a stripology ruler (for quilting) Nanner , have you used one? I tried one and don't care for it - I made the Interwoven pattern and the author really recommended it as you need perfect 1 1/2 inch strips to make everything fit. I tried it but just could not get the hang of it. People love it, I hope you do too. I can see the benefits. I just want to live a peaceful, quiet life with time to do the things I enjoy. That's it. Can we box it up? Amen. If you figure out how to box that up let me know. That's really all I want too. I haven't. Maybe I should find someone who has one I can try first!

No, I am really bad with that kind of thing. I need one on one help! If I was smarter, I would for sure try that. But me and computers/cell phones just don't work well. But I have used you tube to learn new recipes and cleaning tips! It can be a great resource. I promise you if you can follow a YouTube recipe you can do the same for downloading photos! Have some faith in yourself! Haha, if you knew me you would have no faith in my downloading abilities! But maybe I will give it a try! Thank you!

I have a few puzzles on my wish list. That's about it. I have to go through it and remove stuff. Otherwise MIL will give me something that I added 5 years ago and my needs/wants have changed since then.
What I really want is a good contractor and money to pay him to build another bathroom, remodel the current one, maybe do something in the basement, build a second story deck off the back of the house, add onto the garage, and build the deck that dh doesn't want to. Oh and maybe put a dormer window on the east side of the upstairs. I'd love to get a little more natural light in the hallway.

I told DH I would like my truck detailed...it is so gross since we have been traveling a lot with the dogs. I also want a locking truck bed cover and new motorcycle helmet.

We are going to Disney for marathon weekend in January so I told the kids I don’t need anything. I did tell them I would love to have my car detailed, it’s a wreck and needs a good deep cleaning. Of course DS26 is like I can do that myself and save money which translates to it will never get done. Then I told DH that’s what I wanted and he goes so go make an appt and have it done. Dude, not the point.
Other than that just a few books, The Light We Carry by Michelle Obama, Running While Black by Alison Mariella Désir, and Running with a Police Escort by Jill Grunenwald.

I haven't. Maybe I should find someone who has one I can try first! I highly recommend that. Maybe Its just me, but it felt like there was enough of a learning curve with it to make it not worth it to me. Those who "get it" love it.

Nothing. We only do gifts for the grandkids. We have found taking the pressure of gift buying for the adults off the table Christmas is much more enjoyable.

I have an amazon list that I keep going all the time. Whenever I come across something interesting I'd like to have, I put it on there. Stops me from impulse buying and then later if someone asks for something I'd like, I have things in mind (or if I decide I want to treat myself to something!). My list now has:
A nice set of matching kitchen utensils A pretty heated blanket A pretty set of flameless candles in glass containers Owala water bottle (can use as open or straw sip with one lid) A small UV nail kit and nail sets Shoes (knock off Rothy's) Boots Hot rollers

Those stripology rulers are around $100 here. I'll check with a couple of quilting friends to see if they have them. We're supposed to be having another crafting week in January and ask them to bring one if we do have it.

I would love for my family to spend time teaching me how do work my phone and computer. I haven't put pictures on my computer in years! I used to do it all the time with picassa but they went out of business or something so we had to switch to something else. My husband says it's exactly the same, but I can't get it to work. I am so stupid when it comes to stuff like this. So, I want to learn how to put pictures from my camera to my computer. From my phone to my computer. From my computer and phone to an external hard drive. Those are fee, but a pain for my family because it's like teaching a 100 yr. old! But those would be perfect gifts for me and I would be so happy! My mom has asked for the same sort of help as a gift. As the "giver" it can be frustrating, but I also think it is lovely to have that time together.

You know, people keep asking me that, and I'm having trouble finding things I want. Either I'm spoiled or I have just lost interest in too many things. Maybe it's both. I think as a society we generally buy whatever we want or need whenever we want so there isnt much to ask for at Christmas. Also, when I was a kid, you would say you wanted a sweater, for example. And someone would go pick out a sweater for you and you would be happy to have it. Now everyone's wants are very specific, so it isnt as much fun to pick things out either. That's me and my husband. We don't care about gifts at Christmas. We buy what we need and want for ourselves. We actually check out Black Friday deals more for what we need in the home. So our Christmas is a knife set.😃 I'll probably get myself something, but I really need to declutter before bringing more crap into my home.

I would like to get a new coffee machine, as I am the only one in the family actually drinking it. My semi-new Kuerig has been acting up, not every cup of coffee was hot. I called them and I am getting a replacement brand new Kuerig! Pays to register on the site. You can have my old one, it works okay but I have to heat the mugs with hot water before brewing each cup of coffee.

I need to add a laptop to my list. Mine is barely limping along. I can do most stuff but it's just not up to what I really want to do these days.

I often ask for an experience or something helpful for around the house. Like pull out drawers for my cabinets or new glass shades for a chandelier. Things I want but aren’t a priority to spend our money on at the time. Watching and hoping to get a few ideas. I can’t think of anything I want or need. I bought a few things during Prime days that I will give my husband to wrap lol. The laneige lip masks, shower steamers and a couple Hallmark Christmas DVDs. What about tickets to see a sporting event, concert, or a play? Or maybe for a museum visit or other attraction in your area? You get to have a fun experience and spend more time with whoever gave you the gift. Plus nothing to display, store or keep clean. I have a short list: a stripology ruler (for quilting) 1 cup souper cubes I love our Souper Cubes. Every time a recipe calls for a broth we make extra and store in various quantities (including 2T). We also do this with cream and things like orange or pineapple juice. So helpful!

Haha I have asked several times before (birthdays, Mothers Days, Christmas). My kids say I should get an iphone because it's much more user friendly for people like me. I am considering it!
My parents are almost as bad as me at figuring this stuff out and I just can't help them. They got a new printer months ago and are having such a hard time getting it set up.

We don’t usually do gifts, but this year I’m asking for a case of wine from my favorite winery in PA since we won’t be going down there next year. What is your favorite PA winery? We are always looking to try a new one.

Maxine page-a-day calendar (it’s tradition), coconut Pattie’s (original, orange and pina colada flavors), sweater and furniture shaver, Vanilla Bean Noel lotion and pocket hand sanitizers, and zero waste cap for pump lotions, etc. I also ask for a small surprise. I believe everyone should have at least one surprise for Christmas.

I have the mini and XL stripology rulers I purchased earlier this year. Game changer for quilting! Slight learning curve on inserting the rotary cutter into the slots, but nothing hard. I can cut out a quilt much quicker now. Yes they are expensive, but look for a sale (what I did). At Quilt Festival I had the opportunity to meet and chat with Gudrun Erla, who developed the rulers for Creative Grids. Check out her website - GE Designs. She also has an active YouTube channel.
