jeremysgirl my ortho did the injection and I had to wear a brace 24/7 (except showers and I took off during cooking). My braces came off Amazon. Tonight is pork chili.

destined2bmom I'm so sorry you all went through that. Glad it ended well. We went through a scare a few years ago and it aged me. Hugs to you.

I babysat the grand boys today for 3 hours between DIL going to work and DS getting home.
Walker is doing great. He slept all night in his crate and we got up at 6 am with him. He got lots of praise and some treats. I honestly didn’t realize that puppies are so like human babies - eat, poop, play, sleep and repeat.
Supper tonight is leftover pizza.

scrapmaven My dishwasher is located between the sink and the stove. I also CAG (actually in most things I do) I put things to clean in the sudsy sink and trash in the other sink. Clean up goes pretty fast until I get to the counter, sink and table. I first use Windex and follow up with a Lysol wipe.

Hey all
Still in hot sunny Florida! Spent the afternoon with my niece and her two boys. Huge bearded dragon/iguana showed up in the back trees. I’ll post a pic later. Boys thought it was cool.

destined2bmom I'm so sorry you all went through that. Glad it ended well. We went through a scare a few years ago and it aged me. Hugs to you. Sorry you went through it too, Marina! Just like ALLLL our other shootings, I keep thinking of the kids and staff who were there, plus, of course, the worried parents, other family, and friends who had to endure WAITING and not knowing what would happen. It's scary to think of how this might cause anxiety, fears, phobias, etc. Also, are there enough counselors/ therapists / support groups available to help the numbers of people who need them? Imagine just onevictim--- then add alllllll the parents, family members, friends grieving for each one. On a MUCH happier note, I'd love to see a pik of your velociraptor !!!! I honestly didn’t realize that puppies are so like human babies - eat, poop, play, sleep and repeat. Yes, but add in allll the TRAINING (exhausting, but rewarding). When I first told DH how often puppies needed to go outside, the look on his face was HILARIOUS!!! I'd love to see more piks of him, and I'll bet his puppy breath smells heavenly! Oooooh, I'm getting puppy feverrrrr !!!!

Thanks, jeremysgirl and scrappintoee. I don't really use a recipe, but this is how it comes together. I bought a pumpkin brioche loaf from Aldi (several in the fall and froze them), but if not avaliable, you can use a regular one and add canned pumpkin to the custard mixture. I cube it and set aside. (If I have other leftover bread I want to use, including stale pastries, burger buns, the heels of a loaf, cinnamon rolls, etc., I will cube those up along with it.) I mix several eggs (6-8?) with some dairy -- milk (between 1/2 and 1 cup?) or a mix of milk, leftover whipping cream, coffee creamer (flavored is fun!), or egg nog at the holidays -- about a T of cinnamon, a few T or about 1/3 C sugar (white or brown) and a pinch of salt. If you have some canned pumpkin, add about half a can. Stir and pour over the bread, let sit overnight ideally for it all to soak up the custard. You can add pecans if you like. Bake covered with foil about 35min at 350°, then uncover and crank up the heat for another 10-15 until brown and the edges are a little crispy. The sauce is a stick of butter, a cup of sugar, 2C of whipping cream, and about 1/2 c whiskey warmed on the stove til thickened. It's a really forgiving dish. You could add raisins or craisons, sub chocolate chips, sub apple pie filling, etc. You can skip the sauce and serve with syrup if you like. Or caramel sauce and whipped cream. Or fruit syrup. Or chocolate sauce. It's breakfast, or dessert. 😊
