What are some of your favorite salad dressings? I am looking to expand my options. š Many of the favorite brands listed in the taco salad thread are ones that I have never heard of (I am on the east coast). Do you have a favorite regional/local brand? I love Ranch, but not bottled. I have to make it from the HIdden Valley packets. Blue Cheese is also a big favorite but havenāt really found a bottled one that I love. Is there a favorite one that you make? Bonus points (and a long shot) for anyone from the Chattanooga area who has a knock off recipe for this dressing. We ate here many years ago and loved this dressing. They bottled it and we brought some home because we all loved it. A few years after we went, I called them and begged them to ship me some (not a thing back then) and they did but I had to buy a case. I did have them and gave it to my mother for Christmas. Well I was cleaning out bottles and found this one. I googled it and it looks like the restaurant has since closed but wondered if there was a knock off recipe floating around somewhere for it. I would like to try and recreate it, seems like pretty standard/easy ingredients.

Not a brand but Ina Garten's Green Goddess salad dressing. I don't need a salad I'll just take a big spoonful of that stuff by itself.

paleo/dump ranch with WAY TOO MUCH dill is my absolute favorite thing. I also love a good homemade honey mustard dressing with chunky whole grain mustard.
Otherwise I love Ken's Honey Mustard for all my salad and dippin' needs. Brianna's Creamy Balsamic is another fav for me. And Italian is always a go-to when I can't think of anything else to use.

One of my favorites is a homemade one. Mayo, ketchup, red wine vinegar, salt and pepper. I guess it's a twist on French dressing???

I make all kinds of vinaigrette variations depending on what we're eating. Balsamic most often, but lemon, mixed citrus, fig, raspberry, etc. are all options too. I don't buy dressings.

I like the Ken's Steakhouse brand of salad dressing- Italian has to be Wishbone or Olive Garden. Catalina and French are Kraft. Thoisand Island I think I go between Ken's and Kraft.
I miss the pre-ranch days when restaurants had a wide variety of dressings- French, Thousand Island, Italian, Oil&Vinegar, etc.
There used to be a bottled dressing called Henri's. I cant remember what the dressing was actually called, bit it was gooood.

I never buy dressing - my favorite is 3 parts oil and 1 part balsamic vinegar with a tiny pinch of salt. Goes with everything and my kids also love it.

A local restaurant called Romano's have their own ranch dressing. Just started buying it in the bottle when we go there.. SO good. No one is the family is allowed to use it but me.. LOL If anyone is in the Denver area, you should visit them.. Romano's Italian Restaurant in old Littleton... since 1967. It's as Italian as you can get for Colorado. I like Poppy Seed dressing too...sold cold at the grocery store. I think it is Panara's dressing..

Ranch -- either homemade or at a local restaurant (and yay! We're going tonight for a wine dinner, so I hope I can get it with our meal!).

I buy flavoured oils and vinegars and mix them to make dressing.
I love Three Diamond Dressing, from a small town in southern BC, pick up some whenever I'm there.

We like Kenās dressings, particularly the poppyseed. For refrigerated, Makoto Original Ginger Dressing, For homemade vinaigrette, the vinaigrette recipe on AllRecipes for Strawberry Spinach Salad. The only blue cheese dressing I make is the ATK Blue Cheese Dressing recipe. I always use Maytag blue cheese and for the vinegar, champagne vinegar from the Fresh Market.

It comes and goes for availability. Sometimes I can find it at Walmart. Kroger has a similar product but itās not nearly as good as Henriās!

Ken's Simply Vinaigrette dressings. If I'm going to a party and taking salad, I'll make my own vinaigrette--usually lemon based.

My fav dressing is just a mixture of good quality EVOO and balsamic vinegar with some salt and pepper ... A more detailed one that I make is EVOO, white wine vinegar (or red wine vinegar or champagne vinegar or fresh lemon juice), dijon mustard, grated garlic and salt and pepper ... Both are yummy! I'm not crazy about creamy dressings ... ducks head!

crazy4scraps , Thanks! I was going to try but was being a it lazy and wondered if anyone had a recipe. š. I will try at some point. The restaurant one did not have celery seed but actual celery pieces so I start with the basic recipe minus the celery seed and then add some chopped celery..

Garlic Expressions Vinaigrette. We call this crack dressing at our house. HEB stopped selling it so we order online now. Great tasting, basic dressing. We use this one on our spinach garden salads. But the one we use most often now is a homemade Balsamic Vinaigrette. We use this one on our āmealā salads with grilled chicken, goat cheese, toasted nuts, cranberries and pear/white peach. i love celery and think it should be added to everything, would love to try a dressing like that! Current favorite is Briannaās Blush Wine Vinaigrette Dressing. Bought it on a whim and it is delicious. I had forgotten about this one, it used to be our favorite!

Love Nordstrom's Dark Cherry Balsamic Vinaigrette. Hendrickson's Original Sweet Vinegar and Olive Oil. Longhorn Steak House's bleu cheese. And ranch from the Hidden Valley packets. And I agree with dewryce, Garlic Expressions is also great!

What are some of your favorite salad dressings? I really like Annie's Organic Salad Dressings...favorites are Shiitake Sesame, Sesame Ginger Vinaigrette, Balsamic Vinaigrette & Red Wine & Olive Oil Vinaigrette. There is a local deli here that makes their own Italian vinaigrette dressing, that is soooo good and they sell it...so occasionally I buy that for a special treat (kind of pricey). For a creamier dressing, I like Bolthouse Farms Cilantro Avocado.
The ingredients are on the label, and this one from food.com has the same ingredients listed so maybe itās close? Usually the ingredients are listed on the label by order of weight/volume. You could always make it once and alter the quantities until it seems right. www.food.com/recipe/celery-seed-dressing-26869I located the same one, the ingredients are similar except this one has celery seed instead of celery - I think it is worth a try.
