Super easy. You supply your own postcards and postage. Order postcards from Amazon. I got mine the next day. If you haven’t written them before, you need to email them a writing sample to be an approved writer. You then send a text to receive addresses. The runoff postcards are three sentences long. It goes really fast. It only let me get 50 addresses, so 50 postcards. You might be able to do more. Herschel Walker has no business being a senator. postcardstovoters.org/volunteer/

And Raphael Warnock is genuinely a good guy and a great Senator. He’s charming, compassionate, articulate, intelligent, well spoken and hard working. He’s especially passionate about voting rights. His maiden speech in the Senate in early 2021 was truly inspiring. And he worked really hard to pass the insulin cap over the summer.

Thanks for this info. I’ve never done postcards before. Do we know if they really help?

Thanks for this info. I’ve never done postcards before. Do we know if they really help? I don’t know if any studies have been done. I do remember reading somewhere (can’t remember the source) that writing postcards and letters helps a small percentage. Maybe 2%-3%. I don’t remember exactly how much, but it wasn’t 1%. But, given how close these elections are, that small percentage can mean a lot.

Many years ago a Rep spoke to my group. He said that someone who takes the time to write shows they are willing to put time and effort to convey their feelings on a vote. Therefore he paid attention to what those people had to say.
In today's world, who knows? Why would voters in Georgia really care what someone from another state has to say? I am shocked that Hershal's candidacy is even taken seriously when the man obviously has had too many blows to his head.

I’ve been getting multiple texts and emails from this campaign to the degree it’s becoming annoying. I’m just going to send money. I know we have the majority now with Kamala as the tie breaker. It’s just that Walker has no business in government.

Thanks for this info. I’ve never done postcards before. Do we know if they really help? I did a few sets for Moms Rising in 2020. They provided the postcards and then I mailed them back to them for postage and mailing. I think the idea is that is a card is handwritten, it is more likely to be read. The ones I did were trying to get women who werent consistent voters to go vote. Electing Warnock in important, so it cant hurt to do the cards if you want to purchase the supplies.

HW is about the closest thing to a half-wit I've ever seen in American politics but I guess, this project is more productive than going around crying rigged rigged rigged. Thanks for the information. My older boys are 20 and 23. Both of them received handwritten cards encouraging them to vote. I thought it was a nice touch. (both of them did vote by absentee ballot)

Thanks for this info. I’ve never done postcards before. Do we know if they really help? They really do!~ I was part of a large local effort in which my friend Carolyn got a total of 14 thousand cards written and sent by our mutual local friends. My neighbors on our tiny cul-de-sac and I sent 600 postcards. Some friends donated $$ to purchase the cards, I and others donated hundreds of stamps to help people write them who didn't have the means but had the time/ willingness. Those efforts were for the 2020 election - and somewhere/some entity deemed the huge nationwide effort organized by Reclaim Our Vote to have made the difference in getting both Rev Warnock and Jon Ossoff elected then. We also subsequently wrote postcards for the GA runoff election and various midterm elections this year. Reclaim our Vote folks have a current effort for this year's runoff in GA as well. The difference between this effort and the one shared here by sideways, is that hers is easier for each of us to participate. The Reclaim our Vote involved Carolyn printing and printing lists of labels and names/addresses and putting them in packs of 50. It was a huge job. Here, thanks to the info provide by sideways (THANK YOU!!!) we can all choose to participate relatively pain-free. I found it rewarding to write the cards... and do believe it is an effective way of helping the cause! I'm just back from my recent travels and am about to order the postcards from Amazon. I'll get some extras to pass along to friends too. Dear Peas, PLEASE HELP US GET REV. WARNOCK elected!!!

A group of friends and I have been writing postcards, and will do some for the GA runoff. Leading up to Nov 8, I did about 200. Definitely tedious, but so worthwhile! Thanks, sideways and flanz for getting the word out!

Please do not dismiss the importance of this race because Dems have the Senate majority. We need to make Manchin and Simena irrelevant. And our map looks awful for 2024 and we need every single seat we can get.
Thanks for starting this thread. I've been writing postcards for several elections now and even if the effort supplies minimal results, it gives an introvert like me a way to contribute and feel hopeful.

