It’s a bit windy here in the Bay Area and trees have been falling all over the area. And a big rig was blown on its side crossing the San Rafael-Richmond bridge.
Now we have this.

There is this…
And I’m pretty sure this is cancelled because of the wind/waves on the bay..
And this…
It’s kind of wild here right now…

My goodness these storms our state has had this year are beyond crazy. Stay safe up there!
My local mountain communities are under flood warning due to the rain causing a faster snow melt. I am near the river bed for the Santa Ana River that gets flow from melting snow and wash run off. It's going to get really high soon.
Our winds come tomorrow.
How are our other Ca peas holding up?

Watching the news and the glass fell from the 43rd floor of the high rise.
And about 275,000 folks are without power because of the wind and falling trees.
And the the Richmond Bridge is closed because of the big rig blown on its side….

It’s so windy on the bridge they have a line of tow trucks against the railing to act as a windbreak so they can upright the big rig.

Weird it’s so windy on the Richmond bridge - I just drove across Golden Gate Bridge half hour ago and it wasn’t bad at all.

There was a gust of 93 mph in west marin and an 83 mph gust in san mateo county mtn.. it was so windy that when I was out with my car, anytime I stopped, the car rocked... my son's apt looks out into the bay by alcatraz and he said he had never seen such strong white caps...and the container ships bobbing up and down... it has calmed down now.. at 5 pm..

It has been unbelievably windy here. We can see the Richmond San Rafael bridge and it looks like traffic is moving again so that’s good. We literally went nowhere, between the wind and the pouring rain at times it was good to be home.

Lots of downed trees in our city and people sharing their fences blew down. Some of the strongest wind we’ve ever had so I’m thinking all things considering we fared well.

Wow I used to work in that building. It was quite crazy here and I opted out of walking under all the trees at our park today. We have a couple of areas in our fences that will need to be replaced. I had to brace one today.

We had wind gusts up to 60 MPH between Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe. Thankfully our fence repairs from a month ago have been completed and held up well.
A tree was uprooted behind my DS's townhouse in the East Bay.
I wonder if one of the buildings in SF is the one that is sinking.

The Bank of America building or 555 California as it is now called is the one the glass fell from. It’s at California and Montgomery streets. Just checked to see what the cross street was and see The trump organization now owns the building with another firm.
It’s the Millennium Tower that is leaning/sinking. It’s down across from the Transbay Terminal which now has a new name as well.

It got windy up here (near Vallejo) but not scary windy. Hasn’t rained since this AM. I guess we got off easy.
Is that 555 California St building the same one that had a mass shooting at a law office back in the ’90s?

Is that 555 California St building the same one that had a mass shooting at a law office back in the ’90s? That was the round building I think the address is 100 California Street. I was working in the building across the street at 50 California St and sitting on the side of the building facing 100 California. We watched all these police officers running in the building and had no clue to what was happening until later. A friend of mine knew the shooter and said he doesn’t know what happened to him because he knew him as someone that would give you the shirt off his back. His words.

Watching the 10 O’clock news.
Boy that wind did a lot of damage.
At a small airport the wind flipped a small plane.
Down the Peninsula 7 power poles fell in the same area.
A tree fell on a BART train/track.
The rain is pretty much gone for the next couple of days and it took the wind with it.
But boy a lot of trees came down.
