We get Kentucky Fried Chicken with the sides and an apple pie this year because I do not feel like grilling in 100 degree weather! My dd works at KFC, so hopefully we'll get the good stuff. Extra crispy for me!

I just made some loaded baked potato salad for our festivities tomorrow. Nothing fancy but easy to make and take.
For a quickie dessert I make a strawberry shortcake trifle. All you gotta do is get an angel food cake and either cut it or tear it into small pieces, some strawberries and cool whip and layer it all in a trifle bowl. Super, super easy.

I'm bringing a taco dip (cream cheese, taco seas. & sour cream mixed w/lettuce, tomato & cheese sprinkled on top) & a brownie recipe that calls for spreading Fluff on top of cooled brownies and then swirling warmed chocolate frosting thru the marshmallow.
I've had the dip before, but the brownies are a new recipe. We shall see . . .

I'm taking a salad with romaine, apple, strawberries, blueberries, candied pecans, and feta, and I made a white Texas sheet cake which is one of my favorite things ever!
