I am SO excited, and SO nervous! I have been wanting this for years. I will be a whole new person for my 50th birthday! Surgery is set for late March.
I want to thank all of you that have given me advice, and shared your stories. You really helped me make my decision.
Here we go!

My older sister had this done. She said it was life changing and that she should have done it many years before she finally did. She was getting major back and shoulder pain and infections underneath her breasts that she just couldn't get cleared up. She was miserable.
She did say that the recovery took longer than she thought it would take. I hope you will be able to have all the time you need to pamper yourself until you are fully healed! How exciting for you!

I think you'll be really glad about this! I had my reduction at age 38 and it was a life-changer. I wish everyone who needed it could have it done. Hope you have an easy recovery and heal up great!

Yay, I'm sharing your excitement. I just went thru this in Nov. I feel almost normal now. I did it because of neck/back pain and losing a lot of weight. They are smaller than I kinda wanted but I knew from the start they would be smaller per the dr. BUT I feel good and it's so much fun buying pretty little bras.

Yay! I had mine done in September and I feel so good! I seriously can’t believe I have little(ish) boobs now and wear a medium size shirt. It has helped my back pain tremendously, and I am so, so glad I had it done. Best of luck to you—I hope it all goes perfectly!

I had mine this past May - a week before I turned 53. It was the best thing I ever did!
My back pain, overall pain went away within days. I was shocked how quickly, even with the swelling I could tell so quickly.
Did they give you an idea of how much they will be removing? I ended up having 4 cups on each side removed. The doctor said it was approx the same weight as a quart of milk on each side.
For the most part my pain was minimal. I slept in a recliner for the first 2 weeks, moved into my bed with a pillow under my sides after that. I had chest tubes for almost 2 weeks. They were stupid and annoying but I was surprised the didn't hurt coming out.
The biggest thing I wish I would have done or talked about with my doctor...lift at the same time as the reduction. While I love being a size big B/small C...I still am droopy. I wish I would have talked about a lift as well.
If you have any questions please message me.

Best thing I ever did for myself. I had 10 pounds removed yep you read that right. Follow every direction the doctor gives you afterwards. No stretching no reaching don’t pick anything up. If you have any questions feel free to post them here I’m sure one of us can answer them

If I remember correctly, it was 350 on the left and 450 on the right…I think. I will be having a lift, as well as side boob removed, and it’s included in the price. And, yes, thank you for your information. I’ll let you know if anything comes to mind!

Oh and my center of gravity was way off after surgery. You’re so used to having so much weight in front of you that the first time I got in the shower was weird.
Mine was done in a hospital and I stayed overnight. I would say I was exhausted for like three weeks but I think that also could’ve been my age I was 52 at the time. My neck and back pain was gone as soon as I woke up

No overnight stay for me because insurance isn’t covering it. It’s outpatient, which I’m a bit nervous about.

It has been 4.5 years now, so I am comfortable is saying those indentations are permanent.

Don’t be nervous I probably could’ve gone home but I had the option to stay overnight so I did. Oh and don’t forget that anesthesia and pain meds cause horrible constipation. Colace will be your friend
