Came into the kitchen to get coffee. Looked out the window to the deck (which is a mess because we never go out there in the winter) and saw this. Awwww

I love to see foxes. I use to see one often on my way home from work at midnight. It is one of the things I actually miss now that I am mostly working from home, not seeing all the cool animal sightings and other surprise things on my way home. I did see my little friend this fall, briefly, out behind my condo. Could not get a great picture like you did but he was so cute.

Awe! My eight year old would be in heaven and watch it till it moved. Lol. I’m still standing at the window. I ate my breakfast here. Hahaha. He moved once because he heard something, then went right back to sleep.

A lovely warm raised bed! We have a pair who visit our garden every night. At this time of year the vixens are screaming their passion! Noisy but we love them to bits.

The sack saying "raised bed" makes the photo even more delightful. How lucky you are to have the wildlife making themselves at home on your deck.

We have an online app/site called “NextDoor” in the USA. It is sort of a Facebook just for people in your neighborhood (within about a 5-mile radius for me). This time of year we have numerous threads started by people new to the area where they report a woman getting assaulted in the woods by their house. Then there are about 25 replies that it is a fox and it is mating season. I live in the same area as monklady123, and love the regular fox sightings while walking my dogs at night. We don’t have as many deer as we used to, but we have a healthy rabbit and fox population. monklady123, thank you for sharing those pictures! I hope that your friend makes your deck a regular rest stop. I too love that the “raised bed” label is showing in the pictures - it is perfect!

Well, in his defense it does say 'raised bed'! What a great photo. I wouldn't get a single thing done until he woke up and left for the day.

elaine -- I hope he comes back also! I told my dh not to move that mulch bag (which is leftover from last year anyway) because the fox might think it belongs to him now! Our raised bed tomatoes failed anyway, so we've given that up. haha Letting a fox have it to sleep on seems like a much better use for it.

There is (or was, I havent seent many posts about it lately on the UMD Reddit) a fox on the UMD College Park campus. Kids were taking pics and videos of it every day, before Xmas. Some got REALLY close to it, and encouraging others to call Animal Control. I wondered if the campus did something about it over winter break bc I hadn't seen much about it, or maybe it couldn't find food as abundantly as when the kids were there, but my DD did see it shortly after she returned....

♥️♥️♥️ this! No raised bed for them but I just posted photo of my kitty's new love that also hangs outside a window. In fact she staring down waiting for the bun to return right now as I type. We babysat my kid's bunny for a while, I wonder if she wonders if it's him.😂 http://instagram.com/p/Co3xy4ludaJ

I once spent entirely too much time figuring out why the same woman screams in the background of all of the British tv shows I watch.