I’ve never heard of writing postcards for elections. I’m one that doesn’t read any of the mail from any candidate. As soon as I see what it is, into the garbage it goes. I don’t know anyone who reads that mail. We (me, family, and friends) research the candidates’ backgrounds, beliefs, and political stance to educate ourselves rather than rely on ads and mailers.

Thanks, everyone. I will volunteer, then! I should be able to manage writing postcards. Yay! Thank you! I texted for addresses and ordered postcards on Thursday, got the postcards and started writing on Friday, worked on them on and off all weekend in between doing other stuff, finished writing and addressing today, mailing tomorrow. This was the easiest postcard campaign I’ve ever done.

I don’t know anyone who reads that mail. We (me, family, and friends) research the candidates’ backgrounds, beliefs, and political stance to educate ourselves rather than rely on ads and mailers. The postcards my boys received were not from a candidate or for a particular candidate, they were just handwritten notes encouraging them to vote. These are similar, just to targeted groups. from the website Postcards to Voters are friendly, handwritten reminders from volunteers to targeted voters giving Democrats a winning edge in close, key races coast to coast.
I imagine most people in Georgia have already made a decision. Whichever party turns out the bigger vote will be the winner. Stacey Abrams came through last time, I hope she can again. eta - from the website Is there any evidence to indicate that mail-based campaigns make a real difference at the ballot box?
Yes! Political scientists have conducted dozens of experiments on the effect of direct mail and find that, on average, mailers increase turnout when they use “messages that emphasize civic duty or the importance of making one’s voice heard” (Gerber and Green 2015, pg. 58). Additional evidence also shows that making the interaction feel personalized, rather than just a blanket message from an organization, is key to increasing the effectiveness of voter outreach.

Friends, PLEASE consider writing and sending at least 20 cards!
Here are the instructions I received after signing up on the link shared in the OP.
► Welcome! There are three easy steps to becoming an approved volunteer writer with Postcards to Voters. Step One Write the following onto a postcard: You have a second chance to help make history. Vote to re-elect Senator Warnock in the Dec. 6 runoff. From jobs to justice, he fights for your priorities. Step Two Use a smartphone camera to take a clear photo of your handwritten sample message. Attach it to your reply to this email or send it in a new email message to us at: Postcards@TonyTheDemocrat.org Step Three In your email to us, tell us that you understand and agree to follow our rules (listed below). And tell us how many postcards you can write and mail within the next three days. (We'll send you that many voters' addresses and they will need to be written and mailed within three days.) ► What happens after you email us a photo of your handwritten sample postcard? We will read your reply and evaluate your sample written message for legibility and accuracy. We are a nationwide grassroots effort with over 129,000 volunteers just like you. It might take us a bit answer. We will write back as soon as we're able. New volunteers often have questions about what they can and should not do. Here are the rules which every volunteer writer follows: Handwrite your postcards legibly. Both the message and the address must be written by hand on each card individually. No exceptions for any reason. Use cards that are inclusive. If you buy, print, or make postcards, the images/graphics/photos and wording/quotes/slogans should be issue-neutral/benign/safe. Do not depict any holiday. Mail completed postcards daily and complete them as quickly as possible by the listed deadline (no more than 3 days total) to allow your assigned voters time to plan to vote. Only sign your first name or initials. Do not include your return address, email address, last name, or social media handle or account name. Only write to each voter once. Do not contact the voters again for any reason. Cover addresses before taking photos. If you share digital photos of your cards on social media, always cover voters' addresses. Keep cards looking grassroots-like. Do not print the candidate's campaign's logos/graphics/images/photos on the cards. Do not scan one handwritten card and reproduce by machine. Stick to the talking points. Do not add new facts/instructions/warnings/anything not listed as an approved message item. Ask us if you have questions. Click here to read our FAQs. Email us for any questions not answered there. Our email address is: Postcards@TonyTheDemocrat.org Have fun!
