Well, it's not a problem for them! So it's not a problem, right?

They are a basket of deplorables is the only polite thing I can say about people that spew such hate and the idiotic imbeciles who think that retweeting or supporting that bs is perfectly ok. I am sorry that people not only think this way but feel emboldened to announce it to the world. I blame the Orange Menace for normalizing this kind of bs and will hate him till my dying day for all the pain he is continually causing people.

It's so disgusting. And as pointed out on the Hysteria podcast this week, those who hate Jews rarely only hate Jews, so wake the hell up, idiots like Kanye and Kyrie. These people hate you too, except when you're a tool for promoting their sick agenda.

Oh, I'm sure it is the fault of the Jews. Well, the Jews and the Democrats. Because the Dems are forcing those right wing nut jobs (including MTG) to push back against them through blatant antisemitism .

Basket of deplorables is perfect too... and makes me long for a do-over of the 2016 election. I wonder what the country and world would be like today had Hillary been president for 4 years... surely the racism and hatred would not have been normalized at the top!

What the f@(& anymore? I mean really. How are we just always moving backwards lately? It's utterly ridiculous.
And it boggles my mind to see Kanye and Kyrie spreading this kind of hate around. Good grief, this country already has enough power resting in the hands of prejudiced old, rich, straight, "Christian" white men. The rest of us should be banding together, not lashing against one another. What the hell is their problem?

Kyrie Irving is a complete asshole - I’ve never cared for him and this just adds to the pile of crap that is Kyrie.

It is disgusting and disheartening. I haven't heard my students using antisemitic phrases but with all the other racist shit I overhear, I'm sure it will be there sooner or later.

I had a 3rd grader choose “Ye” as his Kahoot! Nickname during a continents and oceans review on Friday. I made him change it before I’d run the game/review. I don’t think he even understood the issue - he chose it because he thought Kanye is cool. Student is Chinese-American - born there - so not even white or Black.

I’m beginning to feel like we have time-traveled back to the 1930s. I have not heard anyone that I know say anything anti-Semitic , but you bet your ass that if I do, I will be all over it. 😡

I was happy to see Peloton refusing to play Ye's music on their platform. And in my class today, the instructor was doing "shout outs" (where they call out to people who are having birthdays and/or milestones on the tread) and someone had "don't take my Yeezys" as part of their name - and he said "They did you a favor." Small things like that will make a difference. We just need people to step up and speak.

SO disheartening. I thought we were past all that. I know there are always going to be people who are racist, misogynist, [fill in the blank], but it's too many people. This is really scary.

Yeah, my son (biracial black/white for those who don't have the spreadsheet handy) has seen a dramatic uptick in the number of slurs he is exposed to, both directed at him and at others. It does coincide with his middle school years, so some of it is likely attributable to that age, as well, but I don't think it was this bad previously. Of course, as epeanymous pointed out, I guess it was just people staying quiet until it became socially acceptable again. Anyone who thinks any "ism" is gone is just kidding themselves. Apparently we are still a disgusting society in many, many ways.

Exactly. Ten or fifteen years ago, I remember thinking, "All of that hate, that prejudice, could not have simply disappeared." Lo and behold, it was bubbling just below the surface, waiting for permission to infect our society. I can't believe we are here.

Yeah, I remember years discussing with my kids saying it would take a older generational die off to kill it, as if it wasn't spoken it wasn't learned and parrotted. They suggested that "sorry, mom but your generation would have to go too". I volunteered as tribute.😉 Seems we were both probably wrong. It hadn't been unspoken at all. Just unspoken Publicly, waiting to be safe for them again. "Safe for them again" how ironic is that!? They need to feel safe again to spread hate, making it unsafe for others.

Wonder where they got that idea. So true. I always thought it was better. It was shocking to see it was only kept quiet and hidden. Their voice is so loud now. But there are more of us who will not tolerate hate speech of any kind. We just need to be a bit louder and increase clarity of the message. 1st ammendment is not an “i can say whatever” right. It’s an “i can say whatever and the govt will not retaliate for criticism”. People are missing the point. Words and actions do have consequences.

What the f@(& anymore? I mean really. How are we just always moving backwards lately? It's utterly ridiculous. It is SO ridiculous... my poor sister went to a college football game over the weekend with her boyfriend. His son got drunk and out of control. She was so shocked by his language (mainly N word) and how he was acting and dad trying to reign him in then apparently the son didn't remember any of it. In dating son's dad for over 2 years she never saw his son act like this. She is still shell shocked and not even sure what to do. Nothing's been said at this point. (but it will)
