I’ve been getting Buffy clips on tik tok so I wanted to watch it - I was intrigued.
Now I’m only part way through season one - totally cheesy the whole way through? I’m enjoying it, DH won’t watch it 😂😂
But I need to know how the story goes! 😂

Prepare for darkness, death, heartbreak, the end of the world, singing, dancing, bunnies, sex, more heartbreak, the end of the world (again). I love Buffy and I've watched all seven seasons several times, I'm not going to tell you how the story goes though...sorry.

Totally fair - I’m hooked on the story line - I have googled and read a few things but not enough to spoil it for myself. DS came down and said “that’s Daphne” and I’m like “no that’s Buffy - she was Buffy first” lol SO many actors that went on to other things - hard to see Angel as Angel when I’m so used to Booth!

I was on the other side. I knew SMG as Kendall on All My Children before she was Buffy. And the actor who played Giles from the Taster’s Choice commercials.

Lol. There is no way we can tell you "how the story goes". It's everything that lainey said, plus a few things she left out (demons, vampires, and the end of the world again, just to name a few).

You just have to watch. It is great. A roller coaster. But great. Google when to watch the Angel crossover. I think you need to watch that in sequence.

I was a huge Buffy fan back in the day. It gets less campy and more dramatic after season 2, but more than that I will not tell you.

I’ve got a few friends that rave about this show. I haven’t been able to get thru season 1 though.

I loved the show, including the cheesy qualities. There are a few later seasons I didn't care for as much, but there are a lot of genuinely moving stories in it, and the writing is snappy.
The one thing is that so much crap has come out about Joss Whedon that I feel icky about it a bit now.

Always nice to get new Buffy fans onboard! I watched most of it back when it was originally on, but had some sort of conflict with Wednesday (?) nights so missed episodes here and there. Eventually, DH & I bought the DVD series, along with the Angel DVD series so we've watched it all the way through twice. (Don't judge me - someone had to watch with DD#2 & DS when they were old enough to watch it! LOL) Definitely everything lainey and monklady123 said, and more (dopplegangers, werewolves, dusty books in libraries, end of the world...) ! And yes, we watched the Angel crossover episodes in order, sandwiching them between Buffy episodes in the appropriate timeline.

It was one of my favorites. Enjoy!!!

I love Buffy!!!! I got to meet James Marsters (Spike) and Eliza Dushku (Faith) a few years back. And dh got me a Cameo from James for my birthday last year.
Some storylines are better than others and there will be kind of campy episodes and storylines but it also has some brilliant writing. Makes me upset that Joss ended up being such an ass.

I had it set to record and watched it multiple (I honestly can't count how many) times. After about a 5+ year break, I've got it recording reruns again I also love Angel, although there are parts I skip. Of the same era- Charmed and later because I loved Faith, Tru Calling (it should have had more seasons)

I LOVED this show when it first came out and still watch it all the time. Major show with a kick butt female protagonist (also a legend in real life) who was physically a lethal weapon but was also a normal teen girl - yes please, had never seen this before (like Janeway being a spaceship captain in Star Trek Voyager breaking all the rules!) Major character whose super power was originally being a major geek that was overlooked and marginalised and turned into another kick butt female - yes please x 2. Token bitchy teen cheerleaders actually being fleshed out into real characters whilst retaining their bitchiness - love it. Bad guy who was supposed to be in two episodes and ended up being so awesome he was almost in the whole series (and had one of the saddest back stories EVER.) Love it. Awesome writing about death, loss, depression, hard life decisions, growing up, relationships, parenthood, friendship, bad influences, responsibilities…. Yes! Monsters/baddies that ranged from camp to downright scarier than a Stephen king novel (hello the gentlemen episode!) yes yes yes. A whole episode that only had miming - serious acting props there for the whole cast. THE MUSICAL EPISODE (yes I still own the cd and love the songs) The MUSIC being played at the BRONX Love it love it love it. Welcome to the scooby gang!

My husband and I binge-watched it in 2009--we must have been ordering the DVDs from Netflix at that point in time! How funny to think about. We just loved it. Entering that world is really enjoyable.
The show "Wednesday" on Netflix is obviously a very different story, but we binged the first season in January, and it did make me think of the Buffyverse a bit. Just entering this whole other world that exists next to the world we know and rooting for a complex heroine and her friends. I hope Wednesday can grow into that type of experience--if Netflix doesn't yank it for one of their dumb reasons!

When it originally aired, I would only catch an episode here and there, never watched it straight through. But it’s always been one that I would like to see from beginning to end, so maybe this is my sign to give it a go now. 😉😆

And I know every word on the “Once More with Feeling” soundtrack OMG, yes to both! I may or may not have had a nightmare about Hush... "...there.must.be.bunnies...!" Definitely #Team Spike here! Loved his character (and James Marsters was perfect for it)! I really liked Faith too (Eliza Dushku), but was disappointed with parts of her story arc. And all the music in the show (esp the live music at the Bronze) was so freaking good too. Also, lg - I love your Daria avatar...speaking of strong female badass lead characters!
