...... while Durham was investigating in the Russia mess . Italy had proof of other crimes. We knew Barr had met Durham in Italy and I also think in Australia too?!? Bill Barr asked Italian officials to discredit Russia probe — they responded with evidence linking Trump to crimesBrad Reed January 26, 2023 A new report from the New York Times details how former Attorney General Bill Barr's efforts to discredit the probe into the Trump campaign's contacts with Russian agents completely floundered. One particularly telling section of the Times' story involves a trip that Barr made to Italy in order to push officials in that country for evidence that the Russia investigation was part of an elaborate setup designed to damage former President Donald Trump politically.
The Italian officials responded by offering evidence of wrongdoing of a very different sort.Italian officials... unexpectedly offered a potentially explosive tip linking Mr. Trump to certain suspected financial crimes," the Times reports. "Mr. Barr and [former special counsel John] Durham decided that the tip was too serious and credible to ignore. But rather than assign it to another prosecutor, Mr. Barr had Mr. Durham investigate the matter himself."Durham never filed charges based on the tip the Italian officials gave and it's not clear just how closely he probed the purported evidence into Trump's prospective financial crimes. Durham's probe into the Trump-Russia investigation ended with a whimper last year when he lost cases against former Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann and Russia analyst Igor Danchenko, both of whom he had accused of lying to the FBI. www.rawstory.com/bill-barr-2659315495/

Apparently the investigation was not buried. It surfaced in the fall of 2019, however there were no details about the alleged crimes and most thought it was involving the 'Russia' probe NOT TFG!!

Is this shit just never going to stop? And once again, a certain segment of our population will not give a flying f*ck about this.

Is this shit just never going to stop? And once again, a certain segment of our population will not give a flying f*ck about this. No, it won't. I suspect we'll be getting evidence of his life of crime in drips for years. And, no, they won't. That segment of the population ignored what was plain evidence of his decades of lies & sliminess, because they didn't care (or applauded his having "gotten over on the system"). They will continue to ignore it because changing now would mean admitting they were wrong (on which they follow his lead, and never do, demonstrating a lack of moral courage, responsibility, and maturity).

MSNBC Ari Melber just said something very interesting. Just think, Barr had the power of his office, DOJ, intel etc behind him, and he still failed!

So.... Durham has damaged his career ... "So friends,” Kirschner adds via his podcast, “with today’s verdict in a federal courtroom in Virginia we may have found an actual witch hunt.” Bill Barr appointed this guy, John Durham,” Kirschner explained, “to investigate the investigators who were investigating Trump’s crimes. If that doesn’t sound like a corrupt Attorney General, protecting a criminal president, I don’t know what does.” *** "Durham must be put through a rigorous ethics probe. Having been given his thankless task by Bill Barr is no excuse for pursuing phantoms and shadows to exact partisan revenge,” he added, in response to a tweet from former top DOJ official Andrew Weissman. Weissman had said: “Durham was not candid when he told the Virginia jury that Mueller found no evidence of collusion. And he charged an alleged false statement that the court found was actually true. Based on the govt’ s own witnesses. How is Durham not subject to an ethics probe?” “I reiterate,” says former Asst. U.S. Attorney at SDNY, Richard Signorelli. “John Durham has inexplicably destroyed a once stellar reputation in service to Trump/Barr. This will be his legacy.”Former federal prosecutor Renato Mariotti observes, “Many federal prosecutors have lost fewer trials in their entire career than John Durham lost in the past year alone. It is apparent that his judgment is poor and that he overcharged these cases. His use of the legally meaningless ‘no collusion’ phrase at trial betrays his bias.” *** An FBI agent, The Times reported, “denounced the exposure by the Trump Justice Department of Igor Danchenko, who was an F.B.I. informant but is now on trial on charges of lying to investigators.” “This doesn’t just hurt the exposed source,” Strzok lamented. “It hurts the ability of the FBI to recruit sources far into the future, especially those related to Russia. That of course was the point. Shame on Bill Barr. Shame on FBI leadership for sacrificing sources for political survival.” www.rawstory.com/top-legal-experts-call-for-ethics-probe-into-bill-barrs-handpicked-special-counsel-john-durham/

It just never fucking ends. Corruption on such a massive scale, it’s hard to remain hopeful that justice will ever be served.
I’ll keep on praying for Divine justice. It seems like the list of humans we can trust in positions of power who care about morals, ethics and integrity shrinks on the daily.

But but but..Hunter Biden! 😂😂 Honestly. “But Hunter’s laptop” has replaced “but, Hillary’s emails” because after Trump’s stint/stunts in office that doesn’t have traction any more. We should come up with a pool to guess the next GOP deflection catch phrase.

I just read the NY Times article that brought all this up.
It just leaves one shaking their head. The article is in the second post and it’s I guess is a “gift” so there is no paywall.
If you haven’t read it, it’s worth the read.

Whatever happened to you follow the evidence wherever it takes you by law enforcement? Isn’t that what you are suppose to do is follow the evidence to wherever it takes you?
The more one reads what went on with the Mueller report and that guy Durham it’s becoming clear the one thing they didn’t do is follow the evidence to wherever it takes you. I’m including Mueller because they were specifically told not to follow the money. trump had money problems for years and that should have been on the top of the laundry list of things to check. But yet Mueller was told specifically not to. Why?

We still need to remember the FBI guy McGonigal(?) was messing with the Mueller investigation .. was working with the Russians. It is getting more interconnected. Russia Russia was all started in 2016/2017.. so the FBI was nailed recently, was rogue for FIVE years... *** Indeed, McGonigal was one of the chief instigators of the now-infamous “Crossfire Hurricane” probe into Trump and his circle that found zilch: He sent the email that set off the whole shebang!Bonus irony: Both dossier author Christopher Steele and FusionGPS, the firm that hired him to do it, also did work for Deripaska. The only way this could get more incestuous is if these names popped up in that ex-intel-officials’ domestic disinformation campaign to paint Hunter Biden’s 100% real laptop as a Russian op. The FBI is the nation’s chief law enforcement agency, with a vast remit and huge powers. Its naked politicization is bad enough; that it should’ve been pointing the “Russia” finger at itself instead of Trump is beyond appalling. Those House Republican investigators sure face a target-rich environment. nypost.com/2023/01/24/the-ugly-irony-of-the-mcgonigal-arrest-the-fbi-chased-the-wrong-russians/

We should come up with a pool to guess the next GOP deflection catch phrase. ‘Fill in the blank’ did it too! “Both sides” are corrupt, both sides lie. What about ‘ fill in the blank’ What about, what about, both sides both sides. Etc etc etc IOKIYAR I do predict that eventually we will get a national round of “Corey Booker doesn’t live in his Newark home, he’s barely there. He’s always in Washington.” Because doing the job we sent him to DC to do is somehow a crime? 🙄 I also think this is just the tip of the classified documents issues - on both sides 🤣 but that ought a cancel each other out & force the powers that be to make a better protocol but it won’t. It’ll be OKIYAR and a big to do if you’re not. Same shit different day.
