what fictional detective or crime solving team (or cozy mystery series character) would you want to investigate your death? DH might be watching too much CSI and Bones lately...
I didn't do this as a poll because there are too many choices.
Poirot, Scarpetta, Sherlock Holmes, Nancy Drew, Monk, Dexter, Scooby Doo... and many many more.

Poirot or Inspector Linley.
I asked DH and he replied, "I want the one with the little grey cells."

Columbo. His "just one more thing" line of questioning would make them sorry for murdering me pretty damn quickly.

Natasha Lyonne from Poker Face. She wraps things up in a day and gets it right every time. Plus, I know I'll be dead, but she is super hot.

Depends ... did I die in a horrible and gruesome way, or a manner that can be described with cute alliteration and zero gore?!

Monk, Scooby Doo and the gang or Trixie Belden. Hahaha I have never known anyone else who read Trixie Belden! I loved those books! They were my favorite growing up. There were 16 in the first set of the series with the two original authors. They ended up having a lot more after I think. I still have the original 16 hard covered book (plus a lot of the continued series but they weren’t hard covered) which are so sad looking and well read. Hands down my very favorite bunch of books to read and reread as kid. And I read a lot. Hahaha

Clarice Starling (Silence of the Lambs). Her powers of deduction and leaps in logic are second to none.
Actually she's second to one: Robert Langdon (the DaVinci Code).
Either of those will do.
But there's also Dr Alex Delaware and his cop friend Milo (by Jonathan Kellerman), he does solid work. Detective Joe Kenda is a real person but to hear him re-tell it he's got crime solving superpowers.
Whoever it is, I definitely want Keith Morrison narrating the Dateline episode about me.
I hope they approach all my friends to give statements about how I lit up the room when I walked in, I was a selfless nurse who found a calling to help others, she was not just a beautiful face but also a beautiful soul, I was a brilliant and artistic child who grew up to be a natural leader...the usual things they trot out.

Love Kellerman! On his own though, not with wife or son, and just the Alex Delaware and Milo series. I am reading Unnatural History right now!

Love your list. Scarpetta is favorite, but no way I’d want to be one of her cases! The chance is too great it was a suffering, tortuous death. How about Stephanie Plum? Maybe some fun although mixed up hijinks happened.

The Criminal MInds team. With Dr. Spencer Reid on the case, and the rest of the team I'm sure they'll solve it in no time.

There was a local bookstore that we used to go to and I loved getting ones I had not read before. I reread them often as well!

John Connolly’s Charlie Parker. I plan on haunting whoever did it, and Charlie will figure it out.

My favourite "detectives" are either Johnathon and Jennifer Hart or I'm really enjoying Darby and Joan right now. From books, I'd love to have Kinsey Milhone investigate my demise!

Kay Scarpetta for sure, the first 10 or so of her books are my favorite, have read them through several times. But y’all can save her the effort. Tell her it was my husband and I request full immunity for him. I am an extreme PITA to live with and it was almost assuredly justified. Love your list. Scarpetta is favorite, but no way I’d want to be one of her cases! The chance is too great it was a suffering, tortuous death. How about Stephanie Plum? Maybe some fun although mixed up hijinks happened. Oh, you make a really good point. Two good points actually. I want Ranger helping to locate my body Awesome question breetheflea! As I go back and read everyone’s answers it makes me want to reread quite a few series.
