it is a weekend with messed up traffic, like two weeks ago when the Munich marathon blocked roads all over town. It also means it was after 12:30 when I got home again.
After lunch was relax time. Today's football games didn't interest me much, so I've been binging Netflix while knitting. I have now finished the main parts of the sweater I am making myself, just need to sew it together and knit the neckband, which I will tackle another day during daylight.
<for dinner tonight, I am heating a piece of brisket I bought - it is sous vide cooked, so won't take long. I have also made gratin potatoes and will do some mixed vegetables to go with it.
Please also send up a prayer or good thoughts for my dear granddaughters, and their parents. Both girls have tested positive for Covid - I guess Sophia brought it home from daycare again. So far, DS and DDiL are still negative, but they have two grumpy, snotty little girls who are not sleeping much due to stuffed noses and coughs.

jeremysgirl, do you remember Flylady? I signed up for her cleaning challenges and she stalked me every 5 minutes. I quickly ended that relationship. Haha. I like 15 minute challenges where I'm not stalked. When we get back from trips we have one cat who ignores us for a while. He's clearly put out. The other cat doesn't care as long as he's been fed and has a warm bed on which to sleep. Going back to work is no fun after a vacation. Please plan something fun to do tmw night. Your shawls are beautiful. I know this from personal experience.

My cleaning ladies were supposed to come on Tuesday but since we were out of state they didn't come. And then of course all the wreckage from prepping for the trip and then coming home from it, sigh, it's a lot of work. That's why we drove home yesterday instead of today.

It was 42 degrees this morning! I was cold on our walk but at least the sun is shining! We're having pot roast with potatoes, carrots and onions. This is in Plitvice Lakes National Park which is amazing. Because of the drought, the waterfalls weren't as full as they usually are but it was wonderful anyway.

I need to clean my house in the fastest way possible. I sound pathetic to admit that even fast will be a huge improvement. The beauty of living in a practically empty house is that there is almost nothing to clean! I have a cleaning lady coming on the day after I move out so I really have little incentive to do much anyway!

I had a fun time at the eurchre game last night. Good food and good company. I picked up my new *toy* yesterday, a new Baby Lock quilting and sewing machine, *Allegro*. There was a sale and bonus features, including a rolling tote, so I think I got a decent deal. This is my 5th sewing machine in my life. I got my 1st one when I was 10, 2nd one at 21 years old, 3rd at 33, 4th was more of an embroidery machine & computerized. This has a longer throat so I will be learning how to quilt my quilts. I was playing around with it this afternoon. Maybe **GypsyGirl** or flanz can pop in here to give me their opinions. I also have a serger that I rarely use these days. I used it a lot when dd was younger and I made most of her clothes, because she liked knit fabrics. I made her some unique outfits, as people would ask where I got her clothes and wanted me to make clothes for their kids! Breakfast for dinner tonight.

Hello all - happy Sunday! Thank you for the tag scrapmaven. ❤️Today has been a busy and fun day. We went to church and Costco and went to an art show with local artists. I found an artist that makes painted paper collage and just loved her work! It was all bright florals. The actual art pieces were more money than I want to spend right now but she had small prints of some of her work so I bought two of those for my scrap room. Just looking at them makes me happy. She is thinking about offering some classes so I gave her my email. I would love to make something like her work. Now I have to put everything from Costco away, clean up around here a bit, and workout. Tonight we are having taco dip and watching the Seahawks. They are playing right now but I’m recording the game as dh is working on our house. Hope you all have been well!

Good day! I'm making pot roast with Lipton onion soup mix on it, in foil. Roasted vegetables, salad. Cold and rainy here today, it will likely turn to snow this evening. sueg, I'm sorry the little girls are sick.

Lazy Sunday here. We are grilling an assortment (steak, pork chops and chicken) and will eat while we watch the Astros play. Fingers crossed they win #4 tonight! This has a longer throat so I will be learning how to quilt my quilts. Maybe **GypsyGirl** or flanz can pop in here to give me their opinions. I also have a serger that I rarely use these days. Congratulations on your new toy! It's always fun to get something with newer features. Do you still have all your older machines, or do you trade in? While I have done some quilting, these days I tend to send most of it out. The 12" throat space will be very helpful with quilting. Baby Locks have a good reputation so you should be happy with it. While I'm not much help on the quilting or Baby Lock (Bernina girl here), you might want to check out the Baby Lock Ambassadors in this link. I've been following Tea Rose Home for quite a while now and really like her style. And just last month I met Bianca Springer at a local quilt guild meeting. She showed some of her work, which is beautiful. Have fun creating! Baby Lock Ambassadors
