I absolutely LOVE daylight savings. I am feeling quite melancholy about the end of summer two weeks ago, and the end of daylight savings in another two weeks. My thoughts ex@ctly. Haven’t worked out what there is to hate about it!

I love it when people, generally morning people, are all, "Just go to bed earlier" or "*I* don't have any issues so I don't see what the big deal is". How about some understanding to those who do struggle? It's the circadian equivalent of being blessed with a naturally fast metabolism and being dismissive of people who need to work harder to get the same result.
I prefer standard time because my circadian rhythm is very strongly tied to sun (and yes I've done all the tips and tricks) but I'm on the "just pick ONE and never change it again" side.

I love daylight savings time! The longer hours of daylight (in the evening) improve my mood significantly and I am much more productive. I hate standard time, but with changing the time twice a year, we all get a bit of what we like. I don't have to get up super early, so it's light out when I get up. But I can understand those that have to be at work very early in the morning would enjoy the early daylight. I never knew anyone didn't like DST until I found 2 peas! Haha! Everyone I know in real life loves it. I also look forward to Daylight time as an indicator that Spring and Summer are on the way. I guess for people who live in warm weather states, maybe it doesnt matter as much, but it does here! Yes! Me too!

It was glorious today to walk outside at 5:30 PM and still have sunshine! Usually it’s getting dark and gloomy at this time. Today it was lovely out and I was able to spend an hour working on the raised garden bed and start prepping the containers I use for the container garden I do every year. Puppy wash app to be outside. Once that was done, I prepped and put dinner it the instant pot, told DS to keep on eye on it and took Charlie the pup for a quick walk! Still light outside at 7:15 when we got back. Made a sale to go with dinner and since there was still some daylight, ate dinner outside! Best after work evening since last November when we changed to standard time.

Apparently we have tried permanent daylight savings times twice and it failed snd we went back to the way things were. 1974 I think was the last time. Other countries have tried it and then reverted back as well. Have we tried standard time? (Not snarky actually asking) From a quick google no just the attempt at permanent daylight savings time. I admit I’m having a real hard time getting up in the mornings. I swear it’s worse this year than in the past. It must be an age thing lol. I enjoy light in the evenings but we were already having light late enough as the days were already getting later here. I am the night owl in the family. Everyone else gets up early so lights are on in the mornings for hours especially in December and January. It’s also hard to go to sleep if it’s still light out, yes I know people do it but it’s difficult for me and our family snd we aren’t even in a northern area where it’s light until 10 or later.
