I need something easy (and prefer not to do a standard veggie/fruit try). And portable. Cold or something that can travel/stay warm in a crock pot from 6 am until noon.
All suggestions welcome, but if you have any vegetarian options, that's great.
I'll also be making cupcakes for the party and have a huge family holiday party a few days later so I'll be very pressed for time and rather stressed.

Super fast and easy. Keep warm in the crockpot.
CRANBERRY MEATBALLS
INGREDIENTS
1 2 lb bag frozen pre-cooked meatballs I recommend turkey meatballs
1 12 ounce bottle chili sauce
1 14 ounce can jellied cranberry sauce
2 tablespoons orange juice
1 tablespoon brown sugar
optional: 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
INSTRUCTIONS Place the cranberry sauce in a bowl and microwave at 45 second intervals until just melted.
Whisk in the chili sauce, orange juice and brown sugar; stir until mostly smooth.
Place the meatballs in a slow cooker and pour the sauce over them.
Cook for 4 hours on LOW then serve, topped with parsley if desired.

Can you do the above with store bought vegetarian "meat"balls? I suspect that would be popular with the vegetarians.
Cheese platter? Could you have a cooler with some cheeses in it and then plate it before serving, maybe adding some nuts or dried fruit to the plate?

-Meatballs in grape jelly/chili sauce (or whatever version floats your boat) -Cocktail wienies in BBQ sauce -layered taco dip with tortilla chips.
Those are some of the easiest ones I can think of.

This is super easy and is good. I sub a bag of real bacon pieces if I am in a rush. Neiman Marcus Dip

Caprese skewers Christmas tree shaped cheese - either cuts or cheeseball (Pinterest - there are a ton of cute ones) ETA: I think my mom serves the million dollar dip above as a cheese ball. Spinach dip in crock pot Buffalo chicken dip Crab points - English muffins with old English and crab meat (google this, I promise they’re delicious and so easy!) The old standby - frozen shrimp from Sam’s club - can’t get much easier as long as you remember to thaw them 😊

Caprese skewers or for something different melon and prosciutto skewers - easy and transport well. Pinwheels are easy as well and can be served cold. You can make them with a sheet of puff pastry and layer of cream cheese/spinach/feta/dill, roll, slice and bake. Or layer different colored large tortillas with a few fillings (cream cheese & salsa or jalapenos, spinach & feta, ham & cheese, etc.). Use green tortillas for the vegetarian option to keep it simple. The filling possibilities are endless. A refried bean & salsa filling would work for vegans.

I made deviled eggs for our party last week and came home with an empty dish so they went over well.

A friend and I made that exact recipe a couple weeks ago (except used puff pastry dough) as a dry run for our (separate) thanksgivings. We each tried a bite and tossed the rest. It was a waste of very good, $ Brie in both our opinions. YMMV.

Block of cream cheese and pour a bunch of raspberry chipotle sauce over the top. Serve with wheat thins to dip. Easy and good.
