Has anyone tried HungryRoot?
We have been using Hello Fresh on and off for the past year and do enjoy it, but want to try something else for a change.
Hungry Root appeals to us because of the healthy options and a bit more flexibility in meals, but want some "real world" reviews before we give it a try.
If you have tried it, what is your opinion?
TIA
Also, I know the Australians think the name of the company is hilarious!

I've been using Hungryroot for a few months now (along with HelloFresh) and I do like Hungryroot. The dinner recipes can be on the healthier side, and the variety is large. I like they offer seafood options on a regular basis.
One thing I've found I don't like is that some of their recipes include vegan sauces that ae made of ground cashew (for example) and the texture is not pleasing (to me) and the flavor is not what I like. So I'm careful to check the recipe ingredients to avoid those sauces.
The grocery part of Hungryroot is awesome. All the vegetables and fruits I've ordered have been fresh. The pantry and snacks are really good too. And Hungryroot sends a free item in each box. You can choose one of their vegan cookie doughs (which are really tasty when eaten as dough, kinda weird when baked like cookies) or a protein (I've received chili lime chicken breasts, beef stew pieces, and more).
Hungryroot is expensive compared to other meal services however since I've been using them I have NOT had to go to the grocery store for things other than coffee creamer, bread, etc.

Yes. My daughter worked for them for a little while and we started ordering from them. We liked it - everything was fresh and healthy and pretty tasty. It's pretty pricey though.

I thought it was expensive and not that great, especially since it's essentially a grocery service with suggested recipes. It just wasn't for me. I prefer meal services that come closer to being done.

LOL, I was going to say that the company name wouldn't fly here! Or, maybe it would! Please explain! Root is Australian slang for having sex. So it would be like having a company name HungryScrew or HungrySex.
