Hi everyone! I am going to brave Best Buy today and buy a new TV! I need to have the Geek Squad come to my place to install it and take away my old one so in person shopping is necessary I will also spend some time online Christmas shopping because we have less than a month to go! I posted this on Facebook today ... condo life is interesting ... I hardly ever see anyone ... most people who live here are seniors who keep to themselves or professionals who work long hours ... I did meet a really cute guy in the elevator a couple of days ago ... I hope I see him again! Dinner is up in the air ... I have a teacher friend coming over to see my new place and if he stays for dinner we will have to decide what we want. What are your plans for the day? What is on your menu? Have a great Saturday everybody!

leannec I am the complete opposite. I have claustrophobia and am fearful of elevators so I appreciate when someone rides along with me. In college I got stuck in one of the library's elevators. U was going to 6th floor and it stopped between 4 and 5. Then started to go down. Then up. Then down and was then stuck between ground and 2. I was in full blown panic as I hit the damn bell and called out. Someone started to push the up button at ground and it went back down to them and opened. I used the stairs from then on no matter how high I had to go. Yeah. LOL

Last night ended up being In n Out. Yum!
Tonight is chicken, green beans, cranberry sauce, asparagus, and rice.
Putting the tree up with minimal ornaments and only the train underneath.
Milo is still a puppy even at (estimated) 1.5 yrs of age.
We start classes next month! UT he is learning quickly.
So much better on the leash. Understands potty time. Loves to play with toys. Learning to not jump over the stairs gate (dude has hops!), not to whine in crate, and to sit and stay when door is opening.
Working on Toby and Milo getting comfortable with each other as well as sit and wait until released to eat.
Did have 1 snarl guarding issue between the 2 at dinner last night. But other than that they just sniff each other and do their thing.

Just a normal Saturday here. DH did the grocery shopping this morning while I went for a walk. A bit of football this afternoon (Go Aussies!!), then we went into the city to the Christmas Markets. We had a Glühwein while walking around one of the smaller markets (in a courtyard of the Old Palace), then went to the main market near the Town Hall to buy some fruit bread and stollen - some for us and some to take back when we go.
Home now and DH is starting on dinner. Tonight is 'chicken pasta' and that is all I know.

We’re having rechauffe turkey in some form, possibly sandwiches. Looking forward to an easy meal.
I'm going to scrapbook today. I also need to make two cards because I somehow managed to lose two, or I miscounted five times!!

I wanted to be on the main level so that I wouldn't have to deal with a broken down elevator and all of my groceries!

Hi tonight we are having teppanyaki which you might know as hibachi grill with sushi. Our reservation is not until 9 and that was the best I could do. We leave tomorrow and have had a great time. The weather has been perfect and the food was great and the people sure appreciate you speaking Spanish to them. Keep in mind my spanish is 35 years old but I can carry on a 10 minute conversation now so that is cool.
I am searching for a red dress to wear on Canada Day but got a couple of white ones to wear just the same.

We are hitting the road for a little day trip. A Temecula Olive Oil store will be one destination as we support small businesses today and pick up a few gifts along with supplies for us.
I'm not sure where we will eat, but having lunch somewhere while out means I won't be cooking tonight. The guys will probably finish off the leftovers and I'll start thinking about groceries and menu plan for the next few days.
Before the end of the day, I hope to have the tree in place and the foyer loaded with Christmas decoration bins.

Having a pretty slow day here. Stayed up last night watching Purdue basketball. The game started at 11:45pm.
I’m dragging out Christmas decorations. Hopefully I’ll get it done today and tomorrow.
Watching Clemson football with my dad right now. Going to watch Purdue later.
Beautiful day here so I’m fixing steaks on the grill and baked potatoes tonight.

