Hubby told me this morning that he would love a Britbox subscription for Christmas. I see that I can subscribe directly through Britbox or through Amazon Prime. Is there a difference in subscribing one way or the other? I was thinking through Prime it would be easier but is it the same? Thanks!

I’m subscribed through Amazon. Makes browsing easier since it’s all in one place.

I have all of mine through Prime. One thing I would do is I were you. Wait until Black Friday or keep an eye on Amazon. I got Paramount+ and Acorn during one of the Prime Day sales. It was 99 cents for a month, 2 months? I can't remember. ETA: I just checked it is the same price no matter how you sign up. Through BB or Prime.

I get mine through Prime because I can manage it through my Amazon acct. also I switch monthly subscriptions often. I might have Britbox 3 months, switch to Masterpiece or any other one that has a shows I want to see and I am not committed to anything for a year.

I go directly through Britbox. I subscribe for a year but there is an option for a monthly subscription. Sometimes episodes drop on Britbox but are delayed a few days if you go via Amazon prime.

So, with just over a month to Christmas, you have a husband who wants something and
Doesn't buy it for himself Tells you what he wants You don't have to leave the house to buy it It won't sell out
Sigh...

Is a Britbox a monthly sub to all things British? I wonder if I can get a lot of the stuff at home seeing how I live in Victoria, BC. I mean our crumpets are amazing.

BBC and ITV originally licensed/contracted Netflix to stream most of their content and then decided to form their own streaming service. As contracts expired, content was removed from Netflix and only available through BritBox. As someone who watched A LOT of British crime series, I was disappointed and resisted subscribing to yet another streaming service. I caved with no regrets in the end.

Lol! Patter, he is a real person right? Not an imaginary husband. 😂 I read Dh the riot act recently because I am tired of buying something for him for Christmas only to have him purchase it on his own the following week.

I found an article from last year dated 11/24 announcing a bunch of Black Friday subscription deals. Amazon had a Britbox deal. Since you have some time, you might wait until next weekend to see if you can get a better price.

I subscribe through Britbox. I did a deal for something like $5/month. I love it. I’ll have to look into subscribing through Amazon. Never knew I could do that!
