It's that time of year again >> Girl Scout Cookies!
What's your favorite?
I love the "Thanks a lot". Shortbread with one side covered with chocolate.

I like Tagalongs and thin mints. I like the taste of Tagalongs more but can eat more thin mints before I feel sick, so they tie. Lol

I still call them caramel DeLites because that was the name when I sold them. Samoas?
Tagalongs were called peanut butter patties

Trefoils are my absolute favorite, but Peanut Butter Patties (that have been in the fridge) are a close second.

The peanut butter and chocolate ones were my favorite but I broke a tooth on one 23 years ago and haven't had one since.

I like the peanut butter sandwich ones, Dosidos I think? And Samoas.
Can't wait til I see the little pushers, I mean, Girl Scouts outside the grocery stores!

Samoas (I still call them Carmel Delights) and FROZEN Thin Mints. Girl Scout leader for years and I still have PTSD (kidding, kind of) about booth sales!

I don't really love any of them, but I always buy them to support the cute kids at my door. If you knock, I will buy and just ordered 6 boxes on Sunday.
I asked if there were new flavors and was told there was a raspberry-filled thin mint. However, it's only available if you order online in our area.

Gotta go with Thin Mints. And though I’m not someone who can usually eat a large amount of cookies/sweets in one sitting, a sleeve of Thin Mints goes down real easy. I can’t stop eating them once I start!

I still call them caramel DeLites because that was the name when I sold them. Samoas? Tagalongs were called peanut butter patties there are two bakeries that make GS cookies - so some areas use one and some the other. One bakery's version is Samoas and Tagalongs, the other (slightly different recipe) is Caramel Delites and Peanut Butter patties. similarly -there are cookies both bakeries supply (like Thin Mints and trefoils - although recipes vary a little) and cookies that are unique to one or the other - the S'more cookies released a couple of years ago are completely different bakery to bakery. The new raspberry one looks like a thin mint but is raspberry not mint. It'll only be sold online and it's pretty good having had a sample.

trefoils.. my 4 troop members in high school sold over 1000 boxes each year to fund their trips. at the same time, I was at 90% of the booths with them.. (no online in those days) and all selling was at booths. I was the day to day coordinator for our local city.. a database of 3000 booth slots.. (3 hr shift on one location--booth slot)..
I am happy to support local scouts with an order for the "give the cookies to someone else program" and a few boxes of most varieties. our local sales have been pushed to late march/april.

Trefoils are my absolute favorite, but Peanut Butter Patties (that have been in the fridge) are a close second. Did the Trefoils used to have granulated sugar on them? I feel like they did but I bought a box last year and they don't now (if they ever did).

Thin Mints stored in the freezer, and eaten directly out of the freezer. Oh man, I need some now.

We are storing the cookie inventory for dd's troup. I was worried that it would be super tempting but so far it hasn't bothered me. At some point I will have some Samoas and stash a box or two of Thin Mints in the freezer.
Several people here sampled the raspberry cookie and didn't care for it.

My old standby was always Do-si-do's but the S'mores cookies gave me life last year when I had them. I made the mistake of only ordering one box because I was unsure about them since it was my first try. I did not make the same mistake this year.

Caramel deLights/Samoas, though the toffee one is lovely as well.
The Trefoils/shortbread never had sugar on them in my 40+ year Girl Scout cookie memory.

Thin Mints, Samoas and the S’mores ones, but the S’mores would be better with a thicker layer of marshmallow, IMO.
I bought about five bags of the mint chocolate Sweet Tooth Fairy candy melts at Michael’s. I’m going to try making my own Thin Mints. I also bought a square silicone mold for making chocolate covered s’mores. I have nothing against Girl Scouts but dang, the price keeps going up and the boxes keep getting smaller. I would much rather just give the troop a donation outright.

My favorite (S'mores, the square ones covered in chocolate) was discontinued so I'm not feeling the GS love.
