I started strong. Goal was to go through my lovely open pantry and discard everything out of date and generally tidy.
Cleaned off the shelf liner for the second shelf and my back seized. I finished two tiers (of 4) and had to give it up.
Three hours later with muscle relaxer onboard and I'm still in major pain.
At least the pantry is 2/4 complete.

That's so frustrating. I hope you feel better soon.
And I really like your positive outlook on what was accomplished. 👍😁

Sorry about the back.
Unfortunately, the pantry will be waiting for your recovery!

I feel like there’s a lesson/warning here for all of us! (I’m sorry you are in such pain! I’ve wrenched my back doing the simplest things in the past.)

I’m sorry, I know how frustrating that is! The mind is willing. But the body? Not so much. Sounds like you got a lot done though!

I sympathize! I was putting some candles away yesterday and pinched a nerve in my neck as I was reaching for one.

I thought about cleaning out the pantry and getting it all squared away and neat again and then I thought "WHY??"
It will be back to a disorganized mess in a matter of days, two weeks max.
I just decided I didn't want to waste my time and effort for three other grown ass adults (granted two are 22 &24) that can't seem to put things back where they belong.
I am lowering my standards to lessen my stress in 2023.

That really stinks! I need to go through mine too, it’s gotten way out of control and there’s so much stuff that needs to be purged. My kid is a good one for eating half a box of cereal, crackers or something and then getting sick of it so the rest sits there until it gets stale and nasty. Multiply that by a whole cabinet full of stuff and you see the problem.

I was shoveling today and it was half snow half slush. About midway I wondered if I'd make it. I feel your pain. Your pantry will be there when you feel petter. Just relax as best you can.

Hope you feel better soon.
I would rather have an injury that prevented me from finishing a chore rather than preventing me from something fun, so I'm not taking the risk and my pantry will remain a bit cluttered .

Ugh - feel better soon! All I did a month ago was “stand up” and my back said “not today” lol. Aging sucks!
I do need to do a cupboard clear out - we don’t have a pantry but the food cupboards definitely need a once over.

RATS! I'm frustrated for you. I hope feel better soon.
That reminds me that my own pantry needs a straightening/organization.

Can I join you in the frustration? Only mine is "man" made. They mess it back up faster than I can finish. LOL

Pantry is finished! Back still tight, but heating pad and flexeril are helping. Way too much wasted expired food. Looks awesome and hopefully will remain that way.
I went to the market and when I got home, DH had purged the tupperware drawer! What a nice surprise.

I went to the market and when I got home, DH had purged the tupperware drawer! What a nice surprise. Glad you were able to get some relief and finish the project. I was lining the kitchen drawers in my new house 2 years ago and aggravated an unknown disc extrusion that required surgery 3 months later. Still have residual numbness and a dropped toe from it.
