On my Amazon wish list: hexagonal blank cards for art; ugg slippers; beginner tarot cards/book; a new phone case. I try to keep the requests pretty simple and inexpensive.
For my birthday, my husband gave me a portable Sonos speaker for when I sit out back all summer. That was a very useful gift for me.

We now draw names among the adults in the family with all of us still buying for the children. The Elfster app makes it easy. My wishlist has a Shun chef’s knife, a handprinted tablecloth and napkin set off Etsy to fit my new really long dining room table, and a wireless charger mount for my cellphone in the car. That Elster site is a great idea. Thanks for sharing!

Well, spend enough all year on functional items so Christmas is all out fun things. This year I would like and be happy with just one or two of these things; - PS5 (probably not since they are hard to get and I have PS4 Pro) - Mac Mini with two 4k monitors - Video games
- New gaming headphones
- Lego - A house cleaner for a year - A Golf Cart - Mirrorless Camera body - Adobe CS subscription (have at work but would like at home) - Dr Marten's boots - Dark Blue

My husband just asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I have no idea. I've been so busy getting everyone else's gift. I just bought myself some new prints and frames for the living room and 2 Raskog carts from Ikea for my craft room. I just buy what I want. I use the library for books/audiobooks. I have a surplus of new puzzles.
I just want to live a peaceful, quiet life with time to do the things I enjoy. That's it. Can we box it up?

After getting my oil changed, I found out I need new tires and really I knew I should since they weren't great in rain the past month. Merry Christmas and Ho Ho Hum. LOL

Some crocs to wear around the house on weekends. I know, I know. I have a love/hate relationship with crocs. I know what you’re saying! Back when they first came out, I hate, hate, HATED them. And yet I too have come full circle. First I bought a pair of the Croc Freesail clogs to wear at the lake where I’m constantly around the water, because they look less Croc-y than the traditional clunky Crocs. Liked them and ended up buying a second pair for home because they’re easy to quickly slide on to take the dog out a million times a day. Then it started getting cold out so I thought hmm, maybe a lined pair would be nice. I bought what I thought could be slippers but they’re actually more like really low winter boots. Liked them for taking the dog out, going to the mailbox, etc. but they’re not slippers. Now they’re my go-to slide on boots if there isn’t too much snow. I was still looking for slippers because I never walk around my house barefoot or only in socks. This year I found some rainbow tie dye colored fleece lined traditional Crocs on Woot! for super cheap. Didn’t matter that they’re ugly because they’ll never leave the house. Yeah. Since they showed up, if I’m in my house they’re pretty much always on my feet. 🤦🏻♀️ It’s a disease.

a stripology ruler (for quilting) Nanner, have you used one? I tried one and don't care for it - I made the Interwoven pattern and the author really recommended it as you need perfect 1 1/2 inch strips to make everything fit. I tried it but just could not get the hang of it. People love it, I hope you do too. I can see the benefits. I just want to live a peaceful, quiet life with time to do the things I enjoy. That's it. Can we box it up? Amen. If you figure out how to box that up let me know. That's really all I want too.

You know, people keep asking me that, and I'm having trouble finding things I want. Either I'm spoiled or I have just lost interest in too many things. Maybe it's both. I think as a society we generally buy whatever we want or need whenever we want so there isnt much to ask for at Christmas. Also, when I was a kid, you would say you wanted a sweater, for example. And someone would go pick out a sweater for you and you would be happy to have it. Now everyone's wants are very specific, so it isnt as much fun to pick things out either. I don’t know about that. My husband is definitely like that but I am not. My DD is not. I’m trying to be more like him because gifting is not one of DH’s strong points. He figures that because HE just goes and buys whatever he wants, I should feel free to do the same but I never do. I agonize over everything, even if it isn’t something expensive. It’s a huge catch-22. I know he will never buy for me the things I really want and I really hesitate to just buy them for myself. I can make lists all day long and he will not shop from a list. He’s not good at picking up hints, or paying attention when someone sees something they like and comments on it. He doesn’t want to shop, period. After years and years of things being really lopsided (meaning he gets everything he wants and I get nothing) I have been trying to be more proactive with just buying for myself the things I want (within reason) and writing him out of the equation. It’s just better than me hoping he will step up this time only to end up disappointed yet again. It’s less fun but more satisfying, if that makes any sense. As far as DD (12) goes, she asks for almost nothing. It’s hard getting her to make a wish list. She doesn’t feel like she should ever ask for anything expensive. I have to pay close attention to the things she looks at, shows me or comments on. I mostly end up buying her clothes (50/50 chance she will wear what I pick and I know her better than anyone), gift cards for the online games she plays or books I think she will like based on other books she has liked in the past. Experience gifts are tricky because we’re gone a lot on the weekends which means we’re busier than usual during the week. Her dad has no clue what to give her and relies 100% on me to figure it out. To answer the OP, I have a King Arthur cookie cookbook sitting in my Amazon cart that I’ll probably end up ordering. There are some Lego sets I like, but I have three bigger sets still sitting in their boxes unopened in my studio because I haven’t cleared off a space to assemble them. I’d like to get a free motion quilting foot for my sewing machine to use to quilt fabric for sewing purses but I need to do a little more research on that to see if it will work the way I think it should. I’d really like an Etsy gift card so I can order the clip art and Procreate brush sets I like when the mood strikes. Good chocolate is always well received.

I would love for my family to spend time teaching me how do work my phone and computer. I haven't put pictures on my computer in years! I used to do it all the time with picassa but they went out of business or something so we had to switch to something else. My husband says it's exactly the same, but I can't get it to work. I am so stupid when it comes to stuff like this. So, I want to learn how to put pictures from my camera to my computer. From my phone to my computer. From my computer and phone to an external hard drive. Those are fee, but a pain for my family because it's like teaching a 100 yr. old! But those would be perfect gifts for me and I would be so happy!

I finally, finally just gave up on him "getting it", and started buying for myself what I really wanted. He loves me, he's a good man, he just doesn't shop. If you can hold out Amazon typically offers 50% off a book as we get closer to Black Friday.

We don’t usually do gifts, but this year I’m asking for a case of wine from my favorite winery in PA since we won’t be going down there next year.

So far my DH bought me a MacBook Air, new knobs for cabinets surrounding fireplace, and a handheld clothes steamer. J/K I bought them all for myself. We've been married over 55 years and haven't bought Christmas gifts for each other in decades. If we want something, we just buy it. Not once has he ever disapproved of what I have bought. I love to give but don't care about receiving. Love reading what everyone else is requesting. I may have to do more shopping.

We were just raised differently, that’s what it boils down to.

I have the worst time thinking of things. DH was raised making Christmas lists and I wasn't. It still is funny to see him come up with 20 things he would want and I am sitting here thinking of nothing. The one thing I have come up with so far is I would love to paint our bedroom this winter. It doesn't "need" it but I don't love the color it is and have wanted something different since we moved in 4 years ago.

I want a new chair for my home desk; A small rack to hold some vinyls in my bedroom; An electric throw; Maybe a keurig for my office so I can brew one lonely cup of coffee without leaving. I hated them until I recently had a vacation rental with a reusable k-cup and think that was acceptable .

I picked a nice sweater out of a catalog for my mom to get me because she is a catalog shopper.
