I'm looking for one of those mini-trampolines, also called a "rebounder" (I'd never heard the term but that's what someone called it on FB). I'm on Amazon and there are a million different ones, all with some reviews that say "excellent quality, I love this mini-trampoline" and then "awful quality" for the same product. I need reviews from real people who have used one. I'd like one with a handle bar because without that I'm sure I would fall right off and break something. And if it could fold up that would be a bonus because our house is small, plus I'd want to use it in front of the TV but I will have to store it somewhere else than the room where the TV is. Anyone here used one? I just got back from a walk and I hated every minute of it. ugh. I'm trying to think of something to do at home that looks like sort-of fun so that I don't need to leave the house. Also, if you search on Amazon for these things so many of the images come up with a young person doing mid-air splits while holding onto the bar and with a huge smile on her face. um... hahahahahahaha Just picturing me doing a mid-air split.

I know all the images you are describing. I was looking into one last year, but like you, saw too many contradicting reviews. There’s a company that specializes in them but they were far too pricey for what I needed. If you settle on one, or if anyone else has any ideas, I’ll look into it as well.

It was a fun novelty for 5 minutes then lived in the basement for decades until grandchildren came along and it would get pulled into their backyard for the toddlers to bounce on. I mean, if you hate walking, I just don't see how you are going to enjoy bouncing.

A few years ago, I learned about rebounding and the great exercise it can be. And, it’s good for the lymph system, and as a breast cancer survivor, that’s a bonus for me! I just bought a model at Academy because I couldn’t decide also. It wasn’t very expensive. I thought if I found that I really used it a lot, I would get more serious. Mine has exposed springs and all. I mostly use it in the winter. And it seems fine for my purposes.

And I can do it while watching something on TV.

Academy is a sports store near me. It’s a chain. I’m sorry, I don’t know the brand of rebounder. It’s really basic though. There are some YouTube videos for workouts. And it’s supposed to give you a good workout in less time.

Here is my review of them...
Ds weighs 122 pounds and is pretty much solid muscle with a little fat. He is 5'4.
The boy can bounce. And I mean bounce.
He went through 3 mini trampolines aka rebounder in 1 months time.
The weight max was 300 pounds on all 3. One broke after a week and we were given a new one. 2 springs broke.
The 3rd was a different brand that we tried after the 2nd one lasted 4 days. This 3rd lasted maybe 2 weeks.
It was used daily. All He did was bounce up and down. Several times a day.
The 3rd one was quite expensive and springs broke as well as the feet area. It ripped. Ds hurt himself with that one.

I get the indoor thing, but think you would have more success with a bike or treadmill if you want to watch TV. IME, you have to pay much more attention to where your feet are on a trampoline/rebounder than the other options. Before investing, I'd try doing 30 minutes of bouncy exercises (knee lifts, jumping jacks, twists, etc.) a few times a week in front of the TV and see how it works for you.

I dragged it home, used it once and put it on the curb. Someone picked it up and they probably used it once and then got rid of it.😂

I have a JumpSport with a bar and a Bellicon without. I LOVE LOVE LOVE them both and HIGHLY recommend rebounding to anyone - It's a FANTASTIC workout! I do Barre Bounce (Suzanne Bowen) on the JumpSport and Bellicon Live with the Bellicon. It is FUN to work out and VERY good for you
