Hi everyone! My mum and I went to Best Buy yesterday and bought a new TV! It's 65 inches which is only half and inch bigger than my current one ... got helped right away so we were in and out and dropped $2000. . Geek Squad will come on December 10th to set it up and take away my old one. I'm meeting my mum for breakfast soon ... weekly thing now! Later, my mum, Emma and Molly are coming over to decorate my Christmas tree and around the house ... I have a huge number of Rubbermaid boxes in my laundry room ... gotta find the Christmas ones ... good thing Molly is tall! I posted this on Facebook today ... I definitely went up in the world with this new TV, hehehehehehe!!!! Dinner tonight will be takeout of some sort before or after we decorate ... could be Chinese food ... could be pizza ... I'll let everyone else decide! What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Have a relaxing Sunday everybody!

Yay for a new TV leannec ! DS will be going home this morning so I'll start my decorating after that. Not sure what's for dinner, I need to grocery shopping now that all the leftovers have been eaten.

Tonight is vegetable soup with streusel pumpkin muffins.
Going to finish my last few cards for the swap and get them ready to be labeled. Sending out first week of December.

Regular, quiet Sunday here. Church this morning, then home for lunch. Since then, DH has gone into work to set up for the week and is also delivering wine from our delivery on Thursday to his colleagues who also ordered. I went out for a walk - it is getting rather cold here, no snow yet but a heavy frost this morning - so I am going out later when it sort of warms up.
Dinner tonight is raclette. After dinner, football, as Germany has a ‘must win’ game at 8pm our time.

Good morning my lovely tribe. Sil and I are going to meet my bff, his hubby and cute golden retriever at a comfort food restaurant and then we're off to the dog park. They're moving to Europe in a few months, so sil and I need to grab every chance we can to see them. We've been bff's since we were in Junior high. Then it's home to relax and find some cyber Monday deals to look for tmw. Dinner is rechauffe, because we have so many leftovers that I cannot even shop, because nothing else will fit. Enjoy your new tv, leannec when it's delivered. We have a huge tv and I must say that it's great when watching baseball or football and movies.

scrapmaven, how long is your SIL in town for? DS just drove away and I always get a little sad. Then we get back in our routine and look forward to his next visit. Bless his heart, while DH and I were walking this morning, he took all the Christmas boxes from the closet in *his* room down to the living room so I can start decorating.

Well we had teppan yaki last night and it was awful. Even our terrible teppan place at home is better than that. Oh well. We will probably go for Mexican for lunch today. I am hungry already because we got up very early. That wasn’t necessary but did anyway. I was fetching coffee for us at 7 when the restaurant at the top opens. We have had an amazing time and I had a whole week with the kids!

The kids are having Chinese tonight and I’m having turkey soup (my choice).
Today is ds’s 28th birthday. We’re having ice cream cake after dinner and then I’m back on my diet until Christmas!

Happy Sunday!
We took my parents out for brunch. Stopped by DS new house. They have almost everything moved out of our house. It was so strange this morning to wake up on a Sunday to no noise coming from the basement and our grandsons.
I am going to decorate the Christmas tree that we put on our screened in porch then settle in to watch Purdue basketball.
DD and YDS are coming over for dinner. They wanted to see their grandparents before they leave.
Dinner is burgers on the grill.

I made the best chilli for the young adults. I put it all together yesterday and today the flavours were amazing! I put in sweet corn that was so fresh when it was frozen. Added a touch of sweetness to the heat of the chilli. I also made the Red Lobster biscuits to go with the chilli, along with sour cream, shredded cheese and nacho chips. I had a huge ceaser salad, oranges & bananas and homemade cookies for dessert. I told them to divide the leftovers (if any) and take home all the fruit and cookies.
I had made dozens of cookies in one day in early October, put them in Ziplocs and only took out what was needed each week for dessert. I have added brownies, rice krispie squares and cupcakes in-between. The cookies stayed very fresh in the freezer but now it is time for them to go. Only 2 more Sundays left in 2022 for me to make meals for this group. On the 18th, the whole church is having brunch after the main service, so no cooking.
I have found a spice mix at Costco ~~~ Garlic Everything and it truly adds a *everything* to whatever I put in it. The selection of canned chillies is difficult in Ontario, Canada. Only a few years ago, I started seeing Rotel in the grocery store.
I usually go to Aldi's, Tops and Wegmans to get the canned chillies and other items when I go *over the river* to shop.
Rainy day but there is a juried craft show at the convention center. Going there in a little bit.