Hi friends! Long time no chat. We are having haluski and steak for dinner tonight. Whirlwind trip to see family for Thanksgiving. My mom had the stomach flu, so we just saw my father in law, sister in law, her husband, and our little nephew. I had Sheetz for dinner for Thanksgiving because I don't eat at FIL's for a number of reasons. I'm still tired from our drive home yesterday afternoon/evening, so it's been a mostly relaxing day.

Beautiful sunny day, hard to remember that last Saturday was a snow-storm day.
I had a hair appointment and cut off the "Covid growth hair". Decided that the longer hair wasn't for me. It is now just above shoulder length and will be more manageable. So happy and had a wonderful time with my friend, who is my hairdresser.
I went grocery shopping and have lots of "ingredients" but now need to prepare a meal. Not sure what is for dinner, probably breakfast for dinner.
Working hard on my quilting projects that will be Christmas gifts. I should have them done on time!

Dinner is just over, I made a turkey pie using up gravy, I used the leftover mashed potato as the top "crust" and added in the leftover stuffing....There is still more turkey, so I think I will boil the remains and meat for soup. I may freeze that as I am pretty much turkeyed out...although DH did a fabulous job grilling that on the rotisserie .

Dh will not ride an elevator unless he really doesn't have a choice. Elevator phobia is real and I don't blame you. I hate escalators, but I ride them. They go too fast.
I'm still shopping for a phone, because I am just too frugal to spend the money. I hate my phone and really need a new one. Also, I'm black Friday shopping for puzzles and cricut accessories, all from my recliner, of course. I do not do in person shopping w/crowds and parking lots. As I do every year on Black Friday weekend I look for bargains and then don't buy a thing. DOH!
Mil is back at her apartment and I'm under the covers, waiting for bedtime. She has caregivers and we'll be there often, as well. Dinner is rechauffe from a weeks worth of meals, including Thanksgiving. No one will starve.

Came back from the lake. My dh & dd went to the OSU/Mich game.
We had pizza because no one wants anymore thanksgiving rechauffe.
I’ve been filling online shopping carts all weekend. Bought a few things but not much.

Well. My mom has COVID again. I’m kind of ticked off at her because she had dinner on Monday night with some woman who tested positive on Tuesday. So then did she warn anyone? Nooooo. She spent all day Wednesday at my brother’s, helping prep Thanksgiving, then Thursday exposing a bunch of us (me, my stepsister and her kids who flew in for the weekend, my brother’s friends) at my brother’s Thanksgiving. Now she’s sick (not so sick I can’t be annoyed) and the rest of us probably will be in a couple of days, too. Anyway, I’m staying here to keep an eye on her tonight/tomorrow. Of course I’ll take her to the hospital if she gets worse, but she’s breathing fine for now and her fever is under control with Tylenol. She’s just dozing a lot. Dinner is whatever her place sends up. She doesn’t feel like eating, but if she changes her mind, they send so much food, there’s enough for both of us anyway. My neighbor brought over a TON of turkey, gravy, stuffing, and potatoes this afternoon. She was cooking for a crowd today, but a bunch of them have COVID, too, and canceled. So that’s in my fridge at home. Also: I’ve been Black Friday shopping all week. Apparently I’m on a first-name basis with most of my regular craft-shopping spots now. Like, two dozen of them. I even ordered some gifts for family, too!

I don't want to *like* this, but will acknowledge that this was a really horrible thing that your mom did. I hope that you & anyone who was with you at TG don't get Covid. Enjoy your shopping. My cc is getting a bit hot, so I stopped shopping. Only gifts for me.

I hope your mom recovers quickly, lucyg, and you, and everyone else exposed, don't get sick. I can't believe she didn't say anything and stay home.

For whatever it’s worth, you all, she is 93.5yo, and in pretty good shape, but apparently she did not really think through this exposure stuff. Some of those lights are blinking off, I guess. leannec quiltz bc2ca

lucyg I hope you somehow avoid getting sick. I’m glad your mom is doing ok too. What are some craft sites? I’m almost positive I’m getting a new Cricut and I want to be prepared.
