I went to two stores (one of which was Target.) Peeps in seventeen different colors/flavors and Cadbury Creme Eggs (yuck) and not much else. I'm not even complaining about the prices (atrocious) but the selection...
Where do you buy Easter candy because obviously I need to shop somewhere else...

See's candy is the best IMO.
I buy the cute little Easter boxes. They aren't cheap but honestly a small box is plenty because the candies are so rich.

My mom always gave us See's Candy eggs. Though one sibling got peep chicks and another siblings and I got Cadbury Eggs as well (yum!)

I've noticed this over the last few years, too. Just awful, awful selections wherever I've looked. You used to be able to get some decent middle ground stuff, better than Elmer's but not as fine as See's. Now if that stuff is available, they aren't selling it here!

My kids are older (19. 23 and 25) so we haven't done Easter baskets in years. That stinks about the selection and the prices! I can't imagine if I had little kids and they wanted to dye eggs, as they are still $4-$5 a dozen where we live.
Could you do $5 gift cards to places they like instead of candy if you can't find a good selection anywhere?

What are you looking for? Stores seem to have as much as always here. I swear I have seen more at both Sam’s and Costco too. We don’t do peeps or Cadbury. My son likes jelly beans and chocolate eggs. I also bought a Lindt chocolate bunny. He is brand specific and I found the ones he likes. I am seeing more big variety bags to the last few years. Target, Walmart and Dollar Tree had the normal insane amounts the few times I looked which honestly was a few weeks ago.

Reese’s eggs and Extra Creamy Hershey Kisses are our favorites. Didn’t see Butterfinger eggs this year. Those are my husband’s favorites.

Our Target has a lot. The local grocery store I was just at didn't have a huge selection but it was still decent. (more expensive than Target though)

I also have some See's being delivered, but Aldi really has a lot of options, and for quite reasonable prices.

We are just back from a trip to the UK. I let ds22 go crazy at the grocery stores. Tons of fun things and he prefers chocolates from the UK vs America. I did tell him it was his Easter basket so now I won't have to ship one. So it was a win all around.

I bought mine at Costco. Two 2-packs of chocolate bunnies, and a box of various chocolates shaped and wrapped like carrots, bunnies, sheep, etc. -- They also have a bag of chocolate eggs (hollow) wrapped in bright Easter foil paper, a bag of malted eggs, and a few other things that I've forgotten.

I just ordered a bag of Ghirardelli filled chocolate bunnies from Amazon. Cost more the Aldi bunnies, but will be here Saturday, and I want them.

Reese eggs are the biggest favorite here. Haven't been out to look for them yet.
I will have to stock up on peeps, though. I used to never really like them but then I started roasting them over the fire pit and OMG, the Best! The sugar gets all bruleed and crunchy.

I bought all my candy at Walmart this year. A big Reese's bunny, a couple kinds of jelly beans, sour filled gummy worms, Twizzler bunnies, and Sour Patch bunnies. So many other options, too.

What kind of bugs me is that so much of it is just normal everyday candy with Easter wrappers. And that it’s all so freaking expensive and the bags are all smaller. I’m in a real quandary this year because my kid is too old for toys, doesn’t want any new video games and doesn’t really even eat the candy no matter what kind it is. I literally bought her a telescoping back scratcher today to put in her Easter basket because at this point I have NOTHING bought yet. 😳😬 Normally by now I already have a grocery bag full of stuff.

I LIVE for these. I've seen them all over and if I recall correctly there is also a new larger size. I haven't bought any because of Lent but as soon as I can eat sweets again I'm stocking up.
The overall selection seems to be the same. Other than Reese eggs I may pick up pastel M&M's if I see them. Even as a kid I wasn't a big Easter candy fan, other than Sweet-Tarts.

I bought all my candy at Walmart this year. A big Reese's bunny, a couple kinds of jelly beans, sour filled gummy worms, Twizzler bunnies, and Sour Patch bunnies. So many other options, too. I looked at a few of our Walmarts for these Twizzler Bunnies and they don't have them. My elderly mom loves Twizzlers but not chocolate, so thought it would be fun to get her some. Did a Google search for them and other places like Amazon are selling a 7 oz bag for $12.99. Geezzz! I'll keep trying to check our Walmarts.

Who needs variety?? All I need is Cadbury Mini-eggs!!
I am on the lookout for O’Henry Easter eggs… A little nostalgia from my childhood. Truth be told I already bought them this year, but they are long gone Oops! so now I’m on the hunt as they MUST go in the Easter baskets (my kids are 23 and 21 lol)

I have to order for "kids" living far away. Amazon has a large selection --from jelly beans to Ghardali (sp?) chocolate.