I’m still at my mom’s. She is much better than yesterday, but still sick. I’m planning to stay here again tonight, but hoping to get home for a shower/change of clothes at some point. If my brother doesn’t bring us turkey soup, I will pick up something while I’m out. Have a peaceful Sunday, you all.

scrapmaven enjoy your outing. Sounds fun! lucyg I'm so sorry she has Covid again. I hope you don't get it. I've been absent as it's just been busy. It was great to have DS home and the little pumpkin gave him the rock star treatment. He left this morning. Makes it easier knowing Christmas break is right around the corner. DH came down sick right before Thanksgiving. So far not Covid. He will take a 3rd test today. So DS and I went to my in-laws for dinner and brought him back leftovers. It was fun. Tonight we will have chicken and white bean chili with tortilla strips and salad.

DH and I went to a friends 60th birthday last night. We had dinner out before we went and did a bit of shopping as well.
It was a rainy day today and I always say that rainy days are “reading days”. So most of the day has been spent reading although I did vacuum, dust and play a couple games of ping pong with DH.
Dentist appointment tomorrow morning. Arrgg.. . I hate the dentist.
Supper tonight is mac and cheese with leftover steak in it.

Hi I have an issue. I am eating 1000 calorie meals and I ate breakfast and lunch today. Lunch was tons of protein with a few carbs. I am famished again and it’s not even close to dinner time. I know I exercise a lot but I am always hungry. I don’t eat empty carbs usually but occasionally will have rice or pasta with a meal. I dislike quinoa and lentils. I need help and am not seeing a dietician because the put everyone here on plant based diet s and I eat enough plants already. ((Two friends talked to someone and they were useless.) Ideas? Tell me what more to eat and less exercise is not an option either.

There was no dinner to be had in the AussieMeg household on Sunday night. DD and I went out for lunch with the mums and the firstborn kids from our Mother's Group, to celebrate their 25th birthdays. ~ I was too full from lunch to eat dinner ~ DD went to her boyfriend's house for dinner ~ DSO fell asleep ~ DS is in QLD on his "Schoolies" trip

I'm not sure where this day has gone. I'm a little distracted by the news one of DD(25)'s classmates was widowed this week. It isn't a surprise as her DH has fought leukemia for years and I knew he was involved in a clinical trial, but just so incredibly sad. Our tree is in place and DH removed/replaced the lights that didn't work. It is looking a little scraggly after 17 years and this will likely be its last Christmas. I'm not sure where we will be next year, but think I'll be looking at the after Christmas sales for something smaller and narrower. I've been working away on cards and should have them all in the mail by the end of the month. Happy birthday to your DS, KelleeM ! I'm joining you on the diet until Christmas plan. I've enjoyed every mouthful of stuffing over the last few days, but need to put a hard stop on the simple carbs so will kind of follow a Whole30 plan over the next few weeks. Dinner tonight will be baked tilapia and asparagus with a rainbow slaw (red & green cabbage and shredded carrots) using the last of a orange juice/ginger marinade made for Thanksgiving carrots. Rice for the carbivores.

They had just had their 1st child (3 months old) when the husband was riding his motorcycle and was hit. That was the summer when it seemed like everyone had either had their 1st child or were pregnant with their 1st child. This will be difficult for everyone because this young woman has just survived or is surviving a huge trauma. hugs.

I saw a nutritionist and she was very helpful not only with how many calories to take in a day but ideas for foods due to allergies. I actually have to take in over the 1500 recommended daily intake to help with weight loss. Your body will freak out with only 1k especially with exercise.

Allergies, illness, Celiac disease can cause that. As well as labs for all thyroid screens? I had Grave's disease and no matter what I ate, I lost weight. And was always hungry. I didn't have energy to exercise though as I was always tired.

I mean i was going for physio and now I am great. I just need tons of food 🤣.
