Hi everyone! I'm getting a few things delivered today including my standing lamp for my living room ... no idea if it will come with a light bulb My girlfriend is coming over this afternoon to help me tackle the second bedroom that has become a catch all for stuff ... we need to fill the bookcase and put away towels and move stuff into a more organized fashion ... oh, and make the bed so that visitors can sleep in there! My new microwave cart showed up yesterday! I hired a guy to build it because I knew I could never do it! Here it is: Dinner tonight will be whatever my girlfriend wants! I hope you are all doing well today! What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Have a great Saturday everybody!

Love the barn-door cart, leannec ! DS will arrive this afternoon to spend Thanksgiving week with us. LSU plays tonight at 6PM (8PM CDT) which is later than usual. We'll have Chicken Noodle Soup for dinner. Enjoy your weekend dear tribe-mates! I love this meme because my high school mascot was a Bee!

Happy Saturday my tribe mates!
I am starting to feel life returning to my body. DH is still moaning and being the typical male. :-) I'm trying to get something accomplished while I do have a little energy and he wants me to sit and pamper him. It's starting to wear on me. But it will be fine, he'll get better and life will resume.
Another day of undecided dinner here.
Wishing everyone a great day!

Hi the weather is still amazing and we are having a great time. We are moving tomorrow so it’s our last full day here.
I think we are having tacos for dinner. I hope so because they were sure good the first time. We are going to olde town today. We will eat something for lunch there. I am totally surprised how much Spanish I can speak. I had no idea I knew that much but it’s almost as good as my Japanese. That was a shock! Remember I cannot read anymore and am innumerate. I am fun on vacation though!

Today was normal Saturday. Grocery shopping this morning and then a trip to the hardware store to replace the battery on our vacuum cleaner. This afternoon has been lazy - football (various types!) on TV and me working on my knitting.
DH is in charge of weekend meals here, and he has made bolognaise sauce and Spanish lentils. The spaghetti bolognaise will be dinner tonight and the lentils will be for tomorrow, as they are something that needs the time to sit and mature. There will be leftovers of both, which is good because he is out for dinner three times this coming week, so I won’t have to cook much.

Hi Everyone, leannec Your microwave cart is cute! Have fun unpacking with your friend. cadoodlebug Enjoy having your DS home for the week. And have fun watching the game. Your meme is funny. Delta Dawn I hope your last day in Puerta Vallerata is great. austnscrapaddict Sorry that you and your DH have been so ill. I hope both of you feel better soon. sueg Your spaghetti bolognese sounds delicious. Today, I am changing my sheets, vacuuming and taking the rest of the day to relax. DH is still not feeling well. It’s a cold, windy day in the 30’s here.

Happy Saturday!
I’m staying inside today. It’s currently 29 degrees and the win is fierce.
Watching football and making Christmas cards. Perfect day to me,
DD and granddaughters are coming over in a bit. I think the holidays are going to be really hard for her(she’s going thru a divorce). I’ll talk her into staying for dinner.
I think we’ll have pizza tonight.

Babysitting the grandboys today. The little one is down for a nap, the other two are watching a movie and the dog is napping. Woke up with a stuffy nose and sneezing like crazy. Told DIL in case she didn’t want me to babysit but she wasn’t concerned with me spreading the crud to the kids so here I am!
lostinspace: We are really hoping that the estate doesn’t take years to complete. MIL had no house, no cars, no investments - just a couple bank accounts. The bank is giving us the run around and the lawyer is on vacation. It’s just frustrating but whatever.
Not sure what’s for supper yet. Perhaps DH will decide.

Good morning. I really like your microwave cart, leannec. cadoodlebug, I enjoyed your meme, a lot. Of course, one of the bees could stop and ask for directions, but they're male. Mil is stronger and we're bringing in a different Hospice who painted a much better picture. Today is mil care and puzzle w/sil. Not sure what I'm making for dinner. I'll need sil to help me choose something mil will eat. She doesn't like garlic or onions. I don't get it. Enjoy today, my lovelies.

BIG FLUFFY SNOW I like when the 1st snowfall is so pretty. Very little if any wind, just light fluffy white snow. Looks so pretty outside. I was out earlier and it isn't difficult to drive in, as the roads are so warm that the snow melts on the pavement. Went to the local quilt store open house. I only purchased a few things, unlike at a different quilt store 2 weeks ago. I just all of the fabric , so pretty. Dinner will probably be breakfast for dinner. taylortroop ~~ with so few assets and probably not a huge sum of money, this shouldn't go to probate. Care to mention the bank, as I used to work at one. So silly for this holdup.

taylortroop, I hope it's just allergies and that you aren't getting sick. I'm going to make Tarragon chicken, roasted broccoli and rice pilaf. If mom just wants steamed rice I'll make that instead. There is also salad. That was must-read-news. NOT!

no idea if it will come with a light bulb I will be seriously shocked it it does. We are knocking a few things off the to-do list, cut DH's hair and I'm getting ready to set up a little production line on the dining room table to make Christmas cards. Heading out with friends tonight for dinner and to hear all about their adventures in Europe for the last couple months. I had a bit of a teaser when I saw her at the yoga class yesterday and it looks like they will be moving, which has me a little sad.

lostinspace: The bank accounts are a few thousand over the limit for it to go to probate. The bank manager tried to push it through without probate but wasn’t successful. The frustration is that no one informed us that it needed to go to probate and they knew a couple weeks ago. Now the lawyer is on vacation which delays it even further and there are backlogs in the court system. It is what it is, we will have to be patient. I prefer not to mention which bank it is. At this point, it doesn’t matter.

We went to a 40th birthday at a pub - they hired out the function room up top. Lots of yummy finger food, my favourite! I ate waaaaaaaay too much.
I have come to a realisation that there is quite a big generational gap between people in their late 30s / early 40s, and those of us in our 50s. If I went to a 50th or 60th, the DJ would be playing music that gets a lot of people out on the dance floor - songs from the 60s, 70s and 80s. The DJ last night was playing night club music, and hardly anyone was dancing. Well, not until they got quite drunk anyway!

Happy Saturday!!
I got out a little today thanks to Kait. She took me to JoAnns so I could get supplies for a gift I want to make for my friend.
We also went to lunch. Ate more than I’m used to so probably won’t eat dinner.
Stopped by mil’s as my hubs and his sister continue to clean out the house. I feel like such a deadbeat that I can’t help with my surgery restrictions. They are exhausted, there has been a lot of emotions from the girls. Dj says sometimes he feels like a referee. Tits been a lot, but this too will pass.

we had a great lunch at a middle eastern cafe and pizza for dinner. when I was skiing in the pacific northwest we often would get 5-8 ft of snow over two days at the ski area.. we would go out into the parking lot late sunday and probe with poles to find the cars to dig out.. it would be a party.. everyone teamed up to be sure you got your car out and started.
we got 1100 inches of snow one season. cumulative...
