So, I have used Chewy for our pet meds for quite some time but I am becoming frustrated. My vet writes for a year but Chewy continually wants the prescrip sent in again when I order the next 6 month supply. There is no need, and it's time consuming for me and my vet. My vet will not fax so I have to go in and pick up the prescription.
I am thinking of using a different online pet pharmacy. Anyone have one that is reliable and will honor the refills?

I use Wedgewood for one of my cat’s medication. They give a discount for auto-refills, and I have no complaints whatsoever.

Does your vet have a recommendation? In our case, our vet recommends Chewy and will directly provide prescriptions to them without my intervention. Maybe there's another provider your vet is more cooperative with?

Unfortunately I can’t say how they work currently, but I used 1800PETMEDS for 5-6 years and they were incredible to work with. We had a lab who needed Adequan injections and I did them myself. I ordered the meds and syringe from them monthly. Once the shipment was delayed and they overnighted a second order with no charge for the expedited shipping. I also ordered our preventative meds from there as well.
I’d heard that they bought up expired prescriptions but never saw any evidence of that. Our meds were always well within their proper dates.

I've gotten pet meds at my local Wegmans pharmacy...where I get our people prescriptions.
I typically stick with Chewy, as my vet works directly with them without an issue.

Our vet uses Vetsource and they're great. Maybe you could ask your vet if they have any recommendations.
When Tucker was alive we used 1-800 Pet Meds for all his meds and they were also great.

I just use the Walmart pharmacy where we get the rest of our meds.
It just took several times explaining that he's. A. Cat. Yes, we have insurance, but he's. A. Cat.

Our vet is the same, its a PITA! I guess they stopped faxxing the rx bc it took up so much time, but the price difference was worth it to me. However, the last time my dog went up in weight so I had to get the new rx, and MAIL IT IN. Chewy reimbursed for the shipping, but i was like WTF??? Why can't I scan it? I guess too many people forge it. There is something screwy with your rx & Chewy tho - if it is written for a year, why don't they honor it? I use the chat function all the time and I would question that.

The chat never was helpful but really the phone calls haven't been either. My vet does not recommend any online service over the other. I have asked. They also don't carry what is prescribed for my boys. They write for it but don't carry it in the office. Love my vet office but man this getting meds has been a pain for WAY too long.

IMO, the key to to not hesitate. Pick your spot and go for it. If I’m remembering correctly, it was about half the cost of getting the shots in clinic. It really was a miracle drug and easily gave us another 2-3 years with our girl.

My husband has even been around to hear some of the conversations with their pharmacy. Wow! They have messed up countless times, and it's NOT hard what we need. I ended up ordering from PetMeds because I got 5% back from Rakuten, and I got $80 back with coupons. Can't beat that. Now we will see how it goes. I had to order 5 meds for my three dogs. Thanks everyone!
