I hosting a party for 2 (McD is coming over) and I’m stumped. What do people eat other than Buffalo wings (which we’re having). He’s no help. I keep asking what he likes and his response is anything I make. 😐
I was going to make guacamole and tortilla chips and plain chips with onion dip. That’s all I got. And it’s far from enough. Salad? Horderves (sp) Finger foods?
I would love to do a charcuterie board but for us it would be cheese only because he doesn’t eat pork.
Anyone else hosting? What are you making?

Weenies in bbq sauce or grape jelly/chili sauce (you could use all beef hot dogs) Swedish meatballs Fruit tray and/or veggies tray with dips Brownies or other sweets Mixed nuts Sliders -- lot of options -- cheeseburger, teriyaki chicken, those ham and cheese and poppyseed glaze ones Beef Jerky Chili

Growing up we either had Mexican or Chinese food. Everybso often pizza. But my mom would go all out with a huge stress to make tacos, tostadas, burritos, nachos. Or order from a favorite Chinese restaurant.
We change it up here. Chinese, Mexican, snacky hand held foods, salad bar...
I try to do things that can be prepped and easily cooked (or picked up) so we can eat as the game goes on. No set time to sit down and eat.

The last two years it was just DH and I. We just had finger type foods that I set out at half time. (West Coaster here, so half time = dinner time)
Deviled Eggs Meatball in BBQ sauce, cooked in Crockpot. Chx Nuggets (Trader Joe's Orange Chicken without the sauce) and a variety of dipping sauces - Ranch, BBQ, Honey Dijon, etc. Guacamole and homemade chips (flour tortillas cut up and sprayed with avocado oil and cooked in the air fryer) Small veggie tray (carrots, celery) Cookies

Forgot how much until right now and I’ll sure be making them on Sunday.

Just for the future, for the charcuterie board, would all beef sausage work. Also sliced turkey .

There's also turkey pepperoni. I haven't eaten real pepperoni in so long I couldn't tell you what it tasted like, but DH says turkey pepperoni is better.

I'll also mention the traditional buffalo wing chicken dip but cold and spread out on a tortilla. Then roll up the tortilla and slice it. I think it's better than the hot stuff out of the crock pot.

I'm bringing chicken satay on skewers to the SB party we're going to. I'm trying to keep it healthy, as so many appetizers are breaded, fried and cheesy.

My husband makes paella for the Super Bowl! That's what his family always has for Christmas dinner and we love it. Not typical Super Bowl food. We love appetizers, pigs in blankets, chips and queso. It's just the two of us as the kids are off at school, so we don't do much.

I agree with the poster that suggested to use turkey pepperoni if you're still considering doing a small board. It's very good!

We try to keep with foods that are easy to eat and can keep warm or be left out for a bit. In the past we have done:
Chili Sandwiches Nachos Veggie fry Deviled eggs (app) Wings Chips

Thai fried rice is different because the rice is fried to a slightly more firm texture than regular fried rice. Basil is used instead of bamboo shoots and crushed red pepper for more spice. Or you can cut up chilies.
I don’t know how to link from my phone but when I get home I’ll post the Jameson’s recipe. And a fried rice recipe too.

Do you think the Rotel Cups could be made with wonton wrappers? The other shells Walmart online only sells as a case.. I don't need that many! lol

The 2 of us are having pizza and chips. How much food do you need to watch a football game? Wellllll, never enough food for the Superbowl... in my opinion.. we like lots of options. Even if there were only 2, I would make several things but smaller portions... it's ALL about the food.. lol

I usually find the shells in a pack of 15 at the grocery store, near the pie crusts usually. I typically can't find them at Walmart though.
