I would like to get some hot chocolate mix for a friend who is lactose intolerant. She misses it but says most non-dairy hot chocolate tastes like crap. I was wondering if anyone had any good recommendations?

I buy Camino Simply Dark and most of the family likes it. I make it with oat milk.
I also like the drinking chocolate from our local chocolate maker- it's usually just dark chocolate and spices, if you have a local shop.

I use extra creamy oat milk and cocoa powder with a splash of almond vanilla creamer. Dissolve the cocoa in a small amount of hot water and add a pinch of espresso powder, then add the milk and sweeten to taste.
I can’t say how it compares, but I’m happy.

Momo Cocoa! I know the person who makes it and we’ve enjoyed it. It’s vegan. She sells it in the Portland area but also ships from her website.

Penzey's hot chocolate. They also have one with mint. Both are awesome, made with your favorite milk substitute or lactose free milk.
